Capcom has been doing a good job of hyping the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U fans. Last time we got a preview of Plesioth and his set of new moves for the game, but this time Capcom is showcasing Brachydios the Brute Wyvern. Brachydios exudes slime which is new element for the game, causing players to be wary of their footing while fighting him. The slime is also capable of exploding, putting a new twist on how players will need to defeat him.

You can check out our gallery below to see more screenshots of the beast, or head on over to Capcom Unity where the fight is described in full detail.

Well raid bosses have slime like that, lol.

Looks pretty close to the level of WoW quality of visuals

  • Savion Tucker

…2 weeks later. “This game has been delayed and is no longer a Nintendo Wii U exclusive.” Nintendo you better hold onto this one along with Lego City Undercover!

    • Sidney Majurie

This game isn’t going anywhere. Capcom signed an exclusivity deal with Nintendo for Monster Hunter through 2015. Unlike Ubisoft who was just running around claiming exclusivity for Legends without signing a deal… Not sure about Lego City though…

      • sharlo galmo

lego city will also stay exclusive, cause nintendo got the right from that game!

      • TheLast

That could explain why new MH games haven’t been on anything other than Nintendo recently. However, does that mean Capcom lied about it, as it was originally just a rumor, and they said it was untrue? It also doesn’t explain MHP3rd, since that came out for PSP and PS3 in 2010 and 2011 respectively, which makes me believe it was false. *shrugs*

        • Well, MH did so bad on Sony systems and only did well with Nintendo, that I don’t think Capcom wants to spend the manufacturing and marketing costs on a port that won’t make them any money.

      • Rodri Tihuana

Well Campcom also said Resident Evil 4 was exclusive.. and Revelations…

        • Sidney Majurie

Those were “timed exclusive” deals. Which means after 6 months they can sell on other platforms.

      • Lego City was the first officially announced title for the Wii U. I don’t think they’re gonna take that away.

        • Sidney Majurie

Yeah. Found ou that Nintendo actually helped to fund the game as well, so if Lego City were to go to other platforms, Nintendo would have to approve it. And we all know tbat’s not going to happen ūüėÄ

          • ¬†Help funding a game is like paying for an exclusive.¬† The only problem is, they paid for the wrong ones!¬† Wii U get’s Lego GTA, the other two (four?) get the real GTA.¬† The baby game rep for Nintendo is not going away anytime soon…

          • ¬†rockstar already said the pc and wii u¬† versions are a possibility, and the fact that they pushed the release date farther back could be the light at the end of the tunnel

          • ¬†Rockstar already made it clear that they will not publish games to platforms with a low installed user base, which is the Wii U.¬† If they pushed it back, it could be to put it out on the PC and the new systems all at once.¬† If it does make it out on the Wii U, then Nintendo paid them.

      • Fairly sure Nintendo are publishing Lego City, so I doubt it will just to another console.

    • Kuzon

The Monster Hunter team dislikes Sony now a lot after what happened a while ago. And they don’t care about the Xbox 360 since MH would never sell on it or in Japan.

      • Monster Hunter Online was on Xbox 360…. but yeah it didn’t sale well because I believe only 3 people bought it and it had to be taken off the shelves due to being on a crap console¬†

      • MH101

You relise MH frontier is on Xbox 360 and its in Japan only and the number one selling game (frontier in Japan) May want to confirm before posting a comment.

        • J_Joestar

¬†Are you sure the 360 version is selling well and it isn’t mainly the PC version? I don’t hate the 360 or anything, but Japan tends to have a very xenophobic view of it.

    • tomtank91

Lego City undercover is published by Nintendo so it can never be on another console

  • Graham Gillman

This game is gonna be Kick-ass.

  • This is not related to this artikel but i have seen plenty of ps4 and xbox fangays on face book that say wiiu is a slow console, and that its only have 1.2ghz but that i heard is that both ps4 and xbox 720 gonna have a weak cpu also 1.6ghz, so i gets so pissed of when i read people that talks shit about wii u

    • sharlo galmo

that’s because the ps4 and xbxo720 also used gpgpu, but many peeps don’t understand a shit about that!

      • ¬†yeah it seems that they dont understand a shit,

      • I think the Wii U is running on a GPGPU, is it not?¬†

But still Nintendo actually made the right chose to have their CPU made by ARM instead of AMD because of.. obvious reasons

ARM’s CPU are like Intel’s CPU, fast and takes up less energy from the system and still is more powerful while the AMD 8 Cores rumored to be in the next xbox and playstation… yeah Wii U is going to kick their asses¬†

        • tomtank91

          I hope your right.

        • Elem187

I don’t think the Wii U will be as fast as the other two consoles… Their is a reason why Nintnendo consoles are super inexpensive.

The ps4/720 will be faster, it’s just a fact of life, but it will not be the massive jump that the Wii to ps360 was.

Judging by the leaked specs it will be roughly 25% to 50% faster. Not exactly earth shattering performance levels.

          • MujuraNoKamen

¬†A marginal upgrade in hardware won’t do any damage to Wii U, so it will continue to get multi-plat games. Also rumours say that the next consoles will have touch-screen controllers (real original guys) It’ll be interesting to see the fanboys defend that after all the shit they gave Wii U. Regardless of the specs, I’m wondering how long before problems start surfacing with the PS4 and 720, MS will probably stick with the Red Ring of Death to force people into buying another XBox. Also there’s the issue of dodgy ports (PS3 had loads of them) and development problems.

    • tomtank91

yeah I know but the xbox n ps3 will have 8 core cpu chips each running at 1.6ghz but its all still a rumour.

  • angel

ima get this game with X

  • Sami Rautio

The game looks pretty interesting never played on wii ¬†ūüôā might as well get it bcos no more rayman anymore …so is there 1. local coop) 2. and online multiplayer ?¬†

    • tomtank91

my first thought after all the hate for Ubisoft then thought this will be a great opportunity for Capcom to make a killing with MH3, also I never played the original on the Wii, so im looking forward to this.

      • Elem187

I wasn’t going to get Monster Hunter, but since its the only game that looks interesting it will get my Rayman Legends money I had set aside….. Not a big fan of Lego.

    • WiiUltra

Online of course. As for local co-op, I’m pretty sure it will because the Wii version had something called Arena where you could play offline with a friend. But the Arena was not part of the story, thats only 1 player.¬†

      • J_Joestar

¬†Actually there is no single system Co-op like Tri’s arena, the only Local Co-op is playing locally with up to 3 others using 3DSs (each must have their own game as well).

  • DemonRoach

Should have been a launch game.  Nintendo Dropped the ball.

    • Gearchin

¬†yeah ,they dropped their balls on your face, that’s why you bash Nintendo so much.

  • I hope this Wii game is going to be sold at half price. This is a Wii game right?

    • Srpg2ishere

      Nope. It’s a PS4 game….

  • Kirzan

Guys, Rayman = Ubisoft without a deal. MH3 = Capcom with a deal. There is NO relation between the two. MH3 will not become multiplatform. Also, if it did, who gives a damn?

I’d rather worry about it not coming out in a bundle with the Pro. But we all know it will. If there’s one franchise Capcom still delivers on, it’s Monster Hunter. And to the ones saying “is this a Wii game hurr durr”, guess what? Resident Evil changed. Is this what you want? I’d rather have a Wii U version of a fantastic game, than a new yet badly designed game coded by a bad dev: RE6.
