One of the new things discussed during today’s Nintendo Direct was Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games. The game will feature an online multiplayer mode for four events, allowing players to earn medals against players around the globe. A unique feature of the game is each time a player earns a medal in a competition, they will earn points for their home country, showing off the rankings for each country in a global format. Currently four events will be available online. A special edition of the game will be releasing with a blue Wii Motion Plus remote. The game will release in November for North America. local_offer mario & sonic sochi Nintendo wii u stars Further Reading Nintendo shares up 20% since Switch launch What's your dumbest death in Breath of the Wild? Even if I already have 4, who cares? And a blue one to bat! I am looking forward to the day when Pro controllers are bundled though. Could use a few more of those. Also, online play might have just sold this game to me. The 2012 Summer Games is the only one in the series I’ve ever played, but it got old rather fast even playing with my family. Hopefully the online play will give it more re-playability! Guest Out of Topic: Youtube in the Wii U browser is failing on me again. A lot of videos can’t be seen on the device, other videos miraculously work, but it’s rare. Am I the only one with this problem? It was working after I updated, but the next day it just stopped. Petri I wonder how the ranking of country works. Because countries with less population could be at disadvantage. But still not 100% sure of this game. Sdudyoy No offense but I think they should have shown this game first because after seeing that 3D world trailer this was very underwhelming. Deezy Nintendo please, can you bring back Mario Party please?!?! Bitmin1991 I wouldn’t mind, but I’d rather them work on new Wii Party’s in between releases. Ducked Okay, now the game is worth $60. KoopaShell Green Hill Zone with snow… Miles “Tails” Prower I think I’ll buy this game. Not entirely sure. Mario Finally! A Mario and Sonic game with online play!
