    Pandoras Tower or Prime Trilogy

Really on the fence with this. I'm currently playing xenoblade and The Last Story at the moment. I'm enjoying Xeno but LS hasn't grabbed me yet. Maybe it will got better for me. My GS has it for $19.99 New. If Use my last coupon it'll knock off an additional $10.

Trying not to waste money or my last coupon for an underwhelming experience like Im having so far with LS.

I missed prime trilogy and I hear its great. GS has it for $49. Not sure uf I want to blow that much today though.

So Im asking for member feedback. Anyone play both? Im about to put on my shoes and head out, let me know people!

Since you're already buried in jrpg's (and probably even if you weren't), I've got to say the Prime games. I've got some issues with the second one, but the first is probably my favorite game ever. All three are worth buying.

The second one seemed to be a little amiss for me but I can't really describe it other than saying it didn't really have the same feel to it

and Prime 3 is as good (if not better) in comparison to the first of the trilogy

I found it too difficult. Others have disagreed with me on that, so maybe you would as well. I get pretty frustrated when difficulty ramps up to the point you have do things like a lot of times, or it's just not clear what you should be doing, even after a long session. The third one is very solid. I found some of the cut scenes that advance the story to be almost unbearably cheesy, but the game itself is top notch, and the motion controls are integrated pretty well.

i know i wasn't asked but i'll chime in anyway. prime 2 is easily the worst of the three, even though it's still awesome. but it lacks the daunting atmosphere and freedom to explore whatever the hell you want vibe of the first prime. but it does have cool weapons. and the bosses will kick your ass many times. which despite what ancient gamer says, that's a good thing

Pandora tower, well, I can say only one thing: boss battle are epic (even I just beat 2 of them) but need time to control

I have MPtrilogy (steel case!) I finished MP1! I just wanted to have Corruption then I saw the trilogy and "cool"!

mudfoot, have you had a chance to screw around on any of the primes? i'm playing through metroid prime 1 and really like the wii controls more than the gamecube controls... and i was a huge fan of the gamecube controller.

edit: i'm going to have a quick smoke and keep playing

Lol. I was so sure I was going feel guilty when walked out, but I didn't Now I just have to see if there's a way I can alter my budget so I can capitalize on the SM3DW Target sale

You go boy, get your Prime on!
Nah, I haven't touched any of todays's purchases. I probably won't get to Prime or Pandora for a while. Right now since I have to send in my Wii U AGAIN, I'm switching between Tomb Raider DE on my PS4 & Last Story on my Wii. Im hoping by time my U gets back, I'll have one of those two beat. When my U comes back, I'll resume Xenoblade(save file is on my Wii U) and finish off whichever one of those games I didn't finish. Then I'll switch to working on my Wii U backlog.

Pretty much saving MP & PT for a lull/dry spell. So yeah, It'll be a minute.

I'll make sure to remember to report back to this post with my thoughts, when I finally get to check em' out!!

Want to thank you guys again for all the input

for fps, I think the wii mote is superior than ordinary controls, actually, metroid and pikmin are games that we can actually say that the wii mote is not a gimmeck but something that improve the gameplay.

This conversation has come and gone, but for what it's worth I think the Metroid Prime Trilogy is the best set of video games of all time.

So, I finally got a chance to pop it in. I wanted to give it a scond chance. I played Prime when it first came out, but don't remember specifics- it was so long ago. The only memory that stuck with me, was I wasn't fond of it. As I feared, it wasn't holdng my attention, and I found myself shutting it off fairly quickly into my session. I'm going to try the second &,final installment in the series, since I never played those. I'm hoping those will be more appealing and save the series for me . Maybe my old memories of not enjoying Prime, didn't allow me the patience to see through it's build up. We'll see how it pans out for me. I love Metriod, so I'm really hoping this can turn around into an enjoyable experience for me.

What is this Orange Box you speak of?

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is a great one. It has a bit more action and less difficult puzzle solving, which can be a good or bad thing depending in your preference

    The Orange Box.

    ...as in Valve's Orange Box. It includes Portal, HL2, HL2 ep.1, HL2 ep.2, and TF2

At the time of its release it was a massive success and people STILL buy it today

I mean just the games themselves, I don't care much for collectors items most of the time.

Ok, now I see why people are loving this series. I revisited Prime AGAIN today to take a break from Karting. As intended, I was going to re-try the series, but this time start with Echoes too see if it would interest more than Prime. Fortunetly the completionist in me wouldn't allow me to skip the 1st title, since i never completed it and start on the 2nd. Unexpectedly it grabbed me. Maybe it was because I was alone in a quiet house. It was just me, Prime, and my cat Mongo.

In hindsight, I belive my distaste for Prime initially was it being third person, as opposed to the side scroller I grew to love. I was in college at the time it came out- so school work, partying(I'm sure the reason I didn't recall playing it prior), and an unexpected format stunted my interest. This last time I played, I was so excited to try it, I shoehorned it, between my sons nap, while looking over my shoulder anticipating him to wake up. Not to mention the realization I actually did play it, and the memories that followed were negative.

So yeah, I'm happy to say, I'm glad I went back to it. I'm really enjoying it, and I'm hooked. Even though the motion controls can be taxing, with all the pointing to look around. I usually clock an hour before I have to give my arms a rest. This revelation has brought a question to mind, which I plan to start a topic on soon. For now, I'm out! Everyone's asleep for the night, except me. It's Prime time =D

Metroid Prime because you get 3 games. Plus, I felt Pandora's Tower was a bit underwhelming.
