Today Ubisoft has shared a new video showcasing artwork from Child of Light specially commissioned from renowned Japanese character designer and illustrator Yoshitaka Amano. The video shows a time lapse of Amano drawing Princess Aurora in his signature style. According to Amano, he wanted to convey the challenges that any child may face born into the world of Lemuria.

When a child is born, she must fight against the challenges of the world she lives in. That is what I wanted to express.

A copy of this artwork can be purchased with the Deluxe Edition of the game, which also includes an Ingniculus key ring as well as a 24 page art book. The game is scheduled to release on April 30 for Wii U, PS3/4, Xbox360/One, and PC.

prepare to hear from the babies crying about how the deluxe edition isn’t available for Wii U (and their subsequent boycotting of Ubisoft if they haven’t already done so) in 3…2….1…. hahahahaha!!!!

Yep there will be complaints thats for sure

Dumb question … maybe …. does this mean this game is going retail (because of the deluxe edition) ?

    • I believe the deluxe edition can be bought online but will not be on a disk, it’ll be a code that you have to redeem.

Thank you for taking the time to reply Yuma. 😀 Too bad that it won’t be distributed in disk retail. I prefer buying games this way (rather then digital). But this game looks great and might have to get it digital …. cheers 😀

Everywhere I’m reading says the deluxe edition is only coming out in European territory’s and only for the PS3, PS4, and PC. No Wii U or xbox, xbone.
