Blind gamer finishes Zelda Ocarina of Time after almost 5 years of trying

We’ve seen plenty of Zelda Ocarina of Time speed runs, some which can complete the game in 18 minutes, and we saw another guy complete the first three dungeons blindfolded.

But Terry Garrett deserves special recognition when it comes to playing Zelda Ocarina of Time. He’s a blind gamer and has spent the last five years playing the game. And after almost five years of playing, of trial and error, he finally completed it.

You can check out his entire five year progress on his YouTube channel, where his first video was posted almost 5 years ago.

It’s an impressive feat, to say the least, especially when you consider just how complex some of the dungeons get (it took me weeks to beat the damn Water Temple, so I can only imagine how hard it must have been for him).

The video below shows his setup, where he explains how he plays games as a blind person.

You can check out Garret’s final run below. “It has been long in the making, but I have finally accomplished my goal!” says Gerrett in the video description.
