For those of you who are fans of the lovable fluff that is Kirby, you’ll be happy to know that not one, not two, but three of his games are coming to the Wii U virtual shop next week. Those games are:

  • Kirby’s Dream Land 3
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • Kirby Super Star

As each of these is a SNES game, they will cost $7.99 and will feature off-TV play on the Wii U GamePad. Remember, Kirby’s Adventure is currently available for the .30 cent promotion until tomorrow, so if you haven’t picked that game up, you should do it now. Will you be picking any of these titles up? Let us know in the comments below.

I don’t want to play these games. It’s getting tiring to me to play Kirby games. I liked them at first, but now it’s the same things over and over.
    I want something different.

    • Then don’t download next week and move on… You may not like them and I never really got into them either but there is a pretty big fan base out there so you cannot expect from the huge library of games Nintendo can release to the Virtual Console that you will like everyone

      • John Andalora

I’m just tired of buying and playing games I’ve already played before. Everyone on this site keeps moaning on about how every fan wants something “new” or “special”, or how true fans want some game or some console, and since no one says otherwise, people think it’s just true.
I am expressing my opinion so people don’t say that all “fans” of Nintendo want this.

        • Point taken.. There are plenty of fans that like playing classic games and not just ones from Nintendo even though they seem to be the most popular. I guess that is why those types of games are offered on all consoles.

          • John Andalora

I will admit that I’ve bought some virtual console games and liked them. But they don’t really last too long. More of a fun diversion than something that really has substantial value

          • Zombie Boy

Personally I love the classics and am working on my Wii U having the best Nintendo titles of all time – all of the Super Mario Bros games, for instance – at the touch of a button (or pad, in this case). Of course the newer games are more involving than the old ones, but there’s nothing like putting Super Mario World on for ten minutes or so if you have some time to kill. I think it’s great that we have the option to do that when the other next gen consoles won’t even be backwards-compatible!

          • John Andalora

            I think it’s a fairly nice idea.
However, my concern is that some gamers who already have those games on the original console might already have these games and not have a desire for buying them again.
But, while there are some like that, it’s not bad.
            Just show us something new.

PS I’m still waiting for more news on EarthBound. When that hits VC, I’ll be excited.

          • Zombie Boy

Obviously if you already have the games for the Wii VC then it isn’t worth it. But I don’t (I never took my Wii online), and I’m sure I’m not alone in this. For a lot of people – especially the younger generation – the Wii U might be their first Nintendo console, and so never had access to those games before.

          • John Andalora

            Very true.
I just hope Nintendo releases something on VC that few people played, or release something a bit bigger, for those individuals who have these consoles and games and show those who only bought the Wii U why Nintendo is so much fun.

          • Zombie Boy

Well I’m looking forward to the N64, GBA and Gamecube games, as well as Earthbound and the like. But patience is a virtue, I guess.

          • Fred

I never bought any online wii games, but I’ve now purchased a whole bunch of Wii U downloadable games.

  • Pamm!!

The Wii U VC is MILES ahead of where the Wii VC was when it first released. Multiple 1st party titles close to the launch of the VC? YES!!!
