Warner Bros. haven’t sent out a press release for Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes yet, but both Amazon and Gamestop have pages up for the game stating a May 21st release date. The game has already been made available on several other platforms, including 3DS, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Vita. We’ve known the game was coming for quite some time but up until now, we’ve only had a vague release date as to when.

It seems the Lego games are getting quite popular as Wii U releases, as Lego City: Undercover was released as a Wii U exclusive last month and Lego Marvel Super Heroes is due for release later this year. Will you be picking this one up?

When is the VC coming? 🙁

    • AAAkabob

Soon, probly with the firmware update.

      • Nonayo Business

Too bad we don’t know when that is. I’ve been loving Punch out and it would be nice to get a few more (with less than a month in between)

        • Nintenjoe82

Yeah exactly, I’m loving my 30p games and am excited about Kirby and Super Metroid but they’ve only given us a vague ‘April’ date for the update.

I should be careful what I wish for. The VC update could cost me quite a bit of money.

  • Superstick98

Will definitely be picking this up. The Lego games are always fantastic and this one is brilliant. And with Miiverse features and using the gamepad for a map and Off-TV play? I just don’t see how It could get any better.

    • mikel334u2

Well obviously it’ll be better since the 6-year younger Wii U will have better features, but this is a late port of a LEGO game, and gamers have already played this a year ago. It was even already released on the Wii, so kids have already played it, and it’s not worth the money to repurchase the game.

  • D.M.T

I don’t think it’s smart to release a new Lego game shortly after Lego City Undercover. This Lego game won’t sell nearly as much as Lego City.

    • Sidney Majurie

It actually could sell better because of DC comic fan recognition and Lego City familiarizing more Wii U owners to the Lego brand. Lego City could be the Lego gateway drug on Wii U 😀

Maybe for a small group of the fanbase, but I mostly agree with Nintendawg. Sometimes you can be your own competition. If they release another Lego game to soon, it will have to compete with Lego City for sales, because not everyone has bought Lego City yet. If they release later, after Lego City stops selling, they can maximize their sales.

        • Sidney Majurie

Well it wont come out till the end of May. Two months after Lego City so that won’t hurt it’s sales.

          • greengecko007

Some people wait several months before deciding they want a game. Two months is not enough time to maximize your sales and allow everyone to buy it. I’m sure that they’ll still make a good amount of money though. It’s not going to hurt them in any way, but they might not make as much money as they could have.

I’m gonna start buying Lego Games, for the Wii and Wii U!
I have never played a Lego game, but my brother had Lego Star Wars.

I would never have expected Lego games to be so successful, I want in on the action!

  • Moltenz

oh good another old game. lucky us lol

  • Scott McAllister

Anybody know what the differences will be between the Wii version and the Wii U version, other than sharper graphics ?

  • RyuNoHadouken

didnt I beat this on PS3 a year ago?

  • Chiwawa

I hope they add more to do in the city. also, they should add a day/night cycle. Im LOVING Lego city, but wouldn’t it be cool to take a midnight drive around town?

  • Nonayo Business

I’m downloading this game. my wife and I will play it

    • Fred

I’m also planing on downloading it through the eShop. 10% off through the deluxe program plus I’ll get club nintendo points plus it’s always in and I won’t have to worry about where to store yet another disc (all my drawers in my entertainment center are FULL of PS3, Wii, Wii U, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and 3D Blu-rays)

  • Even more Legos! More baby games! Man, Nintendo must love it’s image or they have nothing else to offer.

    • bizzy gie

Lego DC has already released on the PS3 and XBOX 360.

    • NkoSekirei

stfu troll ur the only one that acts like a baby on here bitch

  • gAMEr84

Im getting tired of nintedo releasing these last gen games that retail for 60 bucks. if they’re going to give us all these old last gen ports why dont they just make them download only for a price of 20 bucks. Nintendo needs to stop insulting us wii u owners with these over priced old games. Its getting sickening.

  • scarlet

I think that this is being released the same day the LEGO batman 2: DC Universe Super Heroes movie is coming out!!

    • Sol Ridgeway

The movie is good, and it is surprising how different the cut-scenes are from the actually movie. I thought they would have just filled in instead of making a movie.

  • disqus_NH30bZw0gm

Why buy this for $60 after most people already played it/own it for other consoles when Lego City will be $30-$40 by then? Because I own it for my Wii (beat it twice) and there does not seem to be really cool features like in Lego City (scanning for criminals, audio scanning etc) it can’t be that much different unless it is much more than just a port? Which would not make sense because it will be more than a year old when it is released…

  • disqus_NH30bZw0gm

I have a Wii U and own Lego City because it is AWESOME!!

  • Teem Four Tress Too

Why do we need this? Its a bit too late on my opinion. If nintendo adds more to the story or more extras, then maybe its buyable.

  • I will definitely pick this up for the WiiU -IF- it’s sold at a discounted price like somewhere around $20-$30 anything more and forget it since i beat it a long time ago on the 360.

    • Sol Ridgeway

I agree with you. Around $20-$30. I still play it with my kid on the Wii. Why is it that everyone forgot this was released on the Wii too?

  • Ducked

I already saw this release on GameStop like 2 weeks ago…
