Bayonetta 2 Wii UWii U owners were disappointed a few days ago when Ubisoft revealed that not only was Rayman Legends delayed once again, this time for several months, but that the game will now also be released on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The delay is due to Ubisoft wanting to release the game on other platforms, which means Wii U owners won’t be getting it early, either.

However, don’t expect other Wii U exclusives to trickle into other platforms. Developer Platinum Games has confirmed that Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 will stay Wii U exclusives. Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya tweeted this to concerned fans:

“We’re a development company. Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and W101, and they sell it. So if Nintendo says ‘We’re putting Bayonetta 2 on PS360′ it’ll come out on those platforms…So ask Nintendo about it.”

When Nintendo revealed last year that Bayonetta 2 would be a Wii U exclusive, gamers reacted in a similar fashion, taking to Twitter and social media to criticize Nintendo and the developers from making Bayonetta 2 a platform exclusive. Whenever there’s talk about exclusives, someone always ends up disappointed, apparently.

Go stand in the corner. You’ve earned it.

      • You are playing with power… NINTENDO POWER MOTHA FUCKA!!

        • Gearchin

The power is too much for him, he would need more than a power glove, to handle it.

  • Srpg2ishere

Ubisoft should’ve let nintendo publish rayman legends…

    • CharmanderRulz

That is unlikely as Ubisoft is big enough to fund the full game but I do think Nintendo shod invest more funds into these projects as they make a lots of buzz. I hope people got the joke in “if Nintendo says ‘We’re putting Bayonetta 2 on PS360′ it’ll come out on those platforms…So ask Nintendo about it” because of how unlikely Microsoft or Sony would want Nintendo to make profit of off them. It would be like the makers of Halo or Little big planet going up to Miyamoto wanting there game on Wii U wight a rightful reply of “How about… no” *as he busts out the artillery and reveals he’s Jackie Chan* or vice verse.

Nintendo says wether this game is exclusive or not. And I’m pretty sure the same applies to Lego City too.  Nintendo 100% funded the development of these games so there is no doubt they will remain on Wiiu 🙂 .  Rayman legends was up to Ubisoft. But as we all know they broke promises they made. I had to go to my City centre today to cancel my pre order of Rayman legends which is a waste of time and money for me.

Got NBA 2k13 for my Wiiu though and it’s awesome. I’m English and I bought a Basketball game!  Not had one since PS2 days XD. It’s a really really good game though so far.

I bought AC3 and ZombiU and I don’t regret either purchase and I WILL buy games such as Splinter cell blacklist and appreciate Ubisofts support  if they come to Wiiu. But will I buy Rayman Legends on the day it launches ? no.  I will buy it pre owned 2-3 months after it launches. Because I’m really not happy about it. Getting my hopes with Demo’s , Making me tell friends about this game and showing them , putting £40 down on a pre order , etc etc etc.

now thats what im talkin bout!!!!

Any 3rd party company that shows loyalty I support. I don’t blame to whole company just the money hungry executives. But you live and die by their decisions. Companies like Bungie, Naughty dog, Insomiac, Epic somewhat, and others but I can’t think of any right now…

Nintendo puts the money into it so I garuntee it’s never going to be on another system.  Nintendo would really stupid to do that and become another Sega, and we all know no one want’s that crap.

“Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and W101, and they sell it.”

  • Platinum Games = Always straight to the point and never lies

Ubisoft = Pretends like everything is going well with the exclusive but then decides at the last minute to make it multiplat and releasing months away from the set date and time.

  • Nintengoth

It always seems that Nintendo loose the exclusives never the ps3 or 360, not that i like it but why dont Ninty have Uncharted or  Gears Of War?

    • PacoJerte

Sony and Microsoft pay alot for those games to be exclusive remember when the guy from epic said he would like to see GoW on the U but Legends and ZombiU were made exclusives buy Ubisofts choice

  • Nintendofreak

ubisoft u should learn from platinum shame on u

  • Ben Newcomb

I thought Nintendo bought out Platinum game. I’d be shocked if Nintendo let those knock off companies have one of their games.

    • Daniel Gonzalez

No, they’re independant. Though, I feel that would be a great purchase for Nintedo if they did end up buying Platinum Games in the near future.

  • Ben Vangenechten

Wow, we so needed a news article about this to know that…

  • Well, least there are some developers that have faith and are loyal to their word and promises.
