Fans of the Guilty Gear franchise have recently started a petition for Arc System Works to bring the next installment of the 2D fighting game series to Wii U. The game is titled Guilty Gear Xrd, and all we know is that it is currently in development. Check out the trailer below.

At the time of writing this article, the petition has accumulated over 6,000 signatures. Perhaps more importantly, the team at Arc System Works has taken note of the petition, mentioning it in a recent tweet.

As a fan of fighting games, I would love to see Guilty Gear Xrd come to the Wii U and open the door for more fighting games in the future. I also believe that Arc System Works offers a unique art style and gameplay in the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue games that may interest Wii U owners who are looking for something different from the console’s current fighting game offerings.

Is this something you guys would be interested in playing? Will you be signing the petition?

Thanks for the tip Jim!

Maybe if all WiiU owners were to do something like this for various third party publishers and devs we would see true next gen games on our system. I want an Elder Scrolls game on WiiU, or a Fallout game! Think about it! They can make a special edition fallout 4 package that would include a Special Edition Pip Boy game pad!!! I would throw my money at Bethesda in a heart beat if I saw that coming.

Edit/Addition: Hell there are plenty of hardcore fallout fans out there that would buy a WiiU just for that!

it will like be a nice fall out cover for ur Game pad, i can’t imagine they will actually make a game pad since nintendo haven’t yet sold separate game pads yet, eitherway you can dream on, but a fallout/elder scroll game on wii u would be nice.

Even if I prefer the Blazblue Universe i would like to see Arc System Works great Beat em Up’s on my Wii U. Would definately buy this games. If it sells good and i think it definately will, they port Blazblue to Wii U aswell. Don’t want to buy a PS3 only for BB:Chrono Phantasma xD

Ah that looks freakin amazing. But I’m not into fighting games shoot. Wish it was action…or wish it had an extensive 1 player storyline
    maybe it does?
