Have a listen to Xenoblade Chronicles X’s battle theme

Ask any fan of JRPGs what their favorite part of the genre is and you’ll probably hear battle music as one of the replies. Battle music has long been a way to hype up players for something epic and the battle theme from Xenoblade Chronicles X is no different in that aspect, though it’s not the typical music you’d expect to hear in the genre. It’s full of heavy metal guitar riffs and what sounds like A Linkin Park cover band delivering lyrics.

Lyrics are probably the most controversial addition to the game, since battle music is heard frequently and often it’s usually only music. Give it a listen and then let us know what you think about the heavy metal rapping-theme in the comments. I’ve found that most people who give it a listen either love it or hate it, there doesn’t seem to be an inbetween with this one.
