Art Academy: Sketchpad is a popular application on the Wii U for the more artistically minded among us. We’ve seen some great drawings result from some of the events that Nintendo developers have held over the past few months and this month, Yoshi’s New Island producer Takashi Tezuka is holding a Yoshi-themed event that you can participate in. If you fancy yourself an artist and you own the application, you can check out the post on Miiverse and get ready to draw Yoshi for the event. Nintendo always features some of the best pictures from these events after they’re over and the galleries are always amazing to look through. If you want to take part in the event, you’ll need to own Art Academy: Sketchpad on your Wii U. The app is available for $3.99 and features several different tools for drawing, including pencils, colored pencils, and pastels. The Yoshi community contest is listed in Art Academy: Sketchpad’s community events, so check it out! If they start E3 with Yoshi’s Yarn and then announce year of Yoshi i will be furious. I like Yoshi, but they need to concentrate on more than just 1 IP and give us a lot of different games, not 15 mario games. Shane Michaels …I just wanted to start a gif party. jjbredesen but http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/321/238/d47.jpg Shane Michaels http://media.tumblr.com/df37216b6a87dfee4586df66bd4f2f5f/tumblr_inline_mr0pjw8Ffm1qz4rgp.gif Keith Get over yourself. Beggers cant be choosers & you should be happy that Nintendo is going to make this E3 better than last year’s. Also, you shouldn’t expect any major 3rd party games announced at E3. If there was any wind of something in that ball park, we’d at least have a hint or rumor about it. Nintendo = 1st party games. You nor anyone else for that matter purchased your Wii U for mainly 3rd party reasons. Sure they help but the purchase was made for Nintendo games. You may be too young & too stubborn to admit it but I am indeed correct nonetheless. Shane Michaels I wouldn’t say they were made just for Nintendo games. Nintendo was never just NINTENDO games. They were Nintendo and other games that fit in, from 3rd parties. Sega was always more predominantly 1st party, to me anyway, as they were the arcade machine. NES though, was like the first video game console. There’s no reason that has to change. DoctorWily This has definitely been the trend lately but that hasn’t been Nintendo’s history throughout the years. Mega Man, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Madden, Contra, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat, Perfect Dark, Earthworm Jim, Battletoads, Double Dragon, etc are all 3rd party games that appeared, if not began, on Nintendo platforms. Jack5221 It should be the year of Yoshi. Theres a Yoshi Wii Mote that came out, a Yoshi 3DS game, a special Yoshi themed 3DS, and theres still that elusive Yarn Yoshi game for the Wii U. Its been 18 months since they have talked about it… If they don’t mention it at this years E3 then Im going to punch a hole in the sun. Sam I’m entering. Rinslowe God I wish… Squid Hey hey, if you actually practice and take dedication you can go very far, I went from crappy ms paint drawings to this and I still have more to improve!
