With the announcement of Swords & Soldiers II for the Wii U, Ronimo Games has been asked if they plan on bringing Awesomenauts to the Wii U. The game was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive in terms of consoles, but the game was later ported to the PlayStation 4 thanks to a partner developer that handled the porting of the code between the two systems. In a recent interview, Ronimo confirmed that they had thought about bringing the title to the Wii U, but that the lack of partner to handle the port has been a factor in why the game isn’t available. We have. However, we haven’t been able to find a good partner to help us out with the port like we did for PS4. With the team hard at work on Sword & Soldiers II, it’s possible we could see Awesomenauts in the Wii U eShop if the developer finds someone willing to port the game to the Wii U. As for supporting Nintendo and the Wii U further, Ronimo Games says that depends on the sales of Swords & Soldiers II. Obviously we love working with Nintendo and their platforms. And we have the theory that the game could do well based on the lack of competition, but it remains a gamble. So before we decide anything else we’ll be looking at the sales Swords & Soldiers II. Awesomenauts is a 2D MOBA style game with unique characters and arenas that would be a great multiplayer addition to the platform, so here’s to hoping someone steps up and shows interest in bringing the game to the Wii U. If you’re unfamiliar with Awesomenauts, you can find the PS4 trailer below. local_offer awesomenauts Nintendo ronimo games swords & soldiers ii wii u stars Further Reading F-Zero X gets updated on Wii U to fix control New Zelda Breath of the Wild trailer and game Super Mario Maker Wii U vs 3DS comparison (vi Get Ocarina of Time on 3DS for only $14 New teaser site for Zelda: Breath of the Wild released How to track NES Classic Mini stock in time for Christmas Gamer Mania Why not Nintendo themselves? Zorpix seriously. they have the money Orto More money than sony as well 🙂 Capt. Smoker Yet surprisingly more stingy than Sony…. :/ Daniel Gonzalez Cheap comes to mind. Skelterz Yea but with all the indie games that are coming to wii u and stuff do nintendo really need to port it themselves I for one don’t care about indie games at the moment there’s too much shovelware. Zorpix 1. Awesomenauts isn’t shovelware. It’s a well established, fun, and competitive game. 2. It’d be the first of it’s genre on the Wii U (MOBA) 3. I don’t want them to port it themselves, but they can pay for a partner for them. It wouldn’t cost them much at all Skelterz I didn’t directly say that this game in particular was shovelware i merely stated there’s too much shovelware compared to decent games on wii u and in my opinion when games like smash bros and MK8 come out this game will be seen as shovelware for the most part because of how much it lack compared to the 1st party titles regardless of genre or being well established that’s just fact i’m afraid. Zorpix well yeah, that I totally understand 🙂 Orto Your SDF nature is getting annoying now. You ponies spend more time trolling the comments section of other fan bases than playing your yawnstation 4. Is that because you have no games to play hahaha Zorpix he’s making a valid point. Nintendo is kinda being cheap Commander Raichu ok fine he likes sony and yes he only comments on negative nintendo articles here a lot but COME ON they got like what 20 billion THATS ENOUGH TO BUY (calms down) both ea and ubisoft combine and still have enough to support themselves they need to use some of it 😛 Zorpix for a company with billions, yeah. they’re being super cheap PrincessKairi Because that would make too much sense! Skelterz Because why would they think about how many indie games have already come and how many are coming who cares if we miss one or two, It feels like everyone has been blinded by this influx of indie games and the whole scene that comes with it, everyones chewing off the same bone right now its not going to last this whole indie thing. I’d rather nintendo spend pocket change on making new games or paying people like square for games like kingdom hearts the indie scene will die soon we need real games. Gamer Mania Explains why the Indie Games seem to be more innovative and could save the industry compared to AAA games… Indie Games wont die.. sorry bro Skelterz It will die out eventually believe when this Gen take another leap on quality for all platforms when there is suffecient content that appeals to a wide mass audience watch DLC get forgotten about The Division,Smash Bros, Zelda U,Halo 5, These are just some of the games that will take the cake come DLC is nothing really. DereX I don’t care who funds this game, it needs to happen. Awesomenauts is a fantastic game! Also, the article is wrong about the xbox console exclusive because I own this game on PS3. Greg Lanciotti How about some real games. Im sorry im ranting and raving all over the site today. Im tired and hungover and just letting my frustration out. nintendope How about a real moba like dota or LoL.. That would be kinda cool Zorpix I HAVE BEEN WANTING THIS FOR SO LONG! PLEASE NINTENDO THROW SOME MONEY AT THEM PEOPLE WANT TO DEVELOP FOR YOUR SYSTEM GIVE THEM A HAND ICHI It’s a great game Ninty need to throw some money at it, played it a lot on the 360 but since I don’t own one any more I have missed it and trials HD 🙂 Zorpix I have it and starstorm on PC. It’s a great game. I want it on Wii U Commander Raichu http://weknowgifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/let-me-love-you-giraffe.gif you are speaking wisely young padowan Zorpix Seriously. it’s picture perfect FIreproof_actual Wii Indie U…*sigh*… The_VeryBest I would LOVE this game. (as i am a moba fan) Capt. Smoker Common theme for Wii U, reasons are needed for devs to bother with it Daniel Gonzalez Yep….indie games certainly aren’t helping its image. Skelterz its not helping anything its building a library that nintendo does not need if they just said right open world pokemon game for wii u just like the handhelds released for 3ds as well then they would have so much success im not really into pokemon anymore but you know what i mean they need start making moves man. Capt. Smoker Top much stock is put in these franchises, we need some new ones ^^ Skelterz Fatal frame has just been announced for wii u exclusive mate http://mynintendonews.com/2014/04/22/new-fatal-frame-instalment-announced-for-wii-u/ Capt. Smoker That’s not a new franchise, though it is a decent one Skelterz Yeah i know lol but come on another exclusive and this time its like one of the greatest and most scary survival horrors ever its looking good man its looking good Capt. Smoker It’s probably something I’d buy, I couldn’t enjoy the ones on the Wii that much, the story was there but the graphics was too underwhelming to terrify me, I think it could be different with this one, if there was ever a possibility of say…. Dragon Quest X being localized…. that would make me keep the Wii U ^_^ Skelterz Yeah man well there’s gunna be a hell of a lot of good games coming now Commander Raichu i will go to iwata tie him up and torture him until that happens 😛 jk Gabe Hoffman I really hope this does end up on Wii U. I played it on Steam via free weekend and I enjoyed it sasori obinna mii another indie game. the heck…. indie shovelware confirmed. Skelterz Damn straight im sick of indie games i want real games. darkcreap Yep, I agree with the people here. Too many indies. As much as I like indies, Nintendo should step in and bring more non-indie software. Variety (Good first party, nice third party and nice indie third party) and equilibrium is key for a healthy platform. Skelterz Too many indie games and not enough support from real companies like Square-enix, mistwalker, Ubisoft, Activision, EA. And i know people will be like ubisoft have done loads and EA suck but the bottom line is Ubisoft have like 5 games coming watchdogs the division 2 assassins creed games and the crew and were getting watchdogs late and the assassin’s creed port from xbox 360- most likely. EA have done nothing and people are like who gives a shit but my friend loves football as well as mario so he’s torn he has a wii u but can’t play fifa it sucks for him fuck indie’s we need real support. Mike I remember playing this before on steam. It was a pretty addicting game. Skelterz I completely get the fact Nintendo are embracing the whole indie thing but come on its been indie game after indie game, I’m getting slightly worried that nintendo has nothing besides MK8 and Smash. Like ok bayonetta and hyrule warriors but i probably won’t get bayonetta and hyrule warriors isn’t really what i want from a zelda game so i don’t know, Miyamoto best announce something extraordinary this E3 because the Wii U needs a buzz surrounding it, I think they should tackle Horror may’be. I swear they own the fatal frame series why the fuck are they not making one of those the gamepad could act as the camera obscura or whatever man those games are freaky as fuck to with a massive niche following i’d buy that game. ICHI My god was this comment said with some serious comic timing! Skelterz literally you know what the stars fucking aligned and for once one of us were heard lol nintendo is actually doing something that someone wants hahahah what a prediction i feel pretty blessed lol ICHI If you wouldn’t mind please predict something about F-Zero sometime too 🙂 Skelterz Literally im going to make predictions all the time starting with this nintendo will buy the shares of square-enix that sony sold and we will get the new kingdom hearts and final fantasy game as well as exclusive new crystal chronicles and a chrono trigger remake sometime in 2015 to much….. ICHI Nope that’ll do it lol Skelterz lol Capt. Smoker That would be too good to be true, I could live without the Final Fantasy franchise, especially in recent years, but I’d love to see KH and more DQ games 🙂 and of course… a new Chrono game wouldn’t go a miss Skelterz I think the shares already went elsewhere to be honest but it would be nice to see square and nintendo reform there old partnership man they did great things back in the day Fred At least they have Monolith and we’re getting X! Skelterz yeah Fred X is coming!!! Probably this year!!! Based on my experience with Xenoblade, X will keep me busy for literally a year! ETeach Never thought I’d see the day people (rightfully so) complained about Nintendo having too many indie titles. The complaint used to be there weren’t enough. But as long as big companies shy away from the big N, indies are gonna reign supreme. Skelterz Yeah but not everyone feels good about that i’d rather have more support from major companies and none form indies than fuck all support from big devs and loads of indie, The whole indie thing is quickly becoming old man serious you wait no1 will even care soon how people are gunna buy that game once there playing smash bros lol David Trail Fatal Frame exclusive to Wii U biatches!!!!! Skelterz MY PREDICTIONS HAVE COME TRUE NEW FATAL FRAME EXCLUSIVE TO WII U IM NOT TROLLING http://mynintendonews.com/2014/04/22/new-fatal-frame-instalment-announced-for-wii-u/ IF YOU CLICK MY NAME AND VIEW MY LAST FEW COMMENTS YOU WILL SEE I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS OVER AND OVER CLEARLY IM BLESSED! Skelterz http://mynintendonews.com/2014/04/22/new-fatal-frame-instalment-announced-for-wii-u/ FATAL FRAME EXCLUSIVE WII U TITLE!!!!!!!!! Russel Bowersox give that some two player gamepad power and I would give them sooooo much money. Fred I hope I hope I hope. I love this game, but I hate gaming on my PC so I never play it. If it was on my Wii U it’d get played.
