Earlier this year there was a big shakeup at Electronic Arts as the company saw CEO John Riccitiello step down. During Riccitiello’s reign as CEO, Electronic Arts was voted Worst Company in America by consumers for two years in a row. According to Andrew Wilson, the company doesn’t believe that it was actually the worst company in America, but that consumers were trying to tell them something. DING DING DING. You win, Andrew Wilson. You finally got the message.

“We started thinking about how we don’t want to be viewed as the worst company in America. I personally don’t think we’ve ever been the worst company in America, but it says something. The consumers out there are telling us something. And we actually took it very seriously. This was before Andrew was the CEO. We and [EA chief operating officer] Peter Moore and a couple of other guys in the executive company got together to try to understand what caused people to say these things. And there were some things out there that…consumers told us they didn’t like. online pass was one thing.”

Does this mean Nintendo will start receiving Electronic Arts games again? Who knows, but it looks like there are a lot of changes in store for the company as its new CEO settles into his role.

“Does this mean Nintendo will start receiving Electronic Arts games again?”

Yes Ahsley, its totally related to the EA paragraph.

    • Gameonfool

they saw sense in not developing on a failed console, ubisoft will be the next one to see sense

      • Felix

my reply was irony. this has nothing to do with nintendo or wii u.

probably when EA said this they didnt even think of the existence of wii u.

      • Justagamer

You are a moron! U mad bro?

      • Justagamer

You failed…U are mad bro The thumbs down proved it..Goodbye!

      • Justagamer

*sniffs the air* What the hell is that smell? Nasty and putrid like BO off of a dead person that crapped themselves? Oh! The WiiUDaily troll hating comments! Thanks hater for proving my point!

      • Wren Justin Umlauf

Why are you even here? If you don’t like Nintendo then fine, but you don’t need to try and convince people to believe something that you know nothing about.

        • Justagamer

He is like most trolls ..too ashamed to show their face and they really like Nintendo but are to afraid to admit it..To cowardly if you really look at it..Thumbs up to you’re comment by the way..They can’t handle the truth and if people would look so many people doing all this console war crap is childish and it’s shameful

          • Gameonfool

yeah when they do a sega and their games end up on my xbox il be laughing at you nintendo cant handle making consoles. the wii u is already on the graveyard guest list

          • Justagamer

Whatever! That will never happen and as for the cablebox one that is a joke in itself

          • Justagamer

Whats funny is the PS4 and Wii U will finish off microsoft and than we can play halo on Wii U..That will put a smile on my face

          • Jon

yeah… you’d like that but… it won’t happen. Your prediction is the same prediction that they have been making since 90s…. over 20 years ago.

Another thing I find interesting is how you pretty much said Nintendo game suck but now you show interest in wanting to play them on your Xbox. Contradictions at it’s best.

      • Simon Stevens

They could port games to the console no problem, it isn’t about money, it’s about them not getting their own way.

      • DragonSilths

Ubifail is usless anyway. Besides Watch Dogs they have nothing special.

  • VITAnator

    • Sdudyoy

Actually Felix already had a comment.

  • Emilio Díaz

    BF4 !

    • Petri

I didn’t like that game on my PC…
Though it might be decent as a console game.

  • VITAnator

Hopefully they’ll support the Wii U as people seem to complain about that too.

    • Gameonfool

theres not enough people with a wii u to complain

      • Gregg

Clearly you are NOT a troll. I won’t feed you. Oops. too late

      • Justagamer

        Get a life loser

        • Gameonfool

          sure will

          • Justagamer

Wow… I actually feel sorry for you. You want to troll SO bad, but you fail at it. Keep that helmet on, and don’t let all the rejection letters from the special Olympics get you down bro. Someday they’ll say you aren’t too retarded to join them! Keep reaching for the stars!

          • Michael Ocampo

Trolling the troll doesn’t help bro…

          • Justagamer

true but he brought it on himself

          • darkcreap

It is better to ignore them. In this site you can see people who come here to discuss and people who simply troll. To the first ones, I read them, appreciate their arguments and reply to them if I see if it is worth exchanging ideas. After all, critical thinking towards Nintendo is essential for us consumers to continue asking the best from them.

To the second… I think they do not deserve even my consideration. This guy is so obvious a troll that it is not even funny. They make noise and create flame threads everywhere they go. It is exasperating to see a wall of text from two users discussing uselessly.

          • Justagamer

I agree It just sickens me that we have loons like that here but it is what it is i quess.Im just a gamer who games and my console of choice is wii u and i don’t even hate PS4 as i am getting one but some people love console wars and to me they are a joke

          • Justagamer

Losers like yourself would love for nintendo to fail and die but that will never happen..You loons have said this time and time again..starting all the way back to sega and lets see you have people saying the 3ds will fail and kill nintendo and what happened..They are still here so go troll people who care..You have exposed yourself for what you are and it’s not much

          • Andreas Sunde

Trolling is an art. A very difficult art. And you suck at it.

          • Justagamer

          • Gameonfool

im not trolling im telling the TRUTH

          • Petri

Think you meant to say “personal opinions, that no one gives a jack about”, instead of “the truth”?

          • Justagamer

Yeah right loser and i have you mom in the trunk of my car..Facepalm!MF

      • YogiGRB

I own a WiiU and most of my friends don’t. When they heard what EA did they boycott them also by not buying there games anymore because they are going to be duel/multiple system owners since playing the WiiU and noticing it’s potential. They are going to buy one within the coming year. From my cousin’s abroad and in forum’s i read, i see the same phenomena.
Before you go on saying i’m a fanboy or whatever, know this: Yes i am a fanboy and true gamer and proud of it, who was lucky enough to own every gameconsole up to date since the NES, Atari, Commodore and Master system including the handhelds.

        • Justagamer

I agree completely but the dude is a cry baby who comes here trying to troll and he fails so bad it’s shameful and he is a disgrace to gaming.

          • Gameonfool

im a REAL gamer unlike you bunch of kids, go and eat a mushroom and save the princess AGAIN

          • Justagamer

hey im not the one who is to ashamed to show his face so go back to playing kinect bears or what ever you do and as for real gamer don’t make me laugh boy..COD does not make you a real gamer, Trust me boy i was gaming long before you were a stain.from what i see you are some cry baby fanboy looking for some jerk off..Well you looked in the wrong place and you’re troll skills suck..Keep trying trooper

          • Kevin Malone

I wish I could be a real gamer like you. I did not have a gaming role model in my life, though. =(

When growing up, I kept seeing teenage guys and gals playing Mario, Zelda, and other Nintendo flagship games on NES, then SNES. Worst of all, they were people I loved and respected, and still do. If only I knew they were setting me up for a lifetime of Fake Gamer persecution.

Please, teach me the ways of Real Gamers. What is the right console? What are the right games? What is the right attitude? Should I spend my time denouncing Fake Gamers on online gaming blogs, too? Is this the way to spread our message, and right their wrongs? Please, let me know if I can assist in this manner, convert people to our cause by emphasizing how poor an opinion we have of them; certainly, they will see the error of their ways in no time if we only condescend enough.

I am confused because one “gamer,” vash12349 on YouTube, said this about one of the games he is doing a playthrough for (Beyond Two Souls, in part 23 of his playthrough): “It is a absolute joy; I am enjoying myself. And that’s why we play games, isn’t it?” When I saw that, I spit out my coffee all over my monitor. Everything I knew seemed a lie at that moment. Was it actually OK for me to play Windwaker because I enjoyed it, or was I actually taking a step in the right direction by no longer playing it, and this vash guy was only encouraging me into a Real Gamer relapse?

I think about this issue every moment at school, at work, while caring for family. I don’t know what to do anymore. I want badly to please the Real Gamer strangers on the Internet who tell me I am victim to the Wrong Way, having strayed from Serious Gaming Culture.

My family says it is OK to enjoy the games you have been playing, that there is nothing to be ashamed of, and that Real Gamers actually mistake their tastes in media for meaningful indicators of manhood, accomplishment, etc. But I suspect they are simply trying to trick me, too, into wasting my life enjoying what I play, instead of playing what it is objectively right to play.

Oh, I am like Augustine of Hippo when he struggled to face God. Who am I, to call myself a man, until I have seen the face of True Gaming?

          • Gameonfool

You need help, il give you the number for Xbox hotline and they will push you in the right direction to true gaming

          • Kevin Malone

Yay, thank you, good sir. Now I can sleep in peace. You are the best person on the Internet.

          • Gameonfool

No problem dude, just here to help

          • 00EpicGamer00

            I love your comment :3.
I wish every gamer on this Earth was like you.

  • Sdudyoy

While I hope they learn from there mistakes, like not supporting Nintendo consoles, although I highly doubt that will happen.

    • jjmesa14

      I agree.

  • Marius Valasinas

Start changing that by publishing games for Wii U then. Being assholes and skipping Nintendo when they need EA’s support most doesn’t help

    • Justagamer

They don’t care they are microsoft lover now

      • Jon

if they are a Microsoft lover, why do they develop for Sony as well?

        • Justagamer

True but they are more more microsoft than the other two

          • Jon

well… that true I guess, when you think about it, people who are similar in personality… they tend to get along.

          • Justagamer

        • DragonSilths

They partnered up with Microsoft to put most of their support on Xbox One. PS4 versions are just a copy and paste version. PS4 games get no special treatment from EA. Just Xbox One.

          • readypembroke

copy and paste hmm…….. I don’t think a PS4 version running at 900P while the One version runs at 720P with the PS4 version having better FPS is copy and pasting from the One to the PS4.

          • DragonSilths

Are you are talking about COD? If So COD is still using the same engine it has for 7 years now. So yes its still a copy and past. If you are talking about games in general. Both PS4 and Xbox One will eventually get to the 1080p mark for every game.

          • ElCharlo

he is talking about BF4, it has the same problem as COD on Xb1

        • Guest

From that other article here on Wii U Daily titled “Iwata discusses Nintendo’s relationship with third party developers,” I am guessing it is because Sony throws money EA’s way, also.

    • Daniel Carvalho

I wouldn’t say they need EA’s support; I do agree Nintendo needs third party support (although they proved they don’t need it to keep running with the N64 and GC), though, but I believe EA fanboys would soon buy a Wii U if they start supporting the consoles.

      • John

I don’t think their are many EA fanboys, if any…

        • Dimitri Theodosakis

EA only true fans are no life waste their money Yearly Sports Crap

      • Rinslowe

True, but ultimately it could only strengthen Ninty’s future having them on board. It’ really is unfortunate. Origin got in the way of all of that…

  • Simon Stevens

They put money above consumer satisfaction and their so called special partnerships, they won’t learn from their mistakes, not for one second, cold hard cash is the only thing that drives them.

  • rp17

Pretty sure they are changing anytime soon

    • audi lover

      That’s great hahah

    • Kevin Malone

Oh, that made my day. No more stress.

    • Eduardo

There graduating from worst company to the Biggest douchebags.

      • Kevin Malone

I was getting worried there; I thought they were making no progress. However, I get the impression that EA’s definition of progress looks something like the following:

“We trained hard, but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams, we would be reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization.”

Just do a Google search for EA reorganization. Google knew what I wanted well before I finished, and though I have not searched it before.

  • Justagamer

I could care less now EA is crap and i will never buy another game from them…Ever!
    EA is Microsoft baby now

  • Orange Lada

The comments that emanated from EA left consumers such as myself, not wanting to support EA any longer. Yes, I own a Wii U, and I also own a PS3. I stopped buying EA for EITHER console as a result of EA’s treatment of Nintendo.

I’m not going to login to some EA Origin account. NEVER. I’m not going to be too happy when some idiot CEO at EA describes a newly released consoled as last gen. And I’m furious when it comes to the point that EA seems to refuse games on my console of choice, not due to economics (which I WOULD understand), but because they want my console of choice to support their stupid Origin.

    EA = FAIL

Big problem for EA now is how to turn this around, and its going to take a few years at this point.

    • Mipaol80

I’m not really worried about EA, they can still easily turn things around for themselves if they just stop doing the crap their customers hate and focus on some new innovative and original titles alongside their yearly (s)ports.

Capcom on the other hand…. sigh

At least Mighty No. 9 is coming to the Wii U and 3DS. *o/*

      • Arthur Jarret

Capcom… well, I like the way they handle the latest SF4 version now. The option to get a cheaper upgrade for your existing game or to buy a retail box that’s also below average retail price.

I can forgive capcom because of monster hunter. Excellent game, great multiplayer on stable servers, huge amount of free DLC quests… they should hurry up and announce Frontier G and 4 in the west for wii U and 3DS respectively!

      • nf_zeta

the thing about it is that EA isn’t hurting at all they are smart enough in other areas to still make profit even after doing crap in other areas

        • Mipaol80

Electronic Arts is fortunate that they’re the makers of officially licensed sports titles for basically every system, if it wasn’t for those licenses and the yearly revenue they generate I don’t think EA would have been in a position to be “the worst company in America” two years in a row, and still afford to continue business.

          • nf_zeta

basically that is what i was talking about, because someone before was smart enough to secure that monopoly they can now just milk those games to survive.

        • lonewolf88

lol yeah thats why they laid people off.

      • DragonSilths

Capcom makes stupid decisions and such. But they don’t fuck you over except with Megaman…Monster Hunter is still their best thing.

        • Dimitri Theodosakis

Capcom does fuck their fans as much EA does following reason

          * Making Crap Resident Evil such 4-6
          * Not giving what we want Such as Resident Evil 2&3 Full Remake aka Resident Evil Remake along with remake Gameplay no Crap 4-6 Gameplay
          * Megaman
          * Rereleases Street Fighter 4
          * Making DMC Devil May Cry only while Fans want Devil May Cry 5 Capcom should done both DMC Devil May cry by US Studio while Main made by Capcom
          * Not Rerelease Resident Evil Remake&0 to Sony, Microsoft

          • DragonSilths

We don’t run Capcom. Capcom makes its own choices not us. And I disagree about all those remakes. I believe REMAKES SHOULD STOP ALL TOGETHER. Especially in games like Street Fighter and Resident Evil.
The only point we can agree on is Megaman.

      • ICHI

EA actually pulled that off fairly early on in the last gen when dice made mirrors edge, they bought criterion, got speilberg to create boom blox and backed dead space. That fizzled out so fast because of the focus put towards metacritic scores on game sales, they are a business so can’t see them getting risky any time soon.

      • Dimitri Theodosakis

their Yearly Crap Sports releases Launch Price 59.99-39.99

    • Justagamer

Agreed and ive never been a fan of EA for years and at this point i may never be

    • rp17

To be fair, the developers EA owns make good games. EA just messes them up with their greedy ways. If EA…

got rid of all DLC (until they learned to be responsible with it),

      got rid of all microtransactions,

      improved Origin,

and, most importantly, brought their games to the Wii U, especially the Star Wars games, I would forgive them. At least until they messed up again.

    • PachterStation

Most of EA’s games just don’t sell on Nintendo’s consoles. That’s the reality of it. Even going back to the days of the SNES, the Mega Drive was always the breadwinner for EA. That changed with the likes of the PS, PS2, PS3, Xbox and Xbox 360. EA not supporting Nintendo consoles is justified.

  • Justagamer

EA Voted third time in a row..This will happen

  • Well only they can change that and so far they have not done a damn thing to make their company any better IMO. They could simply start by releasing games fairly across all platforms and not make excuses for when their game that came late and/or gimped did not sell well.

Start offering real new game releases instead of reskinned and tweaked versions of their old ones (especially their sports games) while still charging the full premium price.

Quit releasing a game incomplete only to sell DLC and extras almost instantly after the game is released.

It is a simple concept EA. Make great games, be fair to the gamers, and the gamers will support you.

  • erich80

First and foremost, I actually don’t see clear criteria conducting The Consumerist’s Golden Poo Award. Although I have little or even no appreciation for EA’s business, I feel that there is at least a couple of American companies that are overall worse than EA.

That being said, I have no hopes in Wii U getting 3rd party support from EA. Interestingly, one guy from EA told Polygon a while ago that EA understands asymmetrical gameplay as the big thing that is coming to gaming today, but he did not say a word on Wii U, the only 8th generation home console which natively supports asymmetrical gameplay. In other words, they are already counting Nintendo out for their plans.

    • Andreas Sunde

“Thanks for teaching us this cool new thing, Nintendo! Now, please excuse us while we ignore you and implement this technology in games for your competitor’s products.”

      • erich80

Yeah, you came up with a very interesting picture, in fact. If you haven’t checked that yet, Google “Why second screen gaming is so important to the future of EA games”.

        • Petri

Got even more disappointed with ea.
“We like your ideas, but we don’t like you…. so yeah…”

          • erich80

The only good thing they’ve done for the Wii U, and the only one, was publishing NFS Most Wanted from Criterion Games on Wii U. That game is absolutely gorgeous.

          • Petri

Yes… But that was too little, too late.
Only complaint I had about that game, was that there was no offline multiplayer.
Gamepad makes Wii U perfect for 2 player head-to-head multiplayer matches.

    • TheAquacharger

The problem is business. There is not enough consumer on the Wii U. I’m sure this will change come holiday with SM3DW and the new Wii U bundles. But that is why you saw a lot of companies skip out on the Wii U. There wasn’t enough install base, which is funny because they’re throwing more support into more expensive consoles with 0 install base.

      • erich80

        What a contradiction, right?

        *EA spokesperson*
        – We are not planning anything for Nintendo platforms in the short- or even in the middle-term. That’s all I have to say.

        – What are the reasons, though?

        *EA spokesperson*
        – Ah, hum… You know… Only few people own those… Ah, Boxes & tablets… They are red and blue, right?

        – Are you speaking about the Wii U? Those are either black or white.

        *EA spokesperson*
        – Yeah, those ones. There is no installed base. That’s all I have to say.

        – But EA is releasing a number of titles for XOne and PS4, which are not even on the shelves yet.

        *EA spokesperson*
        – (…)

        • darkcreap

Exactly. Assymetrical play is great. Another good thing about WiiU is that, because it has one screen on the gamepad and one screen on the TV and two on the gamepad (when they support it), you can have local multiplayer with two players who do not see what the other is doing.

I still remember playing shooters in a split screen. Apart from having less image quality due to the split screen itself, it was not that nice that your rival could see what you were doing. In that sense, PC was back then a better platform in that sense due to LAN/Internet gaming.

          • erich80

“…you can have local multiplayer with two players who do not see what the other is doing.”

This is a groundbreaking feature, indeed. I hope Nintendo pushes the second screen usage to its limits!

    • Rinslowe

Hopefully EA realises that there could be a really solid partnership with Nintendo if they just ease up on the whole Origin travesty. Sooner or later they need to square that one off somehow, because it’s getting in the way of their bottom line.
Even though that impact is currently minute in comparison to their overall business, Wii U continues to grow…

I for one believe that EA has a ton of studio talent under it’s roof. What a shame…

  • BIG Franky

bottom line: if the install base grows to a level that crosses EA’s (and other 3rd parties) break-even threshold, then games will be published. people forget that the goal of these companies (Nintendo included) is to MAKE MONEY….. if Nintendo can get the install base even doubled in the next few months, which is doable with the Christmas season around the corner and a solid line-up of games available (finally), as well as some marketable bundles and the price-cut… once this happens (more Wii-U’s are sold) EA and others will publish games on the platform….. it is as simple as that.

  • shaw98

It would probably be best if you stop dissing the wii u and start seeing it as an opportunity.

  • Leo

They are too busy with their heads up in their asses to ever understand. EAhole.

  • bizzy gie

It’s JUST NOW downing on them?! Morons.

  • Andrew Chambers

They need to fix the Golden Poo awards. I really don’t think EA is the worst company in the country, that’s just a ridiculous idea.

Now the worst gaming company in the US, that I will support.

  • GameBoy1979

Whether they are the worst company in America or not is a moot point at this stage in the game. In today’s world, it’s all about relying on the numbers, but what happened to the days of old when chances were taken in a business. I totally get why they do things the way they do, but if companies like EA would put aside their investor caps, put on their creative caps, & make good games for the customer, they might actually do just the opposite of what they so desperately try to do in the first place through tireless analytics & actually help make the install base of the Wii U grow so they could sell more games. If they would just put a couple of their better games out there for the Wii U crowd to buy, then the system might just sell a little better because no matter what Nintendo makes games-wise & despite most people thinking EA stinks, some of EA’s games are actually downright fun & addictive to play. I’ve always enjoyed almost all genres of game play, including many of the sports games made by EA such as NCAA football & TW’s golf. Those have always been system sellers in my eyes because they are games I can enjoy not only by myself, but with large groups of people & their replay value is much greater than many of the linear platform games out there. My old college roommates & I used to play one of those two games almost every single day of the week after class to let off steam. The camaraderie & competition of playing in person was always extremely fun & more gratifying than playing versus someone online that can’t be seen. Now, unless someone owns a MS or Sony product (or PC), or if you’re not big into online gaming, you’re seemingly screwed. The sad part is, most companies work the same way EA does; they always take the route that the “numbers” tell them to whether the chance of the opposite working may happen or not, in effect alienating someone in the process; which is usually us Nintendo gamers.

  • MetroidZero

EA, this is your chance to turn around. Don’t disappoint.

  • Justagamer

You know ive been a gamer a very long time and seen alot and what is so funny to me is when posers like goodbyenintendo come here and try to prove to us nintendo fans that nintendo is finished and needs to die well poser one pic proves it all and real gamers don’t do console wars..Console wars are for pussies

  • Starfoxguy

Well they better get their act together and stop trying to force their online service on a company that is just now getting into online gaming.

  • Deadpool U

If they don’t wanna be the worst company in America EA shouldn’t do things like:
Releasing Mass Effect trilogy for every console except Wii U just as the Wii U version of ME3 comes out.
Bash Wii U at every turn
    Release poor ports
Admit BF4 will be better with 2 screens and put on every console except for the one where the second screen isn’t a different device
If they avoid doing all of this then maybe they’ll pass under the bar.

  • iamserious

Only read the title and I LMAO!

  • Entropyguy

Will they release games that don’t *require* one to be online for basic functionality? Because that’s the big one, for me – I’m not a fan of single-player games requiring an internet connection.

  • Mj78

EA ….once a pantheon of the gaming world, now one of the biggest jokes out there. I think they will comfortably win the prize again!!!!!

  • Petri

    Good luck with that.
I have no interest on the company either way.

  • Jeovany

I don’t understand why EA making a such a big deal about this. It just a stupid Internet poll

    • TheAquacharger

It sadly effects their business. when they got voted worst company twice in a row their shares dropped a bit.

  • Lord Tywin

Honestly, I don’t buy Nintendo consoles expecting to play the latest EA titles on them. Usually I play EA games on PC or my second console, either a PlayStation or an Xbox console. I also don’t play many EA games to begin with, so I suppose those who are more interested in their games would gravitate more towards the Xbox, PlayStation, or the PC for those titles. When I have a Nintendo console, I get excited about their exclusives, since usually these titles take the greatest advantage of Nintendo’s unique hardware, whether they are first-party games or not.

  • Mario

    Now they realize this!?

  • CEObrainz

I laughed more than I should have when I read the headline for this story, however if these “talks” do lead to positive changes, then I’m glad it only took winning two years in row to figure this out.

  • TheAquacharger

I find it sad that people vote EA the worst company in America when there are plenty doing damage to the economy and the ecosystem where all EA does is make video games that people tend to bitch about.

  • Arthur Jarret

    We’ll get EA games again?
Drat, just as I started to enjoy this unprecedented relationship…

j/k of course… I must say I’ve been debating getting battlefield 4 – I’m not a fan of military shooters at all (for shooters I prefer borderlands, bioshock and similar fantasy/sci fi themes – and then they’re still not my fav. genre), but the levels that change entirely during the course of an online match are very impressive and seem like a great experience… then there’s criterion, one of my favorite race-game developers operating under EA’s flag… not to mention the star wars games being made (bioware!). Their latest decisions have shown they are improving the way they treat customers and are starting to take feedback more seriously.

Then again, the only way we can get EA to develop for wii u outside of gimped ports is to either protest for it (and actually buy the game if the protest works) or hope for a miraculous expansion of the wii u user base.

  • starwars360

Yes please EA please bring some games for Wii U and 3DS for support and share. Stop killing some Franchises, stop making too many games with bugged online multiplayer. That is EA, if you sort all out then you are in safe!!! If not then year worst company ever!!! 🙂

  • InsaneZucchini

Bring Dragon Age Inquisition to Wii U and Mass Effect 4 and I’ll consider forgiving your indiscretions. Make a sequel to Jade Empire and I might love you. Things to consider EA, things to consider.

  • Justagamer

Goodbyenintendo is all butthurt because this site has awesome nintendo fans and it is a nintendo site and he can’t stand it…Priceless!

    • 00EpicGamer00

It is pretty hilarious to see people act so retarded on the internet. But! Remember that the only reason they do, is because they want attention. The more negative a comment is, the more attention it will bring. I mean, come on, goodbyenintendo posts negative comments multiple times on an article (usually up to 10 times)….kind of proving that he/she/it only wants attention.

So, it’s best to just ignore people like that, cause usually they don’t really mean what they say, they just say it to get attention…and it works, obviously. If goodbyenintendo really meant what he/she/it said, then they would NOT be repeating themselves a million times on one article. That right there should be the clue that he/she/it is only doing it for the attention. I’m pretty sure that goodbyenintendo “likes” Nintendo, or at least is neutral about it.

      • Justagamer

I can agree to that and it’s just sad..He must not have a life

  • discuss

I really want the next Mass Effect on the Wii U … on the other side I want to see EA bankrupt.

  • NkoSekirei

EA says they dont want to win the worst game company in the world 3 times in a row lolololol that makes my day but seriously if they stop screwing gamers that play the wii u from getting battlefield game then they wouldnt be in this fking mess but heres a piece of advice to u EA get rid of(cough)origin(cough) and stop throwing tantrums if u cant get ur own way

    • Justagamer

      They don’t care

  • Rinslowe

“EA says they don’t want to be voted Worst Company in America three times in a row”

LOL, then support the Wii U “YOU FOOLS”!!

  • Dez

Only took them about a decade to consider. No, I wonder why? How about all those nazi policies, unfinished games, huge layoffs of employees, cocky attitude, abysmal customer relations, buggiest games to grace the planet (just ahead of Bethesda), heavily censored forums, crappy software control center thing they keep trying to force you to install (PC), blatant lying, talking in circles, treating consumers like shit, and the list goes on. Their new CEO must be a fucken idiot even he doesn’t understand why. That or he is just trying to get some pity so that the company can shake you down for every last cent; did I forget to mention the ridiculously overpriced 20+ Sims expansion packs?

  • classicgamer20

wow its been a while since i’ve seen something about EA on this site

  • majora :D

Good news… kinda. Hope it wont be just words…

  • ZeldaFanzzzz

EA’s Hilleman says Miyamoto has “fallen down on the job”, oh there you go, 100% sure EA will be voted the worst company in america of 2013, and quite possibly 2014.

  • Hulkamania

but you will be voted worse company EA because you screwed over Nintendo gamers the same way you screwed over SEGA gamers back in the day. On the Wii U and 3DS, Sega and Nintendo gamers unite… so screw you EA.

  • Kris

Monsanto is the worst company in far. Geez people need to get a life.

    • Will (ishigum)

      What about Philip Morris?

      • Kris

Monsanto beats them hands down, nobody is forcing you to smoke but they are trying to force us to eat their GMO.

  • nexxus6

EA strikes me as Frank Cross in Scrooged. Even if they won the award for “best company in America”, they would intentionally leave the award in a taxi cab that they stole from an elderly lady.

  • blindtiger

How do you vote for this? I wanna make sure to secure eas dominance of shittiness

  • Merrfn

    How do I vote?

  • val berger

it’s like Mc Donalds tries to NOT claim the title for worst restaurant in the world. I’m pretty sure, if for instance some Oil Company would cause some huge oilspilldrama like we had a few years ago, resulting them to be voted as worst company, EA would thank their community for showing the world, what a great and honorable company they are, now that they’re only #2 on that list. Huge companies like EA can’t change from one day to another. Especially not EA.
I would personally love Ubisoft to have even more success on what they are doing. Sure, they are also throwing out one game after another every year, but at least it somehow feels like they are doing it notJUST to grab money, but also to please gaming hearts. They are really often trying to create unique experiences, like Rayman is an artistic masterpiece, or the Division looking really huge, not to mention Watchdogs. As we have seen with Rayman, Ubi is also a company, driven by profit, but then again, which one isn’t? Compared to EA they are really appealing like angels, compared to EA and I really do think, EA is doing Ubisoft quite a favour by acting like a huge bunch of braindead monkeys.

  • pbd2

EA are fine, they publish some great games such as FIFA and BF4. Origin on the pc is great.

    • Petri

      Enough with the sarcasm.
But in all seriousness, Fifa might be the best soccer game out there, but I’m not interested about that kind of games. That mutilated series once called Battlefield should be laid to rest. And that abomination that is Origin should be buried so deep in the bit jungle, that not even the most curious ones would ever stumble upon it.

      • Best football game? How many other competitors are there? PES? That’s it.

        • Petri

Last time I played soccer game, was non-licensed nes game. Better than any of EA’s. But yeah, easy to be best, when you’re the only one.

      • pbd2

Whats wrong with Origin? Its easy to use , runs fast and has really fast download speeds. I find it works better than Steam.

  • Joel

    *reads comments.*

And this is why gamers are considered scum.

  • InterTreble

EA claims for Wii U install base and doesn’t support Wii U (but why the hell they don’t support 3DS and Wii, whose install bases double the competitors’, then?!) EA claims for who voted them as the worst company in America and prays them not to do so in the future (as children do). EA always claims, claims, claims… just claims.

  • Sorry, but after Army of Two III (Devil’s Cartel), DeadSpace III & Mass Effect III (see a pattern here?)… you can FORGET my money. That ship about listening to consumers sailed a long time ago. With EA, 3 is the unlucky number… they always seem to fuck it up.

  • You brought this on yourself, EA. You treat your fans like slaves, release unfinished games and slap DLC on them, stab Nintendo in the back and expect them to throw their money at you? That sounds worthy of 5 worst company awards!

  • tom

EA the first step in recovery is to admit you have a problem.

  • Fuzunga

Well then they should stop sucking!

  • PachterStation

Yearly updates, yearly updates and more yearly updates, EA and gamers are stuck with it. Need for Speed has always been a white elephant franchise. No new Road Rash. Great move getting rid of Tiger Woods. The PGA Golf franchise was only good on the Mega Drive (European Tour is legendary). PGA 96 on the PlayStation was a turn for the worse. And I can’t say Mass Effect did it for me either. The last Medal of Honor was a terrible game, can’t say Battlefield is perfect (will see how it goes with Battlefield 4). EA are a very overrated publisher.

  • Germany

It’s ok, We Germans know they are bad.

  • thanos1984

    They are Bioware’s publishers unfortunatelly…

  • LyonKS555

EA is in it for the money. Not the consumers.

  • FaTih

    Make games for Wii U

  • Dimitri Theodosakis

everyone keep voting EA as Worst Company in America till they Bring Battlefield 4, Mass Effect 1-3 to Wii U, Drop their Yearly Crap Sports releases Launch Price 59.99-39.99
