3D artist “Tom-3D” created this amazing 3D render of a Wii U controller. Be sure to view the full size image and enjoy the details that he put in — it’s quite impressive. For more on his work, you can drop by his DeviantArt page, which has additional renders of the Wii U console and the controller. Eddy120876 Im loving the design more and more. The 3DS is the real inspiration for the Wii U controller and it looks amazing. david6 Its such a bad design it makes me want to cry:( .Nintendos only one step away from rising above mediocrity. Fire whoever designed controller and box, let fresh artist work on it. david6 What about Nathans idea of no buttons and just have nunchuck motes connect to screen sides? swic11 That would make the controller even bigger….. So I don’t know what you want here. Otherwise, this thing looks great, I can’t wait to get my hands on it either…. nathant16 No it wouldnt. You would take off the side spaces and just have screen as ascessory, then connect wii mote on each side as compact. alienfish That would be ugly as hell and be a pain in the a** to set up all the time. I plan on having my Wiimotes in storage for most of the next five years and playing games on a new and complete controller. Biggest downside to that plan: no dual analog control. The design is great just the way it is except for the fact that they still haven’t announced analog triggers or circle pad clickers. swic11 yes it would, thicker = bigger.. swic11 not you alienfish, i meant that for nathan Lilfid Looks really great !!! And most of That good quality from nintendo Like always … Lilfid Is it à good size to play ? Well see That … Really cant wait !!! BlueFalcon I want my hands on this Controller! Nintengoth Looks great cant wait for E3!!! david6 God, you all sound like broken puppets. Design means everything at this stage, especially if your going first. Smurfman256 david6, get out of here. we all know that you are a stuck-in-the-past troll who cannot comprehend progression. david6 Its critical. Oh yah theres hearts coming out of the holes of my body, get real, it can be so much better. Its a competition, its the fate of nintendo. Its ground. david6 I dont mind screen controller, just make it sleeker, sophisticated, more mature, style something. david6 The console and controller, just make it neat, thats what people want. david6 Pictures i seen, console, controller, its basement generic. It doesnt excite me at all. Majin The controller doesn’t excite you? Sorry to break it to you, but NOBODY has ever thought “That is going to fail. The controller doesn’t even remotely judder my widdle-waddle”. Get a grip, troll. alienfish It is. david6 Your some mean little puppets, i just had taken interest and am trying to help. I know whats grade when i see it. So dollys, what about all the critics after last year gamescom? Plus nintendo IS changing the design, im just curious what it looks like. But we may not know till e3. Roo @ David6 It’s not going to change exponentially. Personally the only change I would like to see to the controller is have the the right joystick and abxy buttons switch positions. Other than that, the controller is perfect in my opinion. The Wii U controller itself combines every piece of recent technology people have loved. – A Touch screen tablet, like an Ipad – full controller buttons, like an Xbox controller – Graphical capabilities for the screen like the PS3 (system itself will likely be higher though) -And motion control from the Wii This thing has absolutely everything people could want and MORE. How the hell can’t you love this thing?! alienfish All of that except two things that have become very important in games: analog triggers and clickers on the circle pads. I really can’t imagine playing something like GTA without those triggers to control the throttle of a car. Roo Well now instead of that, they implemented a touch screen, where you can have dozens of more buttons. alienfish I don’t see how that is a compromise of any kind, it would be more of a trade off. How is a touch screen going to throttle a car? How are more buttons going to match the speed of a button pressed directly on the circle pad? The answer is that they can’t do those things and the end result is going to be a nice touch screen controller that also feels empty somehow. If Nintendo really wants hardcore gamers to come to their new console, then this is something they simply must do. david6 Maybe its the white.:p Dan7el(WiiU day one purchase) I think the controller will be a huge innovation to gaming… not because we can play with touch buttons but because this enables a second screen into the game world. Now we can still all our items and collectibles on the bottom screen and select what we need by touching it or by selecting it with a button and then we look back at our hd television and get a seamless experience because nothing is clogging up the screen. There’s nothing on the tv to remind you that you’re playing in a virtual reality, all of the clutter is gone. Genius Nintendo…Absolutely Genius! swic11 As much as I agree with this, because thats what Nintendo’s going for, it also has drawbacks because now I have to look away from the TV. Say I’m playing Zelda, instead of pressing pause to equip an item, I can do it in real time by looking down to select the right gear. As awesome and tremendous as this is, I still have to look down. Well, thats what I have heard from a lot of gamers, and I kind of agree, but I’m ok with it. Mr. Stego Your name… The part in parentheses it don’t make any sense because Im buyin at midnight release.
