Injustice Gods Among Us Wii U

Injustice: Gods Among Us is not without its problems, but that’s something we’ll be going further into with our review next week. Fans have been voicing their outrage over the lack of custom matches in particular, making it nearly impossible to play with friends. One fan took to Twitter, asking one of the developers at NetherRealm whether or not the Wii U version would be receiving patch support. Thankfully, that answer is yes.

It’s disheartening that the Wii U version of the game launched without this feature and NetherRealm has not offered the season pass DLC deal as it will to other consoles, but at least the developer isn’t abandoning the game entirely.

When have they said they are not bringing the DLC to the WIiu version ?

    • You’re right, there’s no official confirmation yet, but the Wii U didn’t get the season pass deal that other consoles did. That’s pretty damning.

      • Nintedward

Don’t care about season pass as long as the DLC still comes. It does say on the back of the box it is coming.

        • this console shouldnt be fed scraps, it should be dining on the entire meal that it should

      • yeah its a little concerning to me that its still getting left out of, to me the dlc they are adding seems like one of those things you do to quiet people down for an example what some may call a filler

  • I find not having a season pass to be a good thing, and they won’t be feasible until they offer 3 things:

    1. They detail exactly what is in the season pass.
    2. Include all future DLC as it is released.
    3. Contain exclusive content that isn’t pay to win.

Having the option to pick and choose is much better than picking out of a mystery box and getting good, bad, or really bad crap.

Season pass and DLC are two different things. I am pretty sure that Wii U will see DLC as Nintendo said so themselves in a Feb Nintendo Direct! No other console has DLC yet so people should not jump into any conclusions especially about something that has only been said to happen: http://youtu.be/cntz1GyM1Bs?t=35m1s

    • prettypinkpanacea

Yes, I agree. For a more focused look on purchasing downloadable content, check out this youtube release:
I think they are in the process of setting up the nintendo network independently of the wii u game console. DLC will happen. It is just a matter of time.

  • Wayne Beck

I don’t know what all the complaining is about.. This game is freakin awesome.

    • Jimmy D. Fugate

I agree, I’m having a lot of fun with it!

    • stratisifre

they’re complaining about how the wii u version is missing a ton of key features that every modern fighting game has, but the other versions have it. pretty lame.

      • Wayne Beck

What features? iPad integration That’s the only thing missing from my game and I couldn’t care less.

        • stratisifre

its missing not only that, but the ability to play with friends online and dlc are also missing.

  • Darkhail22

Pretty sure on the back of the Wii U box, there was a note about downloadable content…

    • Laud

That’s a good idea, we should sue them for false advertising if they don’t release DLC for the system.

      GOOD PLAN.

      • Darkhail22

Last I read, the plan to sue was your idea. I merely noted they hinted about DLC for the Wii U release, on the box.

      • david daniel wharton camacho

ill help you, the e-shop says it too ๐Ÿ™ like im fine with it, but i would love at least russian wonderwoman!

      • NkoSekirei

if ur lawsuit backfires well say its all or idea and high on crack as well

    • Ace J

      samething about black ops 2

    • bizzy gie

Did it say ‘downloadable content’ or ‘add on content’? Because BO 2 for Wii U says ‘add on content’ and we all know how that turned out.

      • Darkhail22

The box states “Downloadable Game Content” on the backside.

    • DLC is different to Patch

  • Sami Rautio

I do agree game looks super neat….But ..i also would like to see DBZ budokai tenkaitsi 3 kind of Dbz game on Wii U ๐Ÿ™‚ + Tatsunoko vs Capcom 2 ๐Ÿ˜€ I loved Dbz on my Wii

  • lionjaws

dont know who to thank but thats good news about the DLC and to play with friends

  • grandlx2

Again.. we get the gimped bugged infested copy. Look at Spider-Man for an example.. Then look at half the ports the Wii U has gotten. So many rushed half-assed ports. Netherrealm/Warner Bros should reward Wii U owners for this BS. An apology is not enough for a half-ass port. From what my friend’s are saying (one who works with a game company and has gotten a copy since monday) the wii u version has slightly gimped visuals. I have my copy of Injustice on the way (arrives on the 23rd) I hope they fix these problems!

Also, why no leaderboards? The online options are there made possible by Nintendo! Why aren’t they taking us Nintendo buyers more seriously?

  • Cerus98

Isn’t the Wii U version also missing IOS features?

  • Cap9

What I don’t understand is how a company could make a messed up port or wii u version and expect us to buy it, and when we don’t buy their poorly made games, they blame it on Wii U and stop giving us games, just like EA did with FIFA on Wii U and all the other games. Either give us a complete and excellent game or I won’t support.

  • brian murphy

if anyone cares about Xenoblade i seen it for the Wii U on sale at walmart.com so im guessing were gonna have this game by the end of the year if its date is right

  • Gregory Edcius

Ik heb een Nintendo Wii points card code voor gratis! : D freewiipointsforever (dot) com

  • Gabriel Dowdy

Thank you NetherRelms for not giving us Wii U fateful the shaft. (Activision BLOPS 2) >:(

  • Guess If a game goes multiplatform need to stay away from the WiiU version. Why aren’t costumes getting patched in either?

  • Zombie Boy

I just want to get one thing clear before I buy this game. I don’t play online. Can I still play against a friend on local multiplayer – them versus me in my front room, with a control pad each connected to my Wii U?

If not then I’ll be giving this game a miss.

    • stratisifre

yes you can definetly play loca multiplayer, and it’s a blast. you just can’t make a lobby and play online with friends, which really sucks because me and my friend both bought the wii u version so we could play online. this better get fixed.

      • Zombie Boy

Works for me then. I’d heard otherwise (internet rumours), so its nice to hear from someone that owns it. I don’t play online, just with friends after the pub! So this is a must-buy for me ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks.

        • stratisifre

yeah it’s not such a deal breaker for me, seeing as dlc for fighting games is usually 100% pointless unless you absolutely love learning a new character that probably isn’t as good as characters that are already ing the game, and i’ve played fighting games online with my friends maybe….twice? but yeah, totally supports local multiplayer, the only controllers it supports are the gamepad and the pro controller.

          • Zombie Boy

I’ll have to pick up a pro controller then as I’ve been using a classic controller until now. But I knew this day would come eventually!

          • stratisifre

you won’te regret it, they’re very nice controllers

  • $41809923

thank you hope to see more dlc coming to the wii u we would like to see a season pass dlc for the wii u and fix these combs in star labs they do not work right hope to see dr.fate in the game

  • stratisifre

why are some developers suprised that the wii u version of the game isn’t selling well when they don’t offer THE SAME THINGS that come with the other versions?like with the wii u not getting the mass effect trilogy or blackops 2 not getting dlc. do they really think people are just going to ignore the fact that they are releasing gimped versions for the wii u so it’ll be a lot less likely that anyone will buy it for that platform? i will say though, they did it right with arkham city. they had all of the dlc, plus a ton of new features that actually added to the game. while i am enjoying this game on my wii u, it still really pisses me off that they would just leave out features that are present in the other versions. it supports the features they left out, so there really is no excuse to not have them.
