The English version of Bravely Default is scheduled to come out in Europe sometime this year and Nintendo has just released a trailer to help hype up the release. The English version will be based on the Japanese Bravely Default: For the Sequel which has several improvements to the game, including extra graphics polish, animated characters during conversations, and a better user interface.

Advanced difficulty settings will also be included in this version and the new English audio tracks can be replaced with their original Japanese audio if you prefer. For this release, players will also be able to change the on-screen text to French, Italian, German or Spanish. Currently there’s no concrete release date for the European version and the North American version is expected to release sometime in 2014.

Sorry I just hate this gameplay. If only Square Enix would support the 3DS, I’d love a good Final Fantasy game.

uhm … this is from square and for the 3DS, but yes i would also like a final fantasy game on my 3DS. Like FF7 Crises Core for example

      • Ducked

Crisis core is one of my favorite FF games ever. I know people complain the combat is to easy, but the storyline is one of the best in the series. A FF game about Cloud would be awesome.

        • YogiGRB

Me to, I especially liked the combat system in the game. It’s “realtime” mechanics are so nice for the flow of the story.

Yeah, I’m really hoping they make a side game to the storyline involving Zack, or Cloud. Or make a new FF series with Zack, Cloud, and Leon as the main protagonists. (my three favorite FF characters)

Hopefully one day there make a remake of Final Fantasy VII on the PS4 and Wii U.

Is this a turn based RPG? It’s a little unclear on that.

    • Yes, it’s a turn based RPG using a Job System (class system).

      • SleepySkullhead

        Sounds fun!

  • I’m still very interested in this title but please Square I hope you have not made the same terrible mistake as by FF: 4 Heroes of Light, I like to lvl-up my characters and train them a lot, but if monsters scale up with your characters and become very overpowered the game becomes unplayable, that happened to me at FF: 4 Heroes of Light. FF 8 used a similair system but that game never became unplayable unlike FF: 4 Heroes of Light.

I ended up at lvl 80 or so near the ending making the end boss and optional bosses unplayable as they oneshotted my tank char not to mention my mages (as the bosses that late in game may attack 3-5 times in one turn, therefor wiping my party in one turn and making it impossible to heal against it and beat the bosses). I really hope they have not made the same mistake on this title as I know the same team is behind this game as the team which made FF: 4 Heroes of Light.

I am so hyped for this game it’s unbelievable. I have heard nothing but high praise of this game from Japan, especially about the story, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Hope we get solid release dates soon. We only have 3 months left of the year after all.

Looks extraordinarily like FF3&4 on DS (both story-wise and visually)
I can’t be the only one seeing this

  • Caitlin♂

I think this could turn into a good series of games for Nintendo (If they even make a second) depending on how well this one goes.

  • Wiiluigi

Finally! I need this! Looks great!

    It’s coming December 13th! :3
Still no confirmation for you guys in the US though…

    • Too bad the Nintendo 3DS is region-locked, or I would import it in a heart beat. I hate having to wait.
