Ubisoft has been teasing Wii U owners with Child of Light for some time now, but we’ve finally got a new trailer that shows off how the crafting system works, in addition to giving us another look at the gorgeous graphics of the game. We know the game will fully support the GamePad when it’s released, but we haven’t gotten a look at that support yet.

Another great piece of news that comes with the release of this trailer is that the game will be available for download on the Wii U eShop April 30th, 2014. Hopefully we’ll see some more information about how the game plans on utilizing the GamePad in unique ways, but until then be sure and enjoy this colorful look at the world of Lemuria.

  • Blue Hernandez

I will have the hardest time deciding whether I want this for my Wii U or 3DS

    • asd

3DS?! .__. I donΒ΄t think this game is going to be for 3ds, it is for wii u, xbox 360, ps3 and pc I think.

      • Blue Hernandez

    Really nice looking!!!

I like to see major publishers like Ubi doing Indy sized projects like this. It looks wonderful and is done by Rayman team with Rayman engine. Supposed to be Indy priced as well coming in at under $20 if rumors are true.

  • I’m a little disappointed that it’s turn based combat. Personal preference of course but I feel I’ve played to much turn based combat recently. Looks like a good indie game… But it’s by Ubisoft? The Templers can’t have seized total control yet.

Quick, Ubisoft, make a 3D Rayman game whiles you still have some soul!

    • TaintedXGamer

Remember the pre Rayman 4 raving rabbids before it got turned into a mini games fest? (You can find it on YouTube somewhere) I still want that to happen. They got no excuses now. We got wii u. Many ways to controls. 3D Rayman 5 now ubisoft. No rabbids if possible, or at least I hope the creator wants to make it happen someday. I’d love a game like hoodlums havoc in HD.

  • Jon

interesting. I thought this was going to be another 2D scrolling platfomer but now that I see this with RPG elements and such… I am very interested πŸ˜€

  • Rodger_Ramjet

Wow! How great does this game look!!! Great to hear it’s coming to the eShop. Nintendo is doing such a great thing for indies. I’m going out on a limb here but I believe WiiU/Nintendo eShop concept will be indie platform of choice. Well done Ninty!!

looks interesting… part rpg part side scroller?

  • RyuNoHadouken

looks really nice…i could see myself putting in some serious hours with this

  • Emily Horton

This is the first I have heard of this game.

And I really, really need to get it now! Looks awesome!
