Yesterday we reported on a leak from Famitsu that stated that Agitha and Lana would be playable characters in the upcoming Hyrule Warriors game. The leak comes directly from Famitsu insiders, so there’s no scans of the pages yet, but these characters have been confirmed. Agitha is from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and uses a parasol to fight. Lana is an original character for the series and is a witch who wields a book of magic in battle and can create barriers in order to brush away enemies. Once the barrier is broken, it deals Lana damage. Another aspect revealed was certain strengthening items can be used to bring the moon from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask as an attack. Additionally, it’s been revealed that Link’s Hook Shot will also be an available weapon. Expect more information as Hyrule Warriors releases in August in Japan, while both Europe and North America have to wait until September. local_offer famitsu hyrule warriors Nintendo wii u stars Further Reading Legendary Pokemon coming to Pokemon Go The cost of Nintendo consoles in today's dollars Wii U gets firmware update Watch the Smash 4 EVO Finals on Disney XD Take a peek at this week’s Nintendo Dow 9 things you probably didn't know about Super Mario Bros. Michael Hancock are awesome Squid So Agatha is playable? :/ abe Yep, she’s not the first parasol user in the warrior series they tend to be rather fun Squid I don’t have a problem with Parasol users I’m just wondering what made them think agatha. Either way, I hope we get Ghirahim and Ralph from oracle of seasons/ages. abe She’s apparently rather popular in Cosplay circles Jack I really hope Skull Kid is playable. Even if he isn’t though I’ll be picking this up. 🙂 LevenThumps I didn’t really expect Agatha to be a playable character. If she’s in the game, I expect a lot of franchise favorites to be in as well. Ben English Yeah that one is way out of left field. With the game so heavily skewed towards Twilight Princess so far I hope they gave consideration to other titles. Jared Lytle I knew about lana already (except the name) she is on the cover of the hyrule warriors boxart. Logan Wayman I’d want to see Ganondorf as a playable character since they teased it in the E3 trailer. Ducked Wii U Daily has finally updated the games section Arthur Jarret I offered to help with it, but they never got back to me outside the first email (where they requested me to outline my plan of action to update it with accurate info) Ducked That’s strange. They should have taken you up on that offer. Michael Hancock I want to see Error as a playable character. Michael Hancock I am Error. Michael Hancock l am Error. Einscengi If Agitha is in, then I expect to see Tingle as well. Tingle, Tingle, Kooloo-Limpah! Alexander Kleinwechter lana looks incredibly cute :3 Pablo Lavín Lana = Shia Ixbran no Dark Link It seems they are focusing on Twilight Princess characters. Could this be a hint from Nintendo that they are giving us a sequel to Twilight Princess? I mean, Zant isn’t dead after all… Michael James Kennedy Midna is gone. Sorry. That’s why they made Hilda and why Midna is in Hyrule Warriors. Dark Link Hilda is from A Link Between Worlds which is a whole different game entirely. Not sure how this is suppose to prove that there will not be a sequel to Twilight Princess… Ben English Hm? Zant died at the end of Twilight Princess. Dark Link No if you remember towards the very end, he snapped Ganon’s neck. I mean, they didn’t exactly cement in what happened. My guess would be that Zant had power left and betrayed Ganon. Ben English Zant snapped his own neck, and this somehow killed Ganondorf in the process. Zant betrayed Ganondorf for sure, but from more of a ‘hell’s heart I stab at thee’ sort of thing. Dark Link It didn’t look like he snapped his own neck to kill himself(he barely moved it in which it wasn’t enough force to kill himself, not mention you can’t snap your own neck). I agree, we disagree Rosa55 So excited for Agitha and Midna–now how about Ashei? Ben English So 5 out of six playable characters revealed so far are female. Good on Nintendo.
