Anyone play Resident Evil Revelations co-op?

There is (or will be) a Wii U eShop discount on Resident Evil Revelations for like $16 bucks and I'm gonna GIT IT. I loved RE4 and have heard this one is sort of similar in the way that it feels (somewhat scarce ammo, not too action heavy, more mysterious and creepy, etc.)

But one main reason I want it is to play online co-op and I'd love to know if any of you have this game and would be interested in doing some online shoot-em-up action with me sometime????? WELL????

EDIT: It's not the main campaign co-op, but a survival mode type thing where you have to clear certain areas and such. "Co-op beast slaying" is the official name I think...

If you've never played this one and loved RE 4 you're in for a treat. Although since it was originally on handheld you can kind of feel that "yea this was on a hand held" once you start playing it (all the areas feel small once on a console). I never played Co-op because I hate co-op in RE but that's just me, but Raid mode is a blast. If you have a 3ds I say get it for that because it looks gorgeous on handheld and porty with the "HD" port. I played the 3DS version first, then tried the Wii U version so the console port didn't add anything for me, but if you don't have a 3ds, then get the Wii U Version, because it's still super fun.

@Roy da Robot - Yes.....I swear it does. Yes. It does. I checked. Not the main campaign but a separate survival type mode.

The co-op is fun. A little limited, but still a blast to play.

Just seems like it would be a nice addition to the campaign.

So, would you recommend the game? I'm not too interested in it, because I've already beaten the game on the 3DS... but I have a younger brother who likes RE and has not played Revelations yet (he hates handhelds).
Are the controls good in the Wii U version?

I'm definitely down to play some co-op! I downloaded it yesterday and it's real tempting to fire it up but I'm in the middle of Bayonetta!

The controls aren't bad at all. They take a little getting used to, but once you do, it's fairly slick. I would definitely recommend the game. It's too short, and the boss battle at the end is needlessly difficult, but otherwise it's a really solid title. I'm playing through it again in spurts between my other current games...

I've been playing a bit of it myself. It IS a great RESIDENT EVIL title. Incidentally, I've also been playing CODE VERONICA X. Hell, I'd say the GC REs and REVELATIONS are the best.
I play both first and third party games on Nintendo systems. But I also own a PS3 as well.

Code Veronica is very good, although I never finished that one. Zero is totally underrated. The most suspenseful RE, imo.

I like them all equally, but for my money, RE2, REMake, RE4, and REVELATIONS all tie for first place, while 3, ZERO and CVX are second but still really good.

I'm not a big fan of 3. The whole Nemesis thing really grated on my nerves. Veronica, while cool, is definitely second tier. I don't know what I'd put atop the RE pantheon. RE2 has some great elements, but also some stuff that drives me nuts. Hmmm. It's a good question...

I have a 500 GB Toshiba hard drive. It has to be powered via the Wii U's USB drives, which means I also got a USB Y-adapter (the Wii U can't power it with just one USB port). Apparently this isn't the recommended way to do it but it's served me well so far and everything only cost me about $60.

I dunno. I got incredibly lucky. When I was looking for an external drive, Amazon had an absolutely righteous sale on a 2TB Seagate that (obviously) has a power cord. It's worked perfectly for me.

If you guys wanna do this today, I'll jump on it instead of starting Bayonetta 2. Is the multiplayer available from the start or does it have to be unlocked?

That's the one I have. I need a y-cable, which is still being shipped to me. I tried using it without the y-cable, it works, but then it stops to work. Said my files were corrupted. I needed to start some of my saves all over again.

I haven't downloaded it yet, my external hard drive will arrive tomorrow. And i'm not surprised you already finished Bayonetta, I saw that you were online LATE last night playing it and you're even a time zone ahead of me.

I'm pretty sure multiplayer is available from the start.

Lol....should have seen this coming! Amazon drops the game's price just hours after I buy it from the eshop. Oh well, I only paid $2 extra and now I can access the game digitally.
