    Sale My Wii U

I want to sale my Wii U and purchase a Switch. I have a question. Can I delete my account info from the Wii U without deleting the downloaded games?

I have a total of 27 games on that system and most are downloaded retro games. I think it will bring alot more money that way.
    Thanks

From what I can tell, the games are tied to your NNID, which is tied to the console. It's probably the most restrictive way of handling digital downloads possible. You're going to have to leave your NNID tied to the console in order to sell the games with it. Maybe you can figure out how to remove your credit card info from your NNID and just give up that NNID when you sell.

I think it might be possible for the buyer to create a new profile on the Wii U and link your old NNID to it, though. Not totally sure.

It was the Nintendo way last gen. But at least now, they're tying purchases to your account, rather than the crappy way they did it with the Wii U.

I don't believe so, for either the 3DS or Wii U.

Speaking of the 3DS...I hope Nintendo will develop an emulator so we can play some of the fantastic DS/3DS titles available. No clue when they'll do this though.

No, it's not, unfortunately. But it should be better from here on out. At the very least, you'll be able to transfer your account and games to a new Switch without having to call customer support. Somehow I doubt if they ever get VC that those games will carry over to a new gen, though. Who knows?

Ouch. I have several hundred VC and eshop games. What I’d like to do is join my WiiU and 3DS library, so I could play something like the Minish Cap on a bigger screen.

You're better off to just get it on your RetroPie.

Hey man I'm just being honest! I'm pretty sure most people agree that their digital systems have been pretty terrible. Switch is a decent step in the right direction though.

But I mean most people would agree their digital stuff isn't great. Even most or the fanboys admit it's bad but just make up excuses for why it's bad lol

These days? You mean the old days with the Wii and Wii U? Nintendo has been improving in almost every way since the Wii U and you just refuse to admit it. It's really, really confusing.

I don't mind giving up my I.D. on Wii U as long as I can untie personal information so that I can make more money selling the console. I don't think that network I.D. is important for me to keep on a Switch. Thoughts?

As long as you can remove all personal information from it, do it.
