If you have a question for Cranky Kong, now’s your chance to ask it, as Nintendo of America have announced that the grumpy grandpa will be taking over their Twitter account on Thursday, February 20 in order to answer questions from fans. All the tweets need to be tagged using the hashtag #CrankyKong for them to be answered, so if you’re interested in reading some of the funny replies you’ll be able to do so that way.

The Cranky Kong takeover is a part of the promotion being done for the release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which releases on February 21, 2014. If you have questions for Cranky, be sure and get them in before Thursday.

  • Why did you make me so cranky?

  • Squid

  • Magnus Eriksson

Hi Cranky. How did it feel to be the star at VGX awards? You was the big talker ever since. Helping Nintendo lose 80% of its stock value. Congrats you old fart. You really did it!

  • classicgamer20

Oh shit I can all ready see the trolls lining up for nintendoom questions.

    • The Clockwork Being

Well this is going to be one hell of day for Cranky Kong. lol

    • Carlos Webster

      what a funny joke.

    • Magnus Eriksson

Im perma-banned from Nintendo sadly. Otherwise I would sign up for fighting trolls.

  • starwars360

I can’t wait for this epic new Donkey Kong Country series!!! I should have copy by Thursday from shopto.net.

I want to play as Donkey, Cranky, Dixie or my favourite Diddy Kong!!!! 😀

Diddy Kong is my bastard cap monkey with awesome cartwheel attacks!!!

  • Mithiragi

Ey yo Cranky (aka Scrooge McDuck ripoff). Ask Miyamoto to make a damn Starfox or F-Zero. Now. Don’t make me call the Chinese on your ass!

  • Gameonfool

i wanna ask him why he kept stealing the girl in donkey kong

    • Mithiragi

      I think we know. 😉

      • Gameonfool

so he must be a dirty old perv now

        • Mithiragi

          He looks like one lol

          • Gameonfool

lol i think we need to keep an eye on him

          • Mithiragi

Yeah or else he’ll keep an eye on our kids. PEDO ALERT

          • Gameonfool

im not gonna ask what he does with that stick. And everyone before you let your kids send a message check the offenders register.

          • Mithiragi

            True dat lol

  • Frankie

This is a good movie to promote the game. Nintendo needs to have better marketing like this for all their games.

    • Mithiragi

movie? I can see it all now, “Cranky Kong and the Banana Bitches”

    • Stephen

Yeah, Nintendo has -really- been marketing DKC Tropical Freeze. I saw an ad for it on a Pinion-enabled Team Fortress 2 server, of all places.

Lots of commercials, trailers, banner ads on random sites. Good work, Nintendo. I think this game is gonna sell very well and very quickly.

  • Nintenjoe82

Cranky, now Nintendo have finished your latest cash-grab adventure, can you please tell us what other game Retro are working on?

    • Mithiragi

      Please be Metroid.

    • BKupa666

Well, if Nintendo wants to grab any cash whatsoever, it definitely won’t be Metroid they’re making.

In space, no one can see your sales.

      • Nintenjoe82

but fortunately……….. in space, no investors can call for Iwata’s sacking!

  • linkzero65

what products do you use for such awesome beard?

  • Marcus Larsson

IGN gave DKTF A 9.0 for anyone who didnt know

    • greengecko007

They didn’t give it an 11/10? It must be because IGN hates Nintendo. How could this latest Donkey Kong game be anything less than extra perfect?

Sarcasm aside, it really was a good review from what I’ve read. Jose Otero is a great guy, and the Nintendo community on IGN is arguably the best (not mentioning the rabid fans).

      • BKupa666

If they gave it an 11/10, the True Metroid Fans among us would have had to tweet 1.1 Death Threats to IGN’s journalists on Twitter.

  • SleepySkullhead

The wording makes it sounds like he is taking over all of Twitter. “What is all this high resolution text?! Back in my day, we used birds to tweet to each other, AND WE LIKED IT!!!”

  • GregoryTheRainMaker

Not a good move, but whatever…they would do something like this..lol.
