You’ll need a significant amount of rupees on hand in order to buy it, but it’s there waiting for you to fill it will all the loot you’ve found in your adventures across Hyrule. Here’s the steps you need to take in order to buy a house.

How to buy a house in Breath of the Wild

  1. Visit Hateno Village in the east of the map.
  2. Find the men diligently tearing down a house in town.
  3. Speak with their boss, Bolson.
  4. Through conversation, you can convince him to sell you the house for 50,000 rupees.
  5. You can haggle that down to 3,000 rupees and 30 bundles of wood.
  6. Talk to Bolson after you’ve bought the house to acquire furniture and other items.

Congrats, home owner! You’ve now got a place in the game to call your own and you can even hang some of the best weapons you find throughout your adventures inside. It’s a pretty significant investment since you’ll need at least 3,000 rupees to buy it and Bolson will ask you for money for each item of furniture you want him to make, but it’s well worth it.
