Earlier this year in January, we got a brief update from Comcept on the status of the Mighty No. 9 release. Dated January 25, this update informed backers that a critical bug in the multiplayer component of the game has set the team back more than expected and while the team is still pushing for a Spring 2016 release date, no official date was given in that update. Since then, the team at Comcept have been relatively quiet about the state of the game. The game’s official Twitter account has been dead since that Kickstarter update, only posting one to show off a sketch Inafune did to honor the creators of Mad Max. Gamers who backed the Kickstarter are understandably upset and the last update page is littered with complaints about people wondering where their game and rewards are. The Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter managed to garner over $4 million dollars in support back in 2013 and since then, Inafune and his team have created several more Kickstarter projects, including a failed campaign for a game that Inafune promised would still be made despite the failure. Gameranx contacted publisher Deep Silver to inquire about the game, but Deep Silver stated they have no comments about the availability of Mighty No. 9. It’s been three years since the game was kickstarted and numerous delays have piled up in that time. If you’re a backer of this project, are you still excited about it? local_offer Nintendo wii u stars Further Reading Is Nintendo shafting Axiom Verge because of Dan Adelman?
