This year at E3, 505 Games showed off their new zombie apocalypse survival game, aptly named How To Survive. Today the company confirmed the title would be coming to Wii U without the online multiplayer that will feature on other consoles. This is the second game to announce no online multiplayer for the Wii U version, with Batman: Arkham Origins the first to omit that feature for Wii U players. How To Survive is slated for release this fall. Yeah, it is not good, but at least it’s better than nothing. RoyRelapse I call it wasting your development time, and expecting it will sell worse because “Nintendo people only buy Nintendo games”. Anyway, no buy for me Clel Typical. SonicLucario Whyyyyyy, Just like Sniper Elite V2 they are taking parts of the game out. Did 505 Games not learn from there last mistake?…. Archiq09 They think maybe the Wii U has no online? SonicLucario Then they should help build it, not destroy it Ducked Not really, we aren’t missing out on much. Nintendo needs to work more on Nintendo Network. But there #1 goal for 2013 is software. Hopefully there improve it in 2014 SuperNardful Not 2014. 2013. Imagine this. The Wii U came out in 2012. None of their exclusives will have online until 2014. So we have to wait almost two years to have the full experience with Nintendo’s network. That’s from Holiday 2012 – Spring 2014. Not good. There are Nintendo exclusives that have multiplayer that should/should’ve had online play. Nintendo Land, NSMBU, ZombiU, and Super Mario 3D World. The first three didn’t have any online play, and it’s confirmed that fourth one listed will not. If Nintendo doesn’t have online on their own games that actually have good multiplayer, then third party developers won’t put online multiplayer for the Wii U versions of their games. Ducked Why would you play online on NSMBU? However Nintendo LAnd and Super Mario World 3D could use it. But I’m talking about Nintendo Network it’s self. It’s free, but it needs a lot of work on. oontz Nintendo land should have online multiplayer… half the game is unplayable for me. Ducked Yeah that’s true.. SuperNardful NSMBU is better playing with others. It’s also more fun. But again, not everybody has someone to play with locally. Ducked It be too hard for NSMBU to have online. I know the game is way better with more people, but putting you in different servers, and trying to keep 3-4 people would get annoying. The Clockwork Being What but I heard that Sniper Elite V2 was the definitive version how can 505 games lie to us. Jokes a side they will complain about sells. But to be honest the mistakes are made by them. CaesarGood that is because y’all do not truly support wii u and if u cared u would let it be known… jay Kinda true bitching on here won’t reach them. We need to get ahold of them and give them a piece of mind. Let them know DIRECTLY through their Twitter/Facebook/email etc. that we think they’re lazy, disrespectful and their brand is losing interest and respect from the fans. CaesarGood I know right, I have done it a few times here and there. I do not see why people don’t think to do that more. There are always no more than 2500 maybe 3000 online in COD Black Ops 2, smh. The craziest thing though, is how does a system that came out a year ago, not get NBA2K but had it during launch and was pretty good. That is just unheard of and beyond ridiculous. Schultz38 “Let it be known” Umm…..is that not what everyone is doing? o_0 Felix even posted 505’s email addresses… Madmagican *sigh* they just don’t learn do they? Petri Well, 505 Games can have minus my money. I recently bought Sniper Elite V2 for 20€ new, totally worth it. So I shall wait until this title is atleast 60% off on eShop. Rioto sniper v2..batman..now this…what the hell man Nintedward Nintendo should put their foot down and not allow gimped content on their platform. All it will do is damage the credibility of such games and potential buyers on the platform. Schultz38 Exactly. All I foresee happening with this game is that people are going to choose the better alternatives, then when the sales are bad for the Wii U, Nintendo will get more negative publicity. As huge of a Nintendo fan as I am, IF I decide to pick this up it’ll be for my PS3 or PC now. Nintenjoe82 Never mind, the same people who complain the most about the cut features will always buy the cheapest version anyway and the Wii U version will never be cheapest…… Does seem stupid to omit a feature but then again Nintendo don’t have a subscription fee to pay for all the servers needed. I think Nintendo are as much to blame as the publishers in these cases because they shouldn’t want sub par ports on their newest console and don’t seem to have addressed the issue with online. Maybe they spent their whole budget getting CoD!. Jon then I will not be buying it. it is a shame that devs do this. Stephen Davis OMG. How many times is this gonna happen?? Why is it we ALWAYS somehow get the short end of the stick?… Felix so… i would buy it if we receive the same as other platforms. no online? no game. good luck with your development costs. AAAkabob Yep looks like another rental, cheap publishers can get bent Ace J *sigh* another half-assed game… Mario I sense a new petition coming. Yen So basically what will happen is, not many people will buy this game at least not the Wii U version because it’s basically not the whole game. It won’t sell as well on the Wii U. They’ll claim that Wii U sales are too low for them to continue developing games for Wii U. People complain Wii U have no games and blame Nintendo entirely even though the publishers are just as at fault for putting out incomplete games. ConCity Soldier Yeah it’s like a catch 22. Archiq09 It’s maybe intentionally? -_- Baum 「ツリー」 If that’d be true and could be proven Nintendo should go out and sue them HEAVILY…Those lazy dicks shouldn’t even be allowed to do Wii U ports since it’s already the second HORRIBLE game of ’em Guest Sueing someone cost alot of money and in the end wouldn’t be worth it. All Nintendo would probably do is not allow there games on to Nintendo consoles(which is a loss of potential money no matter which way you look at it) and go and find a better stuidio to bring there games to Nintendo consoles. Andreas Sunde That’s not impossible, they did the same with Sniper V2. oontz Yeah 505 Games INTENTIONALLY doesn’t want to LOSE money. jay Beat me to it! Also devs will release sequels or part 3’s without the originals and claim they’re not selling well either (Ahem! Mass Effect 3). Isn’t it a little funny that XBOne and ps4 charge for online play while Nintendo’s online is free. I think these lazy developers have no interest in free online. They most likely get a cut from online fees/advertisement. Archiq09 I think they make money with online fee. Michael DeVore I suspect it’s that MS, and Sony are actually running the servers. I’m unaware if Nintendo even has a hosting service like Sony and MS at this point in time. They’re usually unnecessary and a result of people moving towards always online DRM. There was a point in time where FPS multiplayer were hosted on one of the players machines locally. The entire “we’re running servers for you” was just to combat piracy and used games. oontz “Isn’t it a little funny that XBOne and ps4 charge for online play while Nintendo’s online is free.” You’re comparing full fledged online experiences (servers, bandwidth, free games, etc) to basically a non existent Nintendo online platform? There is a reason people are willing to pay for something and an even BIGGER reason Nintendo’s online is FREE. The Clockwork Being Some how you are right. Seems publishers just dont know what marketing is anymore. jeffp3456 Nintendo could have led the way with online multiplayer in NSMBU but chose not to, I don’t blame publishers for not following N’s lead. ItzameyaToad What a sorry ass excuse, not putting multiplayer in a traditionally local Multiplayer game makes devs not keen on putting Multiplayer in another port that would take them barely any effort to do so. Consider this PS3 launched with alot of games that Sony didn’t include online at all, Resistance Fall of Man,Heavenly Sword etc. and yet no one ever said “Well Sony’s main titles dont have multiplayer so why should we put it in on the PS3 version of our game” and if anyone did they where a very small group of people.Studios are just being Biased towards Nintendo by jipping us of easyly implemented features. Derk That is actually not true anymore…..Even their exclusive single player God of War game has a multiplayer mode online (capture the flag and team favor of the gods) and that game never needed a multiplayer to be successful… In comparison, Nintendo’s single player exclusive Mario games should have online but they don’t. ItzameyaToad Didn’t say NOW I said when the PS3 first LAUNCHED, read the comment completely please. And yeah multiplayer would be a nice add-on but multiplayer is not needed especially since a majority of Nintendo’s fanbase is more in to single player games. Sure 2d sidescrolling Mario games would be nice if they had online but it really isn’t needed. jeffp3456 consider this, 2 of my friends (one in another state) bought ps3’s so we could play LBP online right from its release date! consider this, in the US a lot of us don’t live close enough to run over to each others houses at night to play, esp. if we have children. Online play like LBP, includes the (slightly) older demographic which afaik is a good share of the gaming market. Nintendo turned their back on a large part of the gaming market when they decided not to include online play.. a market of people happy to buy a console so they can have fun with friends who have moved away. ItzameyaToad Nintendo has always been about local multiplayer and not sure why people expect them to do online on every single game. And them not doing it on there exclusives is a sorry ass excuse for devs to use as a reason to not push online support on there games period end of story. I agree though that Nintendo should start pushing more online multiplayer in some of there games, but I still believe they should stick more to there roots as a local multiplayer focused company and ocassionally focus on adding online. In the end it is not up to Nintendo to make people put multiplayer in there games. jeffp3456 Studios are biased towards their executive bonuses. They are putting their money where they expect to be rewarded. Their only bias is profit, they don’t care how. ItzameyaToad How can you ever expect profit/reward if you choose not to put out a full game on a console full of fans that expect full quality games? jeffp3456 Unfortunately, the answer to your question is a truth that you are unwilling to accept. ItzameyaToad Im willing to accept truth if people can give a good reason to not bring a full version of a game to Wii U or any Nintendo console.Heres how it goes, if you want to profit alot from bringing your game to Wii U or any Nintendo console you bring the full version. If publishers wish to bring incomplete games to Wii U they should accept that they will not make as much profit off of it as if they brought the full version to Wii U. Studios are biased towards Nintendo end of story. jeffp3456 I will try to explain another way. I am not trying to be snotty or rude I just want you to understand that Studios are not people, they do not have emotions or likes or dislikes, well they only like cash. Before they decide to do a project they do a cost benefit analysis and determine the return on investment. The projects that equal or exceed their internal goals are green lighted and the ones that don’t are not. In this case a studio has done that analysis and decided that there is not enough profit in implementing the online play for the wiiU, it is completely cold hearted. Do I own a wiiU – yes, am i pleased that several large studios don’t see piles of cash in the wiiU – no, is Nintendo being stubborn and provincial – yes, and they are really not helping the situation. But it is what it is and I have no choice but to accept it. On the bright side, i am looking forward to Deus Ex directors cut on the wiiU ! oontz Online Servers cost MONEY to BUILD, RUN and MAINTAIN. A company is not going to invest MONEY if they wont see a return on that investment. ItzameyaToad Ok? So why is the Wii U singled out? Oh because the userbase isn’t as big and all that Jazz that devs through around as reasons to jip paying customers. It would be understandable if they said “ok so while we aren’t giving Wii U owners online we are implementing OFFLINE Co-op” that IMO is a good trade off especially for a game such as this one. Basically what it boils down to is these practices the game Devs are conducting with the Wii U is something that would be frowned upon in many industrys. Imagine going to a resteraunt and you order the same thing as the person in front of you but the owner decides to give you less and them more. And the reason they give you is because you look like you won’t eat as much and in the past when they have done what they just did you didn’t eat alot. You would be livid! The same thing is happening with Nintendo consoles and 3rd parties. They are treating us as the customer who pays the same but gets less! oontz “Studios are just being Biased towards Nintendo by jipping us of easyly implemented features.” Paying for, Building and maintaining an online server infrastructure is “an easily implemented feature”?!?! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA you obviously don’t have the SLIGHTEST clue about how online gaming works. Yen NSMB didn’t have online multiplayer to begin with so it’s kind of weird to compare it like that. This is about them taking a huge chunk of a game out of a port. I’m don’t hold anything against them for taking out multiplayer, I’m sure they have their reasons. What I am saying is, they’ll blame Nintendo for it not selling well even though they are to blame as well for trying to pass only half of a game as a port. blindtiger youre right about nintendos poor support of online multiplayer… but that shouldnt affect 3rd parties who already developed the multiplayer Derk I think he typed it wrong because that is a double negative.. He probably meant to say, “I don’t blame publishers for FOLLOWING Nintendo’s lead” SuperNardful Nintendo Land and NSMBU would have been so much better with online play. I’m even hoping that NSMBU gets an update for that. It’s also a shame that Super Mario 3D World is not getting online play. If Nintendo is just going to make their games seem like offline games, then third party developers will think the Wii U is an offline system, which we can’t really blame them for. Therefore, they won’t give the Wii U versions of their games online play. oontz exactly it’s 2013, people enjoy playing games online. There is no excuse for any of nintendo’s local multiplayer games to not also provide the SAME multiplayer online. This is either A: Nintendo NOT wanting to invest and manage the servers or B: Nintendo doesn’t actually know how to make their games work online PROPERLY. I’m going to say it’s “B” Derk You are missing one detail that makes this Nintendo’s fault….. Nintendo refuses to add online multiplayer to their own games… Almost all of Nintendo’s games neglect the idea of online play. My question is why should developers carry Nintendo into the future? These developers could just say, “You can’t help someone who won’t help themselves”. After all, it costs money to keep a server running. Nintendo fans don’t expect Nintendo to make games online anymore, so developers don’t make games online anymore. I always see people on this website saying things like, “Playing with real friends is better than playing alone online, so we don’t need online games” and my personal favorite, “Extra features like online play, don’t make a game automatically better.” Well Nintendo fans, now you get what you asked for. Yen If third party developers are only willing to do as much as Nintendo does, then what’s the point of having them? Let’s say I own a company, and my employees are only willing to do as much as I do, then why would I hire them? I would want people who can not only support my ideals but also bring their own. To be fair, Nintendo does have online multiplayer games, just not as much. Fact is most Nintendo IPs don’t really work with online multiplayer. People want NSMB to have online multiplayer, but would it really be fun trying to complete a 5 minute level with someone miles away? Same with Zelda and Metroid, it just doesn’t make much sense having Link fight other Links or Samus fighting other Samus. For games that it does make sense on they do have online multiplayer. New Mario Karts and Smash Bros. Brawl had them and people enjoyed them. Pokemon had online for half a decade now. Derk Exactly… Companies should only be expected to do as much as Nintendo does for themselves. Secondly, you can’t fire your employees (3rd party companies like EA) or else Nintendo will become the next Dreamcast and fail just because they don’t have top sellers like Call of Duty and FIFA. Nintendo is at the mercy of companies like EA. Right now, you are defending Nintendo for doing bad…. Which is exactly why developers don’t care to give you any features. You seem pretty content on games like the one on the article so why should I make online multiplayer for you? Companies SUPPLY what the consumers DEMAND. Yen I think you misunderstood me, I was saying third parties should be expected to do MORE than just what Nintendo does for themselves. If third parties don’t bring anything new to the console, why bother having third party games? I’m not defending Nintendo for doing bad, I’m defending them because people seem to believe third parties aren’t to blame. Why can’t they both be to blame? Nintendo didn’t do well promoting this new system. Third party didn’t help when they hold back and only put out half assed ports. I’m not saying Nintendo has the greatest online multi games, but another way to look at it is, third party won’t make multis for Nintendo anyway, why put in the time and money to develop it? Nintendo is a developer as well, they’re in this to make money. It goes both ways. Derk There was no misunderstanding…. Ask any boss of any company… Bosses are required to do more work than the employees because it is their life on the line (not the employee who loses everything bc they have other consoles/jobs to fall back on)… Have you ever seen Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen Nightmares? Its not the employees fault but the owners fault for letting those disasters happen. oontz They aren’t both to blame because its called the NINTENDO WiiU not the 505 GAMES Wiiu. Yen So if I hit you with a bat that says “oontz’s bat” on it, it’s your fault and not mine right? Just because they didn’t make the system doesn’t mean they can’t develop games to make it successful. For years people complain that Nintendo doesn’t have enough third party games. All I see are third party developers that won’t take a risk. If you make a port that only has half of a game, of course you’re not going to sell as well. If it is the exact same game with the same capabilities and the Wii U version tanks? That’s Nintendo’s fault completely. oontz So a 3rd party game company should make a risky financial investment into building and maintaining an online infrastructure when the actual console manufacturer (nintendo) they are releasing the game on isn’t even willing to take the same risk? Please don’t ever try to run a company with that train of thought, cause you’ll surely fail. Yen Well aren’t you the know it all assuming that Nintendo isn’t willing to take the same risk? Nintendo already took a risk selling this system to begin with. Which yea it’s not really doing too well. Online wise who says Nintendo doesn’t have games with online capabilities coming? You don’t know. I don’t even care if this game has online multiplayer or not. I’m just saying third parties need to stop blaming Nintendo for their shitty games not selling well. If you make a bad game it’s not going to do well no matter what system it’s on. Please don’t ever give others advice with that attitude like you know everything in the world. oontz It’s not an assumption… is Nintendo land online? how about NSMBU? or maybe Pikmin 3 surely that’d be good to have online… oh not that one either. Hmmmmm so how is it an assumption? I made my statement based on fact, not assumption. Also no one said Nintendo doesn’t have online games COMING. The fact is they don’t have or support a major online gaming community now. “I don’t even care if this game has online multiplayer or not” This is where you are part of the problem, you can’t make statements such as that, then get angry or upset when a company doesn’t make online components for the wiiu versions of their games. Get over your self. I never said nor claimed to know everything in the world. I DO KNOW… if you tried to run a company with that attitude you’d fail. Basic business 101. Yen Nintendoland and Pikmin 3 I will give you that one, I do want online multiplayer in that. NSMBU I don’t think it would work that well. Just because a system doesn’t currently have it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist is what I’m getting at. It doesn’t mean third parties couldn’t do it. Nintendo has built a major online community on the Wii U currently. Miiverse is actually much bigger than I had expected it to be. Not saying that Miiverse is the best thing ever but it is an online community. I’m not upset that this game isn’t getting an online component, I’m saying companies can’t blame Nintendo when they take out a huge chunk of the game if the game doesn’t sell as well. I’m not just plain complaining about something that I don’t care about. You’re the one that needs to get over yourself, your opinions are not facts. oontz You need to do some research into online gaming servers and the resources it takes to build and maintain them. Yen Actually I have. Compared to what REALLY happens with building online servers and maintaining them, we’re BOTH talking nonsense. greengecko007 Mario Kart online was broken since day one with hackers. Super Smash Bros. Brawl online was broken since day one because of constant lag. Pokemon has had online functionality for several years, but from 2007-2011 you had to buy the Wii game Pokemon Battle Revolution for online player versus player. It wasn’t until Black and White came out that player versus player was included in the game. “but would it really be fun trying to complete a 5 minute level with someone miles away?” The thousands of players that still play Little Big Planet every day years after it came out say “yes”. oontz “Mario Kart online was broken since day one with hackers. Super Smash Bros. Brawl online was broken since day one because of constant lag.” Whose fault is that? NINTENDO’s FAULT! If Nintendo doesn’t want to invest the resources into providing an amazing online experience for it’s gamers then why are people surprised that 3rd party developers do the same. greengecko007 Calm down, and reread my comment. Everything I said points to the fact that Nintendo failed to create a fun online experience last gen. Even though Miiverse is a good network (far from perfect), Nintendo is still being reluctant and stubborn to add online multiplayer to their games. Not to mention the fact that there are so many Nintendo fanboys who claim they don’t even need online multiplayer. As someone else already put it, “they got exactly what they asked for”. And you’re right too. How can you expect 3rd party developers to make online functionality for the Wii U when Nintendo won’t even do it for their own console? oontz Sorry I was actually agreeing with you… I think Nintendo has really dropped the ball with online gaming. Which is horrible for one of video games giants. greengecko007 Games like Mario Kart 8 and the new Super Smash Bros. coming out in 2014 will at least give Nintendo a chance to redeem themselves as far as online integration goes. I’m hoping that online for these games are very well done. It’d be a shame if Nintendo went through all the trouble of making Miiverse just to have it be used as a social network for the Wii U, which ironically, is what many people here don’t like about the PS4 or Xbox One. DragonSilths Metroid can easily have an online myltiplayer. Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS. GREAT FUN. WiiUltra Nobody knows why Nintendo doesn’t add multiplayer to all of their games, but I would guess that they believe some games are not meant for online multiplayer. But that certainly doesn’t influence other companies on their decisions. The install base does. Plus, the reason for 3rd parties is that they bring something DIFFERENT to their system, not something more or less. Not one person/company is at fault. It’s a circle which means everyone is to blame. Wii u has low install base-> Developers don’t want to waste resources for adding online multiplayer-> Consumers blame Nintendo-> Game doesn’t sell well for lack of content/support-> People buy it for other systems-> Developers not happy with Wii U copy sales-> Find somehow to blame Nintendo again-> You get the point. kevin nun—- I don’t even know why Nintendo lets this happen. Antar Rodríguez at first i thought that nintendo and developers were at fault making that wii u low selling circle but then i thought that this circle was much more complex, we “the costumers” are there too and we are at fault too, i know nintendo has to do the heavy marketing that lacked at launch, but we should help in our own way, not just defending the console as some of us do in this site, but rather recommending it too Dj Yeah, pretty much 🙁 oontz So if you’re the president of the 3rd party developer… you’ll just throw money away on building and maintaining online servers?? If there isn’t a return on investment then you don’t make that investment. It’s not rocket science and it’s definitely not some crazy conspiracy against the wiiu. Just basic business. ConCity Soldier Fellow Nintendo fans aren’t complaining enough on twitter to these developers. You make a change by complaining in large packs. Look what happened to the Xbox One and it’s DRM getting reversed. Graeme Lynch I am with you on that! As consumers we need to make our voice heard! e_rocket Maybe they are making the games with no online multiplayer for the Wii U, because nintendo won’t charge us for playing on line, that means some people could stop playing online on other platforms if they had the option to play on the Wii U with out paying. I guess that could mean less money for everyone, even when it would be convenient for the consumer. thedeciderU that’s a really good point Bob Wilkerson It’s like these game companies do not want their games to sell well on the Wii U platform. Sure they will keep using the excuses about install base and how they believe Wii U players do not play online but that is because games are being released in gimped versions without these capabilities and often forgotten about when it comes to future support such as DLC. Derk I am just curious but how much overtime and money do you think it would require for them to port a bug free game from 360 or PS3 to the Wii U gamepad (assuming it was developed originally for PS3)??? If your company was already doing bad financially, would you take the extra resources and gamble on a system like the Wii U?? My guess is no, especially when you see the poor sales everyday on the news. You might as well go to a casino and ride everything on black, right? Nintendo made their system, “special”, so they have to deal with the developing consequences. Its not the developers fault for refusing to gamble their money away. Either there would be a huge delay in the game’s release due to bugs, or some features could be shaved down a little bit with the same launch date. Nintendo should be stepping up and helping these developers like Sony has done. tronic307 No, cause wii don’t even care about 3rd party multiplats. They don’t ever crack 100k, then they get all butthurt when nobody buys their ‘gimports’. Nintendo fans only like Japanese arcadish/cartoony/anime games. Spare us all this Western drivel! Bob Wilkerson There is nothing “Special” about including online play on a system that is capable of online play. This is a new title with no previous title to refer to so they are taking a risk of making a Zombie game in an already flooded market of Zombie games. With anything there are risks but if they constantly gimp the games on purpose they will never know if the game would have actually been a success. So I believe they are taking a BIGGER risk by gimping the game in the first place because they are risking sales of the game overall. It should be pretty evident by now that every time a game is announced with gimped features it upsets the gaming community to the point where many may just ignore this title together on any platform because it reflects the commitment of the developer. Elem187 Wow, bad move 505, this is your second game on Wii U where you shaft Nintendo owners….. poor taste, in poor taste. i guess i’ll skip your other project too. good job, idiots. Jon lol, I went to their website, the Wii U is not even a platform and sniper Elite doesn’t even show up for the Wii U. Andreas Sunde I tried going to their website, but I can’t, because they built it in Flash. I really can’t be mad at such naivety. Nintedward Either do the full job or don’t do it all. WE DON’T WANT HALF ASSED LAZY PORTS! IS that so damn hard to understand? Take your game and shove it up your ass along with sniper elite V1.5 Splinter cell blacklist = a port done right. Same graphics , same features , same release date , Gamepad features , off tv play. Don’t see why that is too much to ask. It’s like these devs are deliberately being disrespectful and ignorant. And also , if you’re going to have the audacity to launch a port a year late (like sniper elite v2) at least make the thing either better in every way or like Half price. Full price AND gimped…. I’d rather be shot in the foot than buy that… Baum 「ツリー」 /this and nothing else … jrob23 Splinter Cell NOT a port done right. It is missing local co-op. It’s close though Untrentide With the Wii U only supporting one gamepad i can understand why it wouldnt support local co-op. They already had to write a lot of code to support the gamepad and they would need more for different control schemes for different users. Andreas Sunde Not really. The game supports off-tv play, so they just have to use the control shceme used with that, put one player on the TV with a Pro controller, and one person on the gamepad. But hopefully it will be patched soon. Untrentide Yea, i did not know about that. Maybe the mindset is that they don’t want one player having an advantage of setup over another or it is because they developers got lazy. Unfortunately we can only speculate until we are actually told why it wasn’t included. I do agree though, hopefully it will be patched in later. david jarman That’s not a simple patch. You need codes written to have the system render the game twice. jrob23 every incomplete port has some excuse why it’s incomplete. Don’t be an apologist for this game. It is missing a pretty important piece of the game experience. You will NOT be able to play with family/buddy period. How is that excusable? Code had to be written to include online for Arkham Origins. It didn’t get done. Are you okay with that too? I am baffled why people are defending devs laziness. You could still have local co op play with this game and not have to have an additional gamepad. Untrentide Personally with splinter cell i find its a game better played single player. I would rather have the gamepad over co-op playing. Once again personal opinion. Online for Arkham is a server issues and they don’t wish to pay to maintain servers for Wii U since they believe are the sales to be low. Programming takes a lot of work. Not only do they need to program for three different system but for different peripherals on each system. It is true though that a lot games ported onto Wii U do sabotage themselves with major flaws. Best we can do is let the developers know we are disappointed and support the games that do deliver so that they know that if they do delivered a finished that we will buy it. If you read earlier posts, Capcom delayed monster hunter 3 Ultimate because fans wrote to the developers requests off-TV and cross region support. If you can let your wants be known to developers and you get enough of a backing (Without being aggressive or forceful) then usually they will try to include it. They are making games so you will buy it after all. jrob23 I am speaking with my wallet. I will not buy a single game full price unless it’s complete. If someday I see it in the bargain bin I will get it. There are so many great games coming to the Wii U that will keep me busy until then. I also never played many of the best Wii games. I will also not be an early purchaser of Rayman Legends due to the loss of exclusivity and the delay to go multi platform. I don’t care if third party devs stop sending crap ports to the Wii U. Maybe then they will learn. Of course, they will say their games don’t sell well as if they aren’t mostly responsible for that. I don’t care. The way I see it, each generation provides 15-20 top notch games and maybe another 10-20 pretty good titles for each system. The Wii U will give me that with 1st party alone. I will be fine. jay NINTENDO NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TELL THEM “Do a Good Job or Get The Fuck Off My Console!” The Clockwork Being Plus the lack of local co-op makes sense since it isn’t the same studio that made the Wii U version.(PS3, X360 and PC all made by Ubisoft Toronto while Wii U is Ubisoft Shangai) Plus it can be patched later. So Splinter Cell is a instant buy from me. Baum 「ツリー」 Well to be honest…it Looks bad anyway, so I don’t care about the game, but those damn devs shouldn’t be that arrogant…Nobody knows about them or their games (most likely because they’re either niche or bad games) and they think, they’re in the Position to restrict People?? JBeauregard Devs always forget the opinions of consumers. Then they bitch about money, etc. I’m with you, the devs are being stupid! Jon I actually hope Nintendo drops the ball on them and tells them to release a completed game or not release it at all. I’d much rather this game not released than released half done. andrewjcole If Disney Infinity can have 4 player online co-op, this should be able to have some sort of online multi-player. TheLazyMudkip Developer’s are just being assholes to nintendo JBeauregard I was initially excited, but this video makes me not want to get it. The game looks like a mobile game. They just showed 4 minutes of BORING. Edawg lmao. oh god, this is sad. please let the wii u sales be amazing this holiday so publishers can stop with this bullshit. Schultz38 Why can’t developers wait until the Christmas season is over before they start making cuts like this? It’s like these companies don’t want to give the Wii U a chance. They’re setting it up for failure….and when it gets virtually no sales, they’re gonna blame it on the Wii U’s “lack of sales”. Ughhh. John Aguilera I would really like a new Lost in Blue title Felix just send an email like: “no wii u online on how to survive? no purchase. good luck.” to: Europe: email@example.com USA: firstname.lastname@example.org Felix if thats all we can do to make them hear us.. lets do it.. dont ? JBeauregard I just sent an e-mail to them. I don’t expect it to do anything, but it is important for them to know that Wii U console owners demand the same gaming experience as others. Not only that, but letting them know Wii U owners enjoy online gaming just as much as any other console owner. Graeme Lynch Yey I have done so too. Also Nintendo needs to do something about this bizarre trend of missing multiplayer option and perhaps games that are missing completely (Scribblenauts EU thanks!) JBeauregard That’s true, too; Nintendo does need to know. They want ‘core’ gamers, but a lot of core gamers want multiplayer! Jon I sent an e-mail to them, plus one to Nintendo telling Nintendo to stop allowing developers to pull this crap. Andreas Sunde To be fair, Scribblenauts EU is supposedly missing because they are being sued by the trademark holders of Nyan Cat and Keyboard Cat. JBeauregard Done! lol Graeme Lynch Did you guys get an email saying that it was undelivered because Admin rejected it? RoyRelapse LOL Edit: just received the same e-mail, poor 505 is damage controlling Andreas Sunde So they make gimped ports, they built their website entirely in Flash, and they don’t accept emails? How are these guys in the publishing buisness? RoyRelapse Done, sent em to both. Nintendofreak hmmm wiiu users dont p!ay online…. wait maybe just maybe we would play online if we could fucking do it in the first place… just saying Graeme Lynch As much as this worrying trend from developers is irritating me. I have to say that unless its something like Monster Hunter the online community for games is severely lacking. BIG Franky agree…. i think when SSB and MK8 are released, the online gaming community for nintendo wii-u will explode and we wont be seeing this happen as much. Nintendofreak yeah like ac3 multiplayer sucks, we need good multiplayer experiences to play them and the game looks like one of those pc flash games just with fancy 3d graphics DVE Meh game looks like a overhead ZombiU xD Carlos Andres Uribe i live in Colombia…. i know How to survive…. Ryan Williamson Is it just me or does it seem like companies are black balling Nintendo? Jon it’s really only two companies that have done this, these guys have already done this on their previous sniper elite game. leafsfan73 Maybe they figure Nintendo doesn’t bother putting online multiplayer for their games so why should they? (why isn’t the excellent Bingo multiplayer on Pikmin 3 online?). Also, not sure here, but on 360 and ps3, who provides the servers for their online? Maybe NIntendo doesn’t help on that end and these companies make a business decision it won’t justify the cost to set up the servers for how many copies they think they’ll sell on the Wii U. Jeffery02 So why does the Wii U always miss out on the online multiplayer? This, Arkham Origins, and I have yet to successfully connect online in Injustice. I don’t get it. audi lover Fine not bothered by online multiplayer but for people who are its gona put them off buying this game or even stop them buying a wii u altogether needs to be sorted out because its just a far to negative attitude from these developers for a console at the start of it life Ducked Guys, 505 makes the cheapest crappiest games LopsidedPasta I am SICK of this crap. If the game is horribly gimped, I WON”T BUY IT. How can third party publishers blame Nintendo fans for “only buying first party games” when they release this crap? Geez thedeciderU went to 505 games site. browsed their product listing for all consoles, all companies. have they made ANYTHING good? spaniel I don’t see a problem with Nintendo’s version having no multiplayer. It’s not that I don’t have friends, I just prefer to play single player games. This looks super cool, love the perspective they are using. Definitely going to get this one! Mochlum I’ve never even heard of this… Donaald Same old same old Donaald Is there something they’re not telling us, like if the Wii U’s online infrastructure is faulty or too difficult to use? Jake So lets get this straight devs. You see potential in wii u and hope that your game sells well or decent. First, wii u is at a disadvantage cause what do u think is a better for a game, 2 console with 150 million units sold, to 4 million. Devs, if you want at least a million or 500,000, at least put all features in. Look at Rayman, it is the only 3rd party game that is número uno on wii u. Even if wii u has 4 million it will sell better than every other game and maybe better than xb/ps3. Did EA expect games to sell. Now here is why wii u does not have amazing support. We got 3 okay exclusives. Look at PS4, Knack killzone, infamous, which is much better than Nintendo’s, same goes for ms. And worse, therw were delays. if they put Rayman, Lego city, monster hunter and 1 more 1st party game, and tried to get a new 3rd party game, it would have been awesome. It would have sold way more than 5.5 million. Ps4 will cause they did it. It’s isn’t just nintendo, but imagine a launch with nsmbu, Rayman, zombiu, ac3, Lego, monster hunter and 2 other great games. Than batman, this games and no other games will miss features cause wii u’s install base would be there and EA would be here, and other companies. Now sega, platinum games, nintendo, and Ubisoft are the only devs to support wii u. Mark The Fall lineup looks very promising, so I have no doubt that Nintendo will be a worthy opponent against it’s competitors. RoyRelapse Okay, you certainly know how to find your shift and caps-lock button, which shows that you’re somewhat of an intelligent life form. Anyway, to the point; Can you tell me or show me how “the Wii U online is a complete joke” ? ItzameyaToad Just flag his comment he is a moron who says the same thing over and over. RoyRelapse Na-ah, I want to hear more of his ideology. ItzameyaToad Just look at his old comments haha he is a broken record RoyRelapse Yeah he’s a tard, like a real big one. ItzameyaToad Hahaha yep Antar Rodríguez ok , as much as i hate the wii u been trated like crap and not even getting all features of really good games, i gotta see this as a developers pont of view, wii u isnt selling too well and thats the reason to have a low online player base, so what i think devs do is to cut down costs of maintaining online servers or even developing the online part of the game so they can still have some profit, i guess this move is right speaking only as bussines but it does affect wii u sales as well springer85 EXACTLY!!!!!!Developers make games to make MONEY!!!!!! Releasing a game on a fan base of over 160 million would EASILY SELL MORE than on a console with just 3.6 million!!! Cracks me up how Ninty slurps are blaming devs when it is all Nintendo’s fault!!!! Antar Rodríguez although we agree in the developers point and that that it has been nintendos fault, i dont think wii u is crap as you do and have stated, i believe nintendo will turn things around since they have done it before david jarman I’m glad you brought money up! If the developers think they are going to make money by half assing it then they’re fucking wrong. Which is better? Developing for a console with a low base, but giving full support and gaining a fan base that could grow if the game doesn’t suck, or half-assing a game and only 10 people buy it and you end up losing money for developing it to begin with. Even if the sales were awesome on the other two consoles it is still a lose cause they could have also had a profit with the wii u crowd. As for your name. I think you need to change it from 85 to 2005 cause that’s the real age your acting. People say Nintendo is for kids then you should fit right in cause you act more childish then my 9 yr old cousin. Seriously man, grow up! What REAL adult spends their time attacking websites especially one for video games? Yerba_Sutra I disagree with that perspective. Not the facts; the perspective. Read this article: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/198250/is_wii_us_eshop_right_for_your_.php Indie devs have the right idea. Honestly, they seem to have better heads on their shoulders than the bigger companies. They aren’t entirely about the money – they’re doing what devs USED to do, which is make games out of their own desire to do something really cool. I’ve seen arguments like “If Nintendo’s not going to have online multiplayer, why would third parties implement it?” Well… it shouldn’t be about that. Why is it about that now? What happened to devs who did crazy shit just because they thought it’d be cool, regardless of whether or not anyone else was doing it? This is something that’s been pissing me off about gaming lately – it’s all politics and business. Devs are all trying to be ridiculous business-wise (methods EA has popularized over the past decade or so), basically gaining a choke hold over the industry, and gamers all try to be armchair analysts. STOP IT. These are the kinds of perspectives that have led AAA companies to shovel $20M in a game that only makes a fraction of that cost back in sales. It is going to cripple the gaming industry if it’s allowed to fester like this. As much as I REALLY REALLY WANT strong third party support on the Wii U, I will be fine with having a first party/indie console if these bigger devs keep their crap up. Having said that: I understand why certain games have left out multiplayer – mostly relating to coding for the Wii U’s unique features (e.g. the Gamepad) while trying to release the game at the same time for Nintendo’s console as Sony’s and Microsoft’s – and if this is case for How to Survive, I won’t complain. But if it’s this same old excuse game I keep seeing…. I will be a very disappointed consumer. I’ll wait for more information to be released, then respond accordingly. RoyRelapse Please, tell me again how the Xbox 360 and Ps3 had a 160 million base in 9 months. springer85 LMFAO!!!!!!!!!Can you READ? Developers will NOT release good games for the Wii U with such a small fan base you tool!! The PS3 and Xbox have a total life time sales of over 160 million so kinda OBVIOUS that developers would make better games for the largest fan bases!! NO ONE is buying the Wii U as it is a steaming pile of turd!!! If Nintendo did not release it a year early and actually released it with great first party AAA games then they would have sold millions more and gave more 3rd party a reason to make games for it!!! RoyRelapse And the Wii on itself had a 100 million base, so your arguement is invalid sir, have a good one. springer85 LMFAO yeah and of its top 20 SELLING GAMES……17 WERE FROM NINTENDO!!!! RoyRelapse Yep, that shows nothing more than how good Nintendo games are compared to third party titles, got anything else to say ? david jarman I guess I’ll just survive…alone! springer85 The Wii U is dead and has been since day one!!!! The mistakes Iwata has made is what has cost the Wii U this generation!! The price, epic fail games, lame 32gb,no blu ray, zero marketing and delay after delay is a joke!!! When the next gen arrive the Wii U will be the Dustcollecter U!!! RoyRelapse Cool story bro. NkoSekirei ur kind will be dead shortly after were done with troll hunting Guest While I find it dissapointing that it won’t have multiplayer on the Wii U version I will still probably buy the game simply because it looks good and it looks like Multiplayer wont work that well anyways unless it is local Co-op. Anyways single player IMO is the most important part of 95% of games and as much as I hate not having Multiplayer I think I can give them a pass on this game. And who knows maybe they will discount it for a little bit on the Eshop. ezquimacore anyway…this game looks boring, imagine without online multiplayer. blindtiger and thats another game i will not buy… good job 505 Federico Madden I really hate this “no online on Wii U” circlejerk. Less games that have online means a smaller online community, which means companies will take out the online because there is a small online community. springer85 The Fact is the Wii U has sold pathetic and is WHY Ubisoft did a u turn with rayman legends after they saw the lame sales and decided to make it multi platform to make even more money!! They like everyone else thought the Wii U would fly of the shelves but it never did as people today STILL think that it is just an add on for the Wii!!! NkoSekirei ur the only pathetic loser here troll Ross Brocklesby Are 3rd party secs out to stop wiiu so it doesn’t get to big. Seems they scared of the big N. after all wii sales shat all over ps3 and Xbox at one point. springer85 LOL Maybe that had something to do with the fact the Wii was $300 cheaper and came with a free game!!! You could buy a wii and 12 games for the price of just a PS3!! Ross Brocklesby Devs* Tonertime7 No online support – my money= That company going broke. I ain’t buying this crap. springer85 The top 20 selling Wii games 17 WERE FROM NINTENDO!!!! So I ask you Nintendo…..WHY THE HELL did you give 3rd party launch rights after they messed up the 3ds launch!!!? Iwata…………….needs firing!!!! Yen Because people like you complain that Nintendo never has third party games. So they tried starting off with third party games and people still bitch at it. Point is people will never be satisfied no matter what they do. Pikachief This, Batman, Sonic, NSMBU, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3 Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropic Freeze, etc. You’d think these games would have online, maybe online co-op in some form but they don’t. This game and Batman may be an exclusion of features but isn’t Nintendo doing the same by not having online in their own multiplayer games? springer85 EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yet Ninty lovers are blaming 3rd party even tho Nintendo are DOING THE SAME WITH THEIR OWN GAMES!!! Yen For once I agree with you even though your grammar was weird, Nintendo does have very WIN games. Yen Nintendoland and Pikmin 3 I agree with. There should’ve been online for the multiplayer games. But it’s still different to not have a multiplayer option compared to having one and then taking it out for one of the consoles. Although if they sell it at lower prices without multi, I’d be okay with it. Mark I would like to see at least online co-op. Although I do enjoy playing with a buddy next to me the most, I can’t do that everyday. Pedro Natera This game looks shitty, I wasn’t gonna buy it anyways but it sucks that there are people out there that would buy the game and the game has no online. Why do these developers treat us the consumers as shit Eduardo It doesn’t look very good anyway. springer85 For Nintendo to use the ‘ we forgot how long it would take to make a HD game’ when HD was twice what Wii games were is a complete and utter joke!!! Yen I’d like to see you try it. david jarman First of all they never said, “forgot” They under estimated the time it would take and they like to make sure the games of quality and fun. Which is funny cause they are not the only ones who have ever had games delay. The Xbox 360 and ps3 have had their share and no one knows if all the games being developed for ps4 and Xbox one will be ready for launch. As of wii u’s name. How smart do you have to be to figure out that the “U” might suggest its something different, because if you already have a wii and you see that other system has a “U” at the end of it, You’d think this would make someone want know why it has a “u” and when they look it up and realize its a whole new system… Ta da! enlightenment! The name didnt fail(even though its not the best), its people’s intelligence. 10114jose They probably left online multiplayer out because they don’t expect to sell well at all. At least they made a port. springer85 SNES launched with Super Mario World and F-Zero…EPIC N64 Launched with Mario 64……EPIC Wii launched with Free copy of Wii Sports and Twilight Princess…..Pure Epic Wii U launched with Nintendo land and a rehash of Mario Bros Wii but with just HD…….disgrace!!!!! david jarman Xbox 360 launched with red ring of death and no games worth buying for year- Epic Ps3 had a shortage and cost 2 wii u’s at launch had only one good game and a complete drought for a year cause it was too hard to develope for at first-Epic! Cod rehashes, halo rehashes! Killzone rehashes, metal gear rehashes, any fucking zombie game other the zombiu that did something new rehashes, god of war rehashes, ps3 and Xbox 360 have more hd remakes cause debs run out of ideas rehashes!!! All great games, but they are all rehashes just like nsmbu which is great game too! The wii u has so much potential that devs could do amazing games on it that could not be done any other console if they actually tried. As of right now xbox one and ps4 have no install base yet devs are making fresh new games for them. Wii’s install base was fucking huge. Why wasn’t the support there for the wii u when it came out. Instead devs and publishers put half ass ports on it. All this bullshit started from day one and it had nothing to do with install base or the wii u’s power which was proven to be very good Steven_Segal BREAKING NEWS! HOW TO SURVIVE won’t come with online multiplayer in the Wii U version but this feature will be available in the XBOX 360, PS3, PS4, XBOX One, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast and an down-scaled version for the Commodore 64. ”We won’t put online multiplayer on the WIi U because we want to have a second excuse in order to never make a Wii U game” Hattroll Bitchian – CEO of 505 Games. Christopher Acuna Why do these people think Nintendo Gamers don’t like to play online with other Nintendo gamers Eric Degrechie This is pissing me off. The Wii U isn’t going to sell if games keep omitting the multiplayer just because the user base is still small. I think the best bet is to give the Wii U versions the full package and more people will be likely to consider buying the Wii U, thus more copies of the games will be sold. Third parties bitching about how the Wii U doesn’t have a larger user base are only making things worse. If you’re going to give the Wii U the stripped-down version, why even bother? Sqarticus Call me crazy, but I think it actually hurt nintendo to be the first next gen console on the market. I say this because I believe the PS4 and xbone will suffer similar fates; have a great launch, then flatline. It’s just that these 3rd party developers are too thick to realize this, so they assume it’s just going to be nintendo with sluggish sales and a small user base. What nintendo should have done is wait a year to release the wii u with must have titles like Pikmin 3 and Super MArio 3d world at launch so that these 3rd parties can see it’s the economy affecting sales for more than just nintendo. supanovaX game looks boring anyway MetroidZero What are they going to do next? Release a racing game, port it to Wii U, and leave out the tires? NkoSekirei ignore this retard TaintedXGamer …………. no online again? honestly DO they want their games to sell or not?! I thought the whole point was that since WII U is up-to-date there would be no Features/DLC butchery, but alas, the bloody Butchery continues >_>. They have no Excuses! Wii U has Miiverse for F*** sake. tronic307 And minus a customer, give or take a million. tronic307 How To Survive? Release the full bloody game! Forbsz I would of bought this for my wii u as well if it had online multiplayer……. sd Nintendo could always enforce a policy that states all Wii U games must offer the same features as those available on other platforms. The only issue would be if it would stop people releasing games on the system. Untrentide I think developers should make a deal with customers where if a game reachs X amount of sales then they will patch in additional features such as online play. That way IF the game doesn’t sell they get to save money and we get to see that it is truly the lack of fan base. And if the games do sell well, then they will add in the features we do crave soo much. Laquandra Washpon Kickin zombi a* is wat I gots zombiiU for. My boy Fenske love dat game! D-Man Here’s what I think the Wii U needs to do in order to be successful: -Market the Wii U correctly. What I mean is, tell the public what it is and WHY you should buy it instead of the Xbox 360/One and Playstation 3/4 -Release first party games quickly, and add online support for games like Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze so it adds replayability. -Get third party support so it can have all of the latest and coolest games, WITH ALL the features -Differentiate it from the Wii EXTENSIVELY! oontz Wow, is it any surprise? Online servers (physical and bandwidth) don’t pay for themselves. Nintendo fanboys are THE worst. You’re getting angry at a company because they don’t want to lose money. Is the wiiu supposed to be considered a charity and all the 3rd party devs should just donate money to the wiiu?? Companies are in the market to make a return on investment. If they will lose money by building and managing online servers for wiiu… why would they do it? Yen I’m going to correct you on one thing, ALL fanboys suck. Period. Yes servers cost money, but they’ll already have to develop it for the PS and XBox version. It takes time and resources to take out chunks of a game too you know? Unless the Wii U’s networking components really suck that bad, which I’m not saying it doesn’t, it would not take that much effort to recreate for the Wii U port. oontz Yes all fanboys suck but like I said Nintendo fanboys are the worst. It still costs extra money to build and maintain a WIIU server for the wiiu game. What don’t you understand? It’s not like they just add online multiplayer to the game itself and BOOM it works. They need to build the servers, run the servers and maintain the servers… those things cost money. If the company wont see a return on that investment they wont make that investment… bottom line. Yen Resource wise, the same people that run and maintain the server for the PS and XBox versions can easily do it for the Wii U version. Building it is the real thing where you might have a point. If the Wii U’s networking really sucks, yes you’re right, it’s not worth it. But if it isn’t, then it would not take that much effort to just build it along side the ones for the other two versions. oontz Companies don’t think in terms of effort… only money and return on investment. Not sure you understand what goes into making online games work. It’s not as easy as you seem to think. Yen I do understand what goes into making online games work. I know it’s not easy. We’re not talking about how easy it is to make the online multiplayer, we’re talking about building it for three different systems. Depending on how the systems are build, it might just be that the Wii U’s network capabilities are too different so they didn’t bother developing it. I’m not saying that can’t be the case. But you seem to think that there is no way they could have done it. You seem to be under the impression that they would lose millions of dollars to make the Wii U version online. I don’t think it is had they try to build the three system’s online multiplayer along side each other. oontz You really are daft. “But you seem to think that there is no way they could have done it. You seem to be under the impression that they would lose millions of dollars to make the Wii U version online.” Any loss from $1000 to $1,000,000 is a LOSS! Companies don’t tend take risks if the risk will surely result in a loss. Let’s say 505 Games builds a network server room to host and run an online version of the wiiu game. They spend $20,000 to $100,000 to do this. Then no one plays the online component or worse no one buys the wiiu game. That means they see a 0 return on their initial investment. No profit, no return, nothing. That is a LOSS and would result in someone being fired because they didn’t research the market trends towards Nintendo’s online infrastructure. what don’t you understand? Yen You’re the one not understanding. They ALREADY have the server room to host everything where else would they host the PS and XBox servers? Since the Wii U has such a small install base, unless there is a HUGE difference in architecture, they can easily allocate a small chunk of the server to run the Wii U server. That means the only investment is in building the server which if the Wii U has a good enough networking it would be the same investment included in developing the other two versions. oontz “it would be the same investment included in developing the other two versions.” Except they’ll see a return on their investment with the other two versions and not the wiiu one. Yen Well see, that’s your opinion. How do you know the Wii U version wouldn’t make a return? You don’t. Yes it is a big risk with the Wii U’s install base being so low right now, but who says this game won’t stimulate Wii U sales? Big risk can mean big reward. The only fact here is, they didn’t take it. oontz uneducated risks never results in a big rewards. 505 games would’ve had a department research the current wiiu market and demographic trends. Then they would have made their decision. david jarman That’s not true. Nobody knows if this game is going to sell well, period! Certainly not going to sell well for the wii u version because of this whole fiasco. Did the research and development team not see that. I hope you know that not a lot of online games for consoles use dedicated servers. Call of duty is a great example. You don’t get to chose which lobby you want to be in. Someone host it on their console. I can’t imagine a top down view game would require much to host it. Plus, here something else to consider. Why is ubisoft and activision able to have multiplayer. Blackops 2 community is growing more and more. It takes money to make money. Business 101. It’s a bigger lost to do something half ass then to do something right to begin with. You say nintendo fans are the worst for wanting the best for their console. I think any fan that goes to another console site to crap on them is not only the worst type of fanboy, but just a horrible person all together. Not saying particularly you, but anyone who does that in general. Old McGroin Might have been worth getting but without online multiplayer they can count me out. Mykdee wow that footage was horrible! anyway i’m not really sure how they are implementing multiplayer, and if i’d miss it at all. thats no excuse for just dropping it though. i’m starting to think Nintendo really dropped the ball on offering devs the tools and info they need to make their games and implement things like multiplayer. i mean nintendo is just figuring it out…regardless the devs are just being lazy, end of story. Connor Devlin Why no multiplayer! That’s just giving drony’s more reasons to make fun of the Wii U!
