Are you an experienced gamer? Love Nintendo (among other consoles) and looking for an awesome resume builder? Bomb shell: we’re looking for contributors to write Wii U news, rumors, tips, tricks, and reviews! Interested? Please read EVERY DETAIL of this post before submitting an application – attention to detail is crucially important.

Who/what we’re looking for:

  • Part-Time Writers/Editors
  • Overall tech knowledge with thorough and specific understanding of gaming consoles and current happenings, especially regarding Nintendo
  • Experience: anyone can apply, but those with proven writing/blogging experience preferred
  • Location: Anywhere!
  • Age: No age requirement, but must be 18+ to be considered for future positions that include pay.

  • Ability to identify newsworthy and noteworthy items that qualify for Wii U Daily coverage
  • Ability to pump out quality, accurate articles at lightning speeds
  • Ability to write in-depth articles and game reviews with an informative and entertaining style
  • Ability/comfort in creating video reviews of games, accessories, devices, etc.. a definite plus
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while multi-tasking effectively

What you’ll get:

  • Great resume builder as Contributing Author for a web property owned by Neverstill Media
  • Opportunity for growth: most qualified and successful candidates could land themselves a part-time or full-time job in the future. We like to promote internally.
  • Huge audience with which to share your ideas, opinions, and passion
  • Experience working on an online publication for a successful media network
  • Potential inside access to games, accessories, events, and more!
  • Note: this is a contributor position and is unpaid. While it may lead to a paid position this is by no means a guarantee.

We’re looking for a go-getter who wants to go above and beyond the expectations. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to help Wii U Daily become the greatest website on the planet (it isn’t already?).

How to apply:

  • Send an E-Mail to rob[at]neverstill[dot]com
  • Copy and paste “WiiUDaily Writing Position” in the subject line… without the quotes
  • Tell us your name, age, location and a little bit about yourself
  • Tell us your work history and why you are perfect for the job
  • Tell us how much time each week you can dedicate to WiiUDaily
  • Copy/Paste/Link us (no attachments) to 1-3 related writing samples in the WiiUDaily style (minus the typos)
  • Convince us that you’re the “go-getter” we’re seeking!
  • Please TAKE YOUR TIME in submitting your application– we’re looking for quality of applicants, not how quickly you can show your interest/urgency

We’re anticipating a large quantity of feedback and simply cannot respond to every applicant we get. We want to thank everyone in advance for their interest and we’ll follow up with potential candidates in the near future.

  • Tobbe

30y of gaming experience but sadly i suck at English

  • Gamecube U

This is awesome, but I most likely wont be picked:(

    • revolution5268

      same here, but oh well.

  • Nintedward

    *licks hand and combs fringe*

    • Nintedward

I’m just joking lol. I am not going to apply for this , although I do have an A-level in English Language!

If there is a job going as a moderator for this site , I’ll take it! because who ever is currently moderating is smoking some powerfull stuff.
You type a comment and it doesn’t show up till the next day lol.

      • Gamecube U

I was a moderator on a site and they removed me because I wouldn’t ban a guy.(Who wasn’t really doing anything wrong)

      • LolWatTurtles

That’s funny cause I type a comment and it’s on there not long after on the same day. You must have special comments.

      • Rob

No worries… we’ll soon be updating to DISQUS commenting which will approve posts immediately!

        • Nintedward

Oh really ? That’s awesome! Disqus is cool. But it does encourage competitive voat hoarding :P.

I don’t know if it’s your moderators or the system your using. But sometime an article will be stuck with 10 comments all with 45 votes a piece. The all of a sudden , BAM!!!! 120 comments with 0 votes all posted at different times show up :P.

Disqus all the way though, that should help this site to grow!

          • Bicentennial_Pidgeon

I just saw one article on here where EVERY SINGLE POST was +0 -1.

          • DarkYoshi

Oh damnit, you did see that?
I was just bored on my iPad…
            *Feeling guilty*

          • gNat

If this comment shows up i think i was banned…

  • Brunomaster15

My english is not ready 🙁

  • Naterman

    Awwwww yeeeeeaaaaahhh

  • I have a Wii U

    im the winner

  • Ronny Lee 19881

topics* sorry I was in a hurry.

  • HyperSonicN1

This is just like trying to post a picture in wikipedia, first you’re infinitely happy you could help then a giant list of requirements kills your motivation little by little.

Anyways I don’t think I would be of major help as English isn’t my mother language and I’m not 18+

  • DatOneGuy

I applied! I’m not too interested in money, I would just like something to do in my spare time 😛

  • Knux03

Im in…. I speak and write a fluent English and also Spanish 😀

  • loko

io sono perfetto per questo 😀

  • dude.

Quick question about this part, Copy/Paste/Link us (no attachments) to 1-3 related writing samples in the WiiUDaily style (minus the typos). Does this mean articles from this site, or ones that I have written myself?

    • Rob

Ones that you have written yourself. If you haven’t, just let us know, and write up a sample article on something you would consider covering for current Wii U news.

      • Ravyu

Must it be a Nintendo related article. I have written a review, but its not a Nintendo game

  • MasterRD

I’ll apply, but I’m probably to young to write for the site…wish I could, but I’ll probably be ruled out due to age…

    • Nintendonoob

I know how that feels brubba

      Screw age restriction

  • Hm..

I’ll apply. It could be a good experience for me, and maybe I’ll get to review some game(which I would like to do).

  • Nintendude

Would apply, but sadly, I’m not 18 years or older.

    • Superstick

You don’t need to be.. Rob said the age doesn’t matter. I’m 14 and I’m applying!!

  • Master of Awesomeness

I am great at english (I think, because I get great essay marks), but am unsure about time. Next year I will have a lot of homework, so thats one problem. BUT. Every time someone has attacked nintendo, I have been willing to stand up for nintendo. I have never, ever, bagged nintendo. I have never owned a non-nintendo console, and never will. I am dedicated to nintendo! I surely could be able to contribute to reviews, but is the reviewing going to cost me. So does that mean I have to buy a game just to review it? So to Wii U daily, please answer any questions I have.

  • Thepokemonmaster

I’d LOVE to help but I’m not too good at finding news :c

    • nintendofreak

me neiter……but more dan 15 nintendo exp

  • CheckItNow12

So basically 10 year olds can apply since there is no age requirement…

    • Rob

Sure, if you’re 10 years old and got the skills of Doogie Howser, why wouldn’t we want you? Or if one of President Obama’s children wanted to write for Wii U Daily, do you think we would pass that opportunity up? There is much more to take into account than age… we get plenty of applicants from people 25+ who can’t compose a single sentence without grammatical errors or typos.

  • SuperSonic128

To bad I suck at Typeing 🙁

  • TheDavyStar

*Cracks knuckles* Time to get physical…

  • Nintendo is da best

I’d love to apply but sadly I’ve got school and basketball that keep me far away from my computer (But they don’t keep me from my wii u! :D)

  • Madmagican

    Oooo advertising… sadly I’m only 15

  • Case

I would love to do it, but I am only 14. I have school and sports (and my wii u :).

    • Superstick

Cool! I’m the same age! LOL. (14)

  • HawkEye

Sounds good maybe someone can write reviews for games the wii u has.

  • kyuubikid213

I would SOO want to write for Wii U Daily, but sadly, I can’t. I’m not much of a writer and I don’t think I could make a decent article for the site. I can’t wait to see who gets the job though! Good luck!

  • Lusunup

    Im ready any time.

  • [Fallen] DEATH

I’d do it, only thing is I don’t have a computer too use everyday. I use my smartphone and it gets annoying, sometimes the browser just force closes on me. I am 17 so just a little bit off from 18. Another thing is I don’t get many games and stuff like that because we don’t get much money, so I don’t think I’d be able too do this.

  • Captinn1

I want to help Wii U Daily! I’m WAY off from 18 though…. I’M 11! Anyhow, I’m a very experienced gamer. I grew up playing N64,NES,SNES, and Gamecube! Then I got Wii U…. and I wanna help you out! It’s the least I can do for you…after all, you gave mii ALL the news i needed to know about Wii U! Thanks to you I was able to get my hand on a Black Wii U!

I can help by updating the Games section! And I will work for FREE XD! I don’t mind. So I really hope you pick mii, Wii U Daily!

    • Nintendonoob

      *forever alone*

      • Captinn2

         OH YEAH!

      • DarkYoshi

Oooh dude, you are NOT alone.

        HIGH FIVE!

        • Captinn2

  • Captinn1

WHoops! I had to email???? LOL

  • AnesthesiaGamer

I will definitely apply. I’ve been a hardcore gamer since I first played Mario. Also a Nintendo fan. (The playstation was my first non-Nintendo console). I refused to get Sega consoles on principle alone, lol.

Of course I’ve grown up and matured and gonna be a Doctor soon, (and have gone multi-system) but I’m still a die hard gamer!

    • Nintendonoob

Lol… The next Doctor Mario XD

  • ssb43dsFC 3007 8585 6950

cant. Im usually on my Ipad. Annoying to type withe the thing, even with the keyboard.

  • Kevin White

This would be a wonderful fit for me. I was an English major for two years, I’m extremely technically oriented, I love video games and Nintendo (my first “Nintendo console” was actually my Colecovision which came with Donkey Kong), and I used to write extensively for two different blogs.

Unfortunately my 70 hr/week job precludes it. Argh!

    I think I give this a shot.

  • Ryu No Hadouken

    Round 1, FIGHT!

    My application is best application.

  • CanesterJr

I would but like everyone else said my English is not there yet. Also my grammar to because I’m black.:P

  • Steve

I’m a pretty decent writer. During my sophomore year, I was the only high school student, in my school, who managed to make a perfect score at the state writing exam. I am also extremely tech savvy and up to date on almost anything regarding technology, including gaming. I even know how to write computer programs and applications, and a bit of web design/development, which I learned as a hobby beginning when I was 13.

But I will pass on this one. I’m about to graduate from High School and collegeis just around the corner. I’m not certain how much time and effort I will be able to exert into this, if I do apply.

    • Steve

But online, when writing comments, unless its some kind of formal discussions or argument, I tend not pay much attention to how I write. I mean, I’m in an informal community anyways. Everyone here uses slang and online acronyms/vocabulary. So I tend to do the same to save time.

Just in case anyone was wondering.

  • Pokemonlp10

Im a REALLY fast typer (76 wpm), and I have a huge vocabulary. However, I’m only 11, so I obviously won’t be accepted.

  • Pokemonlp10

Sorry that my post didn’t have an avatar, I typed in the wrong email.

  • Pokemonlp10

Would I be accepted if I was only 11, but I type faster then all my teachers and my principal? Also, if I barely made grammar errors and had a vast vocabulary? I’m just asking, (my wpm is 76, but sometimes its 80-90.) cause I’m nervous to apply.

    • Letheo

Check your grammar in this sentence. Then is generally used as an adverb, while than is used with comparative words. **I type faster than all of my teachers and principal.

    • Ravyu

I don’t think wpm is really important.. Unless you type 1 wpm or something like that LOL

  • Starfoxguy

Hey I fit the bill. lol

  • Youtube/KoolAidMan735

Feel free to put my youtube videos on this site whenever you need to. Although I don’t have a Wii U yet I will in the future. If there’s a “retro” gaming section I would gladly upload some classic games from nintendo for the time being 🙂

  • Youtube/KoolAidMan735

I’m almost 18 is that good enough? (To get paid?) lol.

  • Revolution5268

is it mii or the comment sections is different?

    • MujuraNoKamen

I don’t like it, it should have stayed as the old section rather than switching to Disqus.

      • but now we are notified when we get replies

      • tsuki

I can no longer see anything but comments on my phone.

        • Revolution5268

(i though i was the only one!?!??!?)
          same here…what going on????

  • XxStoicmonkeyxX

Honestly i wish i could do something like this, but personally i don’t think i am blogging material. I’ve never had that kind of “spark” to write articles about something.

  • Master

  • Hey, Disqus comments! I love these!

  • Yannis Mi

so you want us to apply for a job, work for you, but you are not paying?! hahha thats great! i have an idea come clean my bathroom it will look good on your CV!

  • disqus_VhKgr3TIxs

i’m sorry if this question was already answered somewhere, but when is the last day to apply??

  • I been gaming since the NES.  I know more about gaming then most people.  But no pay!!?!?  I’m in college and I really need money if I’m work.

  • Linskarmo

If I had time for this, I would absolutely love to. I hope some very thoughtful and great people apply for these positions!

  • Ravyu

LOL @ the kids who think 80 wpm = fit for the job

  • tsuki

Well I applied, wish me luck.

  • Graham Gillman

I applied but haven’t got a response. It’s been almost 3 weeks now, whats up?

    • tsuki

I think the emails went out yesterday, I could be wrong.
