Square-Enix has made available a new Deus Ex walkthrough video for the Wii U version of the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut. The walkthrough shows the entire FEMA camp level, all the way up to the boss fight with Barrett. The neat thing about this video is that it shows off the strengths of the Wii U GamePad and how players will utilize it, so if you’re on the fence about this one because you’ve already played it on another platform, there’s plenty new here for you.

    Release date….

    • Baum 「ツリー」

there were some rumors, that stated September 30th, but Squenix didn’t confirm it yet :/

      • Petri

This delay is starting to put me off.

        • Elem187

Me too, I think I will just rent it… I don’t have time to play a guessing game with Square with so many fantastic games coming out on the Wii U shortly.

  • Joshua Brodie

As I have never played this game before, I was rather excited to see it coming to the Wii U. Of course that was almost a year ago and there still is no release date. My excitement has been dwindling fast, especially as of late. If they don’t release it soon, I may loose all interest.

    • Ballzbeard

It’s an excellent game. I highly recommend it, man.

      • ScrewAttack

Definitely. Stellar title, I’ve completed it already on 360 but I’ll be all over the Wii U edition cos it’s just that good.

    • felony211662

This and watch dogs will be two titles I will most definitely get. Sorry sm3dw, I’m trying to get more great games like u for my console

  • JBeauregard

Well, I wasn’t interested… until I saw the video above!

  • Arthur Jarret

Nintendo Europe’s release is set to ‘2013’
    Square’s release is ‘Coming soon’

My definition of ‘soon’ is ‘within a week’… and next week is 2013…

  • jrob23

Sadly, this will not sell well. When it finally releases on the Wii U it will be competing with so many games it will get lost in the shuffle. As this was highly rated when it first came out, this being a Director’s Cut AND with added use of the gamepad I would think it would rate in the 9s..or higher than the original rating. But watch, if Keza over at IGN reviews it, it will be lucky to duplicate it’s original score as nobody likes to give the Wii U credit for its gamepad use. Also, because IGN has a anti Nintendo bias and Keza has no business reviewing games.
Sadly, the ho hum review and the timing will hurt sales and yet another 3rd party will be unimpressed with the Wii U. It’s a shame but really, there are so many first party games and brand new games coming out over the next six months it will be pretty hard to get any substantial sales for this. Would have been nice back in the spring when the Wii U needed it most.

    • The Clockwork Being

I’m not sure if it was her but when Earthbound was reviewed for the Virtual Console Release it got a 9.0. The only thing separating it from a perfect score was because the beginning didn’t have any ”hand holding” in their words the beginning was too hard.

      • Wayne Beck

Funny, she docked 2.6 points from Wonderful 101 for the same reason.

        • tronic307

Knocking points off for a learning curve? Keza be trollin’.

The Wonderful 101 demo is EPIC, to say nothing of the masterpiece that is EarthBound. Why wouldn’t she have a peek at the provided online strategy guide?

          Plot hole!

      • jay

Ironically points get deducted for “hand holding”. Fucking hypocrites.

      • Pikachief

I like playing through earthbound again and again because I find better ways to play at the beginning of the game. I can actually think of a different strategy and figure out if I can really get through Onett without dying or having to grind at all. I think its great. And I can give people tips on Miiverse!

    • Clel

Yeah, now with both Rich AND Audrey gone, the Nintendo love is not doing great over in IGN.

      • tronic307

Yes, but Audrey’s living a fan’s dream working at the Nintendo Treehouse.

      • D.M.T

        Where did Rich go??

        • Clel

He didn’t say… or at least he was super discreet about it.

          • D.M.T

Ok but to be fair, the Nintendo section of IGN already sucked with Rich and Audrey there but now that they are gone it sucks even more. This is why I stay away from IGN because it’s a website filled with Sony fanboys. I’m happy for Audrey, she’s a true Nintendo fan working for Nintendo!!!

    • Archiq09

Deus ex is one of game with super good story :3

    • Martijn Plasmans

The biggest problem is that the game is now almost 3 years old.
Everyone interested in the game has already bought it on console or pc if not full priced, then for 10$ or 10€.

Only a few like myself don’t have it yet and even i am doubting about buying this 3 year old game for full price, no matter how good it is.

  • SonicLucario

Did they forget to put a release date again?…

    • Elem187

No, they didn’t forget, they are just holding this game until the console begins to sell more.

      • jay

What a stupid strategy. No offense but I doubt they’re that dumb.

        • D.M.T

Dude…THEY ARE that dumb. We are talking about 3rd party publishers here, they rarely use common sense.

  • RyuNoHadouken

    • Thomas Fitzgibbon

Is that a joke? It’s a high budget game that got excellent reviews on its original platforms. Shovelware usually comes in the guise of Sports Connection or Ninjabread Man.

      • RyuNoHadouken

the game was “decent” when I played it 2 years ago….i just dont understand the fascination with remakes…waste of resources IMO

        • Thomas Fitzgibbon

I’m not complaining, just be grateful to have great titles on Wii U, you don’t have to buy these remakes/remasterings if you don’t want to. If it’s a waste of resources, why are people getting hyped about Wind Waker HD?

          • RyuNoHadouken

because its a first party Nintendo game and im willing to bet, the only ones really excited about it are the ones who were in diapers when the original came out

          • Thomas Fitzgibbon

There are plenty of adults who play these sort of games, why must every Nintendo gamer be a kid or a teenager? Don’t be ageist!

          • RyuNoHadouken

you totally missed my point in your blind rage to continue arguing with me….the adukt gamers have already played and beat this game….it has NO replay value…the younger people who didnt play it before are excited about it because its NEW TO THEM

          • Thomas Fitzgibbon

I’m not angry, I have no reason to be. It’s Zelda, of course it has replay value, it’s got plenty of new content anyway, FPS perspective, altered Triforce quest etc. People would play it again solely for the updated visuals. It’s still a fantastic title. Of course you might think it “shovelware”, so it’s probably of no interest to you.

          • RyuNoHadouken

im sure my son will make me buy it anyway though

          • david jarman

            Windwaker HD:
That’s not true at all cause if you been paying attention to this site any others then you would see in the comment section that most have played it and can’t wait to play it again. I’m 36. I have it on gamecube and I will have on the wii u.
It has plent of replay value especially after its been several years and has been updated. Nothing like reliving some of those great moments.
            Deus ex:
Deus ex is far from shovelware. That’s some pretty cool ideas they added with gamepad and not to mention it has a moderate amount of replay value cause you can change the way you approach or execute things and it was a quality game to begin with.
But I understand if you’re not interested in it.

          • RyuNoHadouken

im 35 and i had to make myself beat it on gamecube and i bought it day one…just wasnt interesting to me…it didnt grab me like ALTTP or OoT did

          • Matthew Wesley

Because it’s better than the original.

    • Andreas Sunde

It’s a Director’s Cut with all the DLC and improved boss fights, with all the DLC, and it’s a multiplat release. This is completely normal in the AAA industry.

This makes me want to get it more but I don’t know since there are so many other good games coming out soon and I can’t get them all so i’ll wait till the price drops, or till I get more money.

  • Game looks good graphically. Gamepad functionality should enhance this game pretty well too. I have never played any of this series so I am not sure if this game is for me though.

    • david jarman

If you like rpg’s and first person shooters. You might like this one.

      • Not a big FPS fan really. I do like the ones that have more of a SciFi theme though compared to the War Themed. I liked Halo until they made the game only good when playing online.

        • david jarman

This one is sci-fi and is pretty much an RPG fps. The stealth options are great a long with hacking mini games. You choose which parts of you, you want to upgrade and enhance to suit you’re playing style. It is possible to go through the game without shooting anyone.

        • Pikachief

I felt like Halo 4 had a pretty good campaign, I’ll hop on and play anything that isn’t the desert level from time to time. It’s nothing AMAZING but I thought it was way better than 3, ODST, and Reach, personally.

  • discuss

I played the PC version. It was ok. However this trailer makes the game seem extremely dull.

  • Agent721

    I’m getting this for sure.

  • uPadWatcher

  • Stephen Davis

I forgot all about this. This is stilling coming out?? Too bad it WILL be buried beneath Nintendo IP’s, COD Ghosts, Watchdogs, and so many more…

    • starwars360

Yeah it is coming later this year and Square Enix want this game take time and this why they not want show more information since early this year. So game is coming Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360. There also rumours there might be new achievements and trophies system for this Director’s Cut version so if true then it is would some different to earns then original version and some might same. But we wait and see when game come out.

I will getting Wii U cos I got 1000G for Xbox 360 in 2011 as original version. I want get D’s Cut version for Wii U because gamepad look so good in this gameplay trailer. 🙂

      • The Clockwork Being

Same. Funny I am only getting 2 Nintendo games with my Wii U. The rest of my library are all 3rd party games for this holiday seasons.

        • starwars360

Yeah one of best games in 2011 and I played Xbox 360 and loved it also yeah I got 1000G completed Gamerscore for it. So I want get D’s Cut for Wii U.

I got Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, LEGO City Undercover, Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate and Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition at moment for Wii U so yeah I got one 3rd Party game moment while getting Scribblenauts Unmasked and Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut. Those 2 will be next 3rd party games for Wii U for me get it.

I already bought (since launched and game came in with console), played and trade in ZombiU. I trade in ZombiU last few days with some Xbox 360 and PS3 games to get more money cash in CEX (UK videogame shop).

I already got The Wonderful 101 today and almost loved it. Gamepad control can be clop sometime but it is manageable through game in early of playthrough moment.

Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Sonic: Lost World and Mario & Sonic new sport game. Those First Party games I getting this year. Next year will be biggest and large important first party games like SSB, X, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2 and more as well unknown what new IP game is about from Nintendo. 🙂

  • prettypinkpanacea

I like Square-Enix. In fact, I liked them way back when they were just Square. I really enjoyed the secret of mana and sword of mana games. I quite liked the above preview and I will considering purchasing this game since I haven’t played it before.

  • sd

Shame they didnt release it back in June. Now when they release it my choice is this or splinter cell. I think I will get splintercell. Another delay that will cost sales.

  • Pikachief

This and Monster Hunter, Resident Evil: Revelations, Donkey Kong, Mario World, Windwaker HD, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, and Pikmin 3 make me wish I had more money and time for Wii U games!

  • Noah Hood

This game looks interesting. But I defiantly have other games on my priority list that come before this on the Wii U. I’m sad that Square Enix is willing to make a Director’s Cut for this game but they haven’t brought Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts to the Wii U. Both Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts would be perfect for the Wii U! They could both incorporate the Gamepad’s unique features very well.

  • fireheartis1

This looks amazing man I might just have to pick this one up on release. The GamePad features look really fun to use. Especially the sniper rifle. Heck that was one of the things I thought about when I first saw the GamePad. It’s nice to see a developer think outside the box for a change.

  • Matthew Wesley

Yeah, and I’m not paying more for it than what I would have to spend to get it on another system.

  • Quicksilver88

I am generally not an FPS fan but ocassionally one with a strong single player story and levelling mechanics really interests me. What is sad is that S-E birthed this product for and because of the WiiU, then due to poor system sales took it multiplat which isn’t going to do much either, they are taking their time and appear to be builing it right so cosindering it was a great game a few years ago with the grafx upgrade, all the dlc, boss battle improvement and gamepad support I think it could be excellent, but still sell poorly. I have been looking forward to it since May and the delays haven’t helped but I missed the original on ps360 and ig it turns out as expected I will be buying this whenever it gets out…..but for gods sake give it a release dat already.

  • YayGs

Awesome, this video has re-peaked my interest in this game. I actually almost forgot about it…

  • $491174

Looks like a 360 game. And a modest one at that. almost a decade old tech, sorry… evens a Nintendo fan… I have to admit
