I have no doubt it'll be better than PS3/360. It was a tad disappointing to say it's closer to them than next gen though.

Well, as these companies learn how to properly push the Wii U in relation to the PS4/Xbox I think things will get better. The Wii U isn't as 'weak' as many think. It just takes a little TLC to make her purr.

I'm not counting on many third party developers jumping on the Wii U even if their money to be made on the console and demand for certain games i.e. Bethesda games, for example!

I even think it is debateable as to whether Ubisoft will continue to release games on the Wii U. Rayman Legends hasn't sold particularly well which is a shame because it's a fantastic game, it's just a shame Ubisoft shot themselves in the foot by delaying its release on the Wii U which annoyed a lot of early adopters who were eager to play this game back in February. Splinter Cell Blacklist is a gimped port that was riddled with bugs, hopefully those bugs have cleared now.

I don't know how well Assassin's Creed IV has done on the Wii U. I hope it has sold well enough for Ubisoft to continue to bring the franchise to the Wii U as I am having a blast with AC IV, it's smooth, it's crisp, it's beautiful and I have yet to come across a bug or a glitch. Top marks for Ubisoft there.

I agree with this. Developers can bring games over it's simply a matter of will they? I hope Nintendo takes the lead and is willing to bring over key specific titles even at the expense of doing it themselves or paying to make it happen. That's the only way the Wii U can survive this generation.

Iwata has already stated that Nintendo will never pay for exclusive content or pay developers to release games on Nintendo consoles as he stated once that happens it becomes a continuous cycle without an end.

I agree with him, if third party developers want to release games on the Wii U then they will, but sadly I cannot see many of them rushing over to Nintendo, so I wouldn't expect to see anymore third party developers jump on board a part from EA who may return after their falling out with Nintendo.

It's a fine line, though. He did say that, yet they have published games, like Lego City Undercover.

Publishing a game is different to paying for exclusive content though. TT Fusion who belong to TT Games are not a massive, powerhouse of a games developer like EA, Activision or Ubisoft for example. They were probably happy to have Nintendo on board to help, however Ubisoft aren't going to want Nintendo to publish their games when they are their own publisher. They'll want Nintendo to pay for exclusive content like what Sony do with Assassin's Creed games.

Nintendo well help a lot of smaller developers like TT Fusion for instance, but that's a different ball game to actually purchasing exclusive games and content.
