Wii Fit U’s release day is upon us and it looks like Best Buy and Amazon are heading into a price match over the release. The retail package including the game, Wii Fit Meter, and a Wii Fit U balance board is normally $89, but both retailers are currently selling the package for just $65. There’s no telling how long this deal will last, so if you don’t have a balance board and wii fit meter yet, this makes a great deal.

If all you need is the Wii Fit Meter, you can snag one for $20 from both places and use it with your free trial in order to unlock the full game. Not too shabby!

    Fair deal.

Does Wii Fit U have abs workout exercises? need to build those packs.

    • Guy

It does. There’s both strength and yoga exercises for abs, and I think mini-games as well.

    • Nintenjoe82

Besides the standard planking and crunches, it has the most fun ab workout I have ever done. It’s pretty hardcore but this vid makes it look quite tame:

      • Screamin Mime

You can do that with your feet on the ground? I thought you were supposed to keep them elevated!

    • Yousif Alromaithi

Wanna tone, buy Wii Fit U it really helped me tone back on 2011. This is when I lost 66 pounds in about six months and I achieved that with the help the original Wii Fit. I still train like playing soccer but no much but if I want to build muscles like anytime soon then Wii Fit U will be home gym for me.

      • Rinslowe

        Wow. Great effort!

        • Yousif Alromaithi

          I know.

      • WellWisher

        Nice work.

How does it build biceps and triceps? Does it like make you do push ups on the balance board or something?

        • Magnus Eriksson

You wont build much muscles with these kind of games. Best for biceps is heavy curling, and remember its more important to build triceps as they will help you to get a much bigger arm aswell as illusion of bigger biceps. You can do fairly good with only manuals, or actually other things aswell. I used to fill up a bunch of plastic 1.5 litres bottles with water (20-30) and put them in a large bag. Then lift it as you were curling. Carrying it arround to build shoulders etc. Works just as good, and much less pricy. Good luck.

        • Yousif Alromaithi

If you wanna build muscles on biceps you need to train with dumbbells or the curl bar so that the biceps can grow. If you wanna tone do bench on curls. Triceps use rope for to grow if wanna tone bench while laying down. There are other exercises to do but it takes time to learn . So if you are willing to learn just use bodybuilding.com since it will help.

you wanna see me when I was fat. Okay see this. http://s11.postimg.org/y6e8nm9ib/227735_10150172995232293_2749438_n.jpg

          • Magnus Eriksson

            You did a great job.

          • Yousif Alromaithi

Thanks I was always a sport man when I was kid. Even when I was 220 pound I can still dribble with ball about a hundred times and still maintained the same speed when I was skinny during my school days just like I was before. Becoming fat at my college days did not affect my skills on soccer but slowed me a bit since I lose my edge of the ball control when playing competitively with friends.

          • Magnus Eriksson

Im currently 134 kilos, a bit overweight but I used to do some lifting weights, boxing and exercize, so its not only fat. 😀 Measures 48cm around the overarms, which is quite good. Sadly its a bit too much around the stomach nowdays 😀

          • Yousif Alromaithi

It is alright at least you are enjoying your life so some people quit training like I do. Now I am not under training.

          • Magnus Eriksson

Yeah, well I was 120 kg before. Sounds alot too, but Im actually quite tall, 198 cm. When you build muscles 120 kg is nothing. But when I stopped training id gain some wight again 🙂

          • Yousif Alromaithi

Wow 198 cm Man you known I am about 173.

        • Jaxon Holden

Yes, there are muscle building exercises like pushups and all kinds of other similar workouts on Wii Fit U. Even toning for triceps. Don’t think this game is for lightweights- I jumped in yesterday with a 4.1 mile run, advanced luge races for my core, yoga, balance training and muscle toning. This game really did a number on me. I’m walking stiff as h*** today lol…

    • Jaxon Holden

Does it ever. Try advanced luge. It worked muscles in my core I never even knew I had. I feel like a creaky old board right now. That Wii Fit U ain’t no joke.

  • Magnus Eriksson

LOL! No. I like being fat 🙂

  • wiimenonowiiu

Its a pretty good deal its a lot of fun for a move game

  • Lusunup

Aww…. wish I knew sooner…. instead I got AC4 and blunderful 101 by the time paycheck comes around I think it’ll be gone.

  • RichM

I picked up a fit meter earlier this week and registered it prior to the end of my trial period. So, I got the $20 deal! : ) So far I really like Wii Fit U. One year I used Wii Fit to lose about 15 lbs. I hate lifting weights and right now it’s too cold to go for a run where I live. I would not say Wii Fit U should be your only source of exercise, but during cold winter months, it can help keep the pounds off. I never had Wii Fit Plus, so all these new games are a lot of fun. I really like the trampolin jumping one. Don’t think you won’t break a sweat, try doing 10 minute Super Hula Hoop…twice in a row!

  • Rick Valenta

Going to go get this today. I am going to take before and after pics of me getting ripped with Wii Fit U and become like the Jared of Nintendo.. Granted I’m not starting nearly as big as Jared but I could stand to lose like 40lbs… I am going to be the first bodybuilder to train exclusively on the Wii U (and a full set of free weights.) 😉

  • Yoshiwhirlwind

Just ordered it. I always wanted to try wii fit.

  • Daniel Gonzalez

Too lazy. I’ll stick to my thumb workouts.

  • Elitepwnsface

Makes me wonder mad Nintendo is right now at Amazon.

  • Screamin Mime

Why did they get rid of the skate park? That was the best game!

  • DragonSilths

I read this as Wii U’s for $65…

  • JiveAssNiggerBoy

My trial has expired, but the game icon still appears on my Home menu. Can I still register the Wii Fit Meter and get the game for free even though it’s been more than 30 days since I downloaded it?

  • Jason

Is there any difference between the Wii Fit U Balance Board and the old Wii Fit Balance Board?

    • mch

Noup it’s the same Balance Board!

  • Guest

still too heavy to use it. I weigh about 360 but I’m down from 445. I bought it anyway because I can’t bass up a good deal.
