One of the best parts of getting a new game as a kid was ripping into the packaging in order to read the manual on the way home. Now days the manual is little more than a black and white printed slip that has controls and a bunch of warnings on it. The good news is that Nintendo remembers the glory days of full-color manuals and backstories for their games, as the upcoming GBA Wii U virtual console releases will have all of their paper manuals included with the digital release. Very nice touch – GBA games on Wii U Virtual Console come with the entire original paper manuals included. pic.twitter.com/GcPJVTOPq3 — Chris Scullion (@scully1888) March 31, 2014 At least with the manuals included it actually feels like a full game purchase, even if you can’t hold it in your hand. What do you think of this inclusion? local_offer gameboy advance GBA Nintendo wii u Wii U virtual console stars Further Reading Nintendo doesn't need 3rd parties, says Stardock CEO Earthlock backers will get Switch version if it ever happens Zelda: Breath of the Wild Deluxe guide for $48 on Amazon Nintendo shares up 20% since Switch launch What's your dumbest death in Breath of the Wild? Me liking! Ultrasyd They heard me ! That’s what I asked for 😀 Thx Kristian Kouvo I asked it too. :] MerryBlind . Good. Now I’d like a smoothing filter I can turn On/Off in any VC game and Wii Mode, just like my PS3 has. thank you. Donaald Same here a trilinear filter or super eagle for GBA games would be epic MerryBlind . Do you know what they used on PS3? I just remember it being pretty effective while not blurring too much. Pretty sure it wasn’t just a bilinear filter since bilinear filtering blurs 2D games way too much. Donaald I think it’s FSAA MerryBlind . No it isn’t. It’s definitely something applying to the whole screen. Something along the lines of a bilinear filter. It’s probably just that. ActivesiN that’s pretty cool to have the manual on the gamepad A SNES Day Off Good. Now do the same for existing NES/SNES games. David Trail NICE Adrian Will there be Pokémon games?????????????????????????????????????????????????? TrueWiiMaster Awesome. I wish they’d do this on all of their VC games.
