The pre-order details for Batman: Arkham Origins were recently released with no mention of Wii U offerings. Players who pre-order the game on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC are guaranteed two skins, two challenge maps, and the ability to play as series villain, Deathstroke. While the Wii U version wasn’t discussed, the image below was recently sent out to those on the DC Comics mailing list in promotion of the pre-order bonuses.

Batman Pre-order bonus

The Wii U version of the game is clearly displayed among the other versions in this image. While the Wii U has had limited DLC support for third party games, The Wii U version of Arkham City came with a bunch of added features. This makes it seem odd that content would be excluded from the Wii U version of the prequel.

How do you guys feel about this situation? Would the exclusion of the pre-order bonuses influence your decision to buy this game on Wii U?

This is of topic but i have to share some love to all the Zelda Fans out there. I went from Switzerland to Paris to see the Symphony of the Goddesses this Saturday. It was the most beautiful thing i’ve ver heard and I had so much emotions. I was so happy to see how many people like the Legend of Zelda. You guys should go see it if they come near your city.

With the Age of 21, I have alot of hobbies, I have a Job, a beautiful Girlfriend and am pround of my life…but I am taking the time to share this with all of you.

    I love my Wii U.
    I love Nintendo.
I love The Legend Of Zelda..FOR LIFE!

    • Linskarmo

I wish I could go. It sounds wonderful.

    • Nintedward

With the Age of 22 , I have a lot of jealousy for you right now 😛

Wish I would of went to the one in London!!! Zelda music is the best thing ever , it fills me with goosebumps. It takes you right back to the time when you when you were playing the game and makes you realize just how epic the game was.

Even though it was only late 2011 when I played it , When I listen to the Skyward sword soundtrack I like, well-up inside. The ”internal man cry” as I like to call it. It’s like a mixture of pride , happiness and internal tears.

      • djvalbnc

true! and since its an orchestra and not polyphon music anymore, (which was already awesome), you can imagine the power…it was great. none of my friends are zelda fans, so i wanted to share it here.

        • TheGloamglozer

I’m British too! And I love Zelda music. I sing it when I go for long walks.

          • gamesplayswill

            YES!!!, JUST YES!!!!

        • Daniel Gonzalez

          Stop being so British.

    • david jarman

      Fist bump!

  • ancientgamer

well if the wii u dont get the stuff mentioned above thats false advertisement and im sure there will be lawsuits, they cant picture the product and label it as such saying you get this stuff and then no deliver

  • Petri

Our retailer lists DLC as pre-order bonus for Wii U

  • Mark Thom

    • Petri

      Been wondering that as well.
Maybe Nintendo makes it somehow difficult to release DLC.
Ubisoft has managed to get their DLC on eShop though.

Maybe Nintendo just does not like publishers that release day one DLC, and sells half the game as DLC (yes, I’m talking about you, EA).

      • Guest No. 3

Nintendo has stated before they don’t want DLC scam traps.

  • John Andalora

No, it probably wouldn’t influence my decision to buy it, since I don’t really want to buy it anyways.

  • 7Down

Note the small text under “2 challenge maps 2 skins”

It says: “Internet connection required for Downloadable content, not available on all systems”.

EDIT: platforms, but whatever you get what I meant by systems

Sneaky devils, so, ancientgamer, I don’t think there can be any lawsuits.

    • 7Down

Just to add, I find this to be complete BS, they’re messing with us, teasing and trying to see if we take the bait.

That’s how it seems to me, but I don’t know.

    • ancientgamer

seen the internet thing couldn’t read not available on all systems, sneaky sneaky

      • 7Down

Indeed, I hate this small text crap, it should be illegal >:(

        • ancientgamer

right any advertisement should have a minimum font size regulation

      • wiiu4life

What does internet connection have to do with WII U ?

        • ancientgamer

you obviously missed the rest of the conversation

  • abe

errr small print on the bottom of that promo “not available on all platforms”

    • Kaihaku

Disappointing but helpful. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • Superstick98

Why is it that these developers never discuss Wii U? What do they have against it? What did it do?! >_<

    • Guest No. 3

WARNING: You have just placed troll bait. WARNING. Continue with caution.

  • I think it’s a good thing. Wii U CAN DO DLC. I dont get why developers are turning a blind eye to it. I mean, Assassin’s creed got it. That worked out fine. Most of it is just packed in the game from the start because they’re older games. I dunno. I feel like some publishers short stick Nintendo just because they’re used to it

  • here is some awesome music from a game from sunsoft

  • D.M.T

Here’s my opinion on this whole thing: if you’re gonna bring a game to the Wii U then do it right. Don’t make us wonder if we will get DLC or not, don’t announce the Wii U version of the game after the other ones have been announced and don’t give us the worse version of the game.

3rd party devs wonder why their games dont sell on Nintendo consoles. Well it’s because you give us the inferior versions of games or you don’t give us DLC. Stop doing that and you’ll see an increase in sales

  • Shadriczo

Instead of calling it Wii U, why not call it: NuES -Nintendo Ultra Entertainment System- (insert symbol here to fit with the name.)

    • D.M.T

Dude it’s too late for a name change, just accept it and hope for the best.

      • Shadriczo

I know, I’m just saying if there was still a chance back then.

    • Revolution5268

because that sounds soo gay…im sorry but it true. If they do called it something other then wii brand name then that console DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE BACKWARDS COMPARABLE.

  • Shadriczo

Also, i’m sick of the dev’s treating the Wii U like it’s just another day at the ballpark, eating snacks and just watch how their own team loses the game followed by a ranting.

  • Nintedward

Absolutely sold on this game. As long as they follow the amazing foundations that were layed down by Rocksteady games , it can’t fail.

  • Bob Singh

Read the bottom. “not available on all platforms”

    • Revolution5268

ah hell no i read that secret message too. if thats true then i wont be buying this game at all. I wont be fool by warner brothers bullshit.

  • Guest

this advertisement would imply that wii u too will recieve the pre order content.. this article is an attention getter nothing more..

  • Shaun Kessel

just checked on a the wii u is getting deathstroke a a preorder bounus

  • miiandmario

Nice, good news if your getting for the wii u

  • JeanPaul

Why would it be? I thought it was obvious…

  • I’m buying this game on the Wii U either way, as long as reviews show that it lives up to the quality of Rocksteady’s entries in the series. I’d prefer the bonus for sure, and it may influence whether or not I preorder, but honestly not a big deal.

  • I have this game pre-ordered for the Wii U so I hope it gets the pre-order DLC deal. If not I will not be a very happy gamer.

  • Agent721

I played Arkham Asylum on the 360 & Arkham City on the PS3, but if the WiI U gets all the DLC, Ill play this new installement on it. Its all about the tablet as Batman’s computer!

  • EhenTi LaNero

no who really cares about deathstroke, anit the game about batman if they give the ability to play as a villian in story mode over a hero it would kill the story, any other like red hood, grey ghost, the phantasm, the list of support hero in batman is almost endless and they give deathstroke… no mater the system i might not play that part of content, i never plaied the joker content from my PS3 exclusive still at 0%…

  • Charley Abrams

I plan on getting the game reguardless, so I am going to pre-order in hope for the extra bonuses. I hope they don’t take forever to mail it though, like they did when I pre-ordered Lego City.
