Last week Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was leaked to the world and since then, we’ve seen quite a flow of information on the game. It’s set in 1715 in the Caribbean and follows Edward Kenway, a notorious pirate Assassin and the father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin’s Creed III. The game has been confirmed for Wii U release and will be available on November 1st, 2013. Check out the trailer below that features Blackbeard describing Edward and let us know what you think about this latest reveal in the Assassin’s Creed series.

  • I’m not so sure of the Pirate theme….really not feeling this

  • Zorlac79

    Definitely looking forward to it!

I sure wish Zelda games were pumped out this quickly… it seems like AC3 JUST came out and already there is another one waiting to come out?!  WFT?!

    • val berger

for crissake NO! Zelda games are about quality gameplay. There are really worlds separating AC-gameplay design from a real Zelda game. Especially AC3 is partially not really good (in my opinion, of course)

I think the AC franchise is a really interesting concept but those games are about the whole creation of a historical (kinda) correct setting, a huge amount of atmosphere and stealth gameplay. They are putting so much different concepts into the game, I really don’t feel it’s always fitting together that good. Zelda on the other hand might not always look like the supermature fantasyslasher, but it’s absolutely polished to perfection and every freakin polygon aims to deliver pure gameplay and fun.
yah, I’m a little zelda nerd, but I think that’s ok here 😉

      • BellsGhost

Zelda isn’t perfect. It’s also so overrated.

        • DragonSilths

Overated to parasitic trolls like yourself.

        • its damn near perfect. what games do you like bell?

          • SoulSilverZero

Reconizes games such as Zelda “overrated”
Likes Call of Duty. (I’m meaning BellsGhost)

please don’t respond to my postings.

I am ALL ABOUT ZELDA and quality.  I KNOW that Nintendo goes all out with the series… but still… all it would take to make the games faster would be to put more developers to work on it.  No matter how long and packed a game is, if you put enough guys to work on it – it gets done quicker.  Don’t get me wrong…  I am not saying I want a new Zelda game every year… but it would be nice to get one every two to two and a half years – THE MOST!  When you love the series so much… it SUCKS to have to wait that long!  But I totally get your point.  IF getting more games meant losing quality – then I would be against it.  BUT – if they would be able to make killer AAA titles sooner by putting more people to work on it then I am all for it.

  • Paul Brown

I’m getting sick of the AC franchise

    • Nintendofreak

same here it will problaly become the same shit as cod

      • BellsGhost

Like Mario and Zelda? Stupid hypocrites.

        • HSN1

          Mario yes
          Zelda definitely no

        • DragonSilths

Zelda is 1 game every 5 years. So stfu. Mario…well the main 3D Mario’s is usually 1-2 games on a system period so thats 1-2 games over 6 years…exposed.

          • Metal_Man_v2

The only 5 year gap in the Zelda series is between Link’s Awakening and Ocarina of Time.  The other games were 1-2 years apart. Not that that’s a bad thing though.

          • Dominic Coradazzi

Actually, the TP to SS gap was 5 years, the ALttP to OoT gap was 7 years, and the WW to TP gap was 4 years
I think Rey was trying to say that console zelda games are usually about 5 years apart

          • Metal_Man_v2

Well, he didn’t specify like he did with Mario. But I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

          • RoadyMike

I don’t think he meant the time gap between each game.”Exposed” my ass…
What he meant is his own, personal dislike of those franchises an/or Nintendo in general. He is a troll.Scum of the internet(when its not funny)

        • me

yea marios the same shit every time………………….

        • bizzy gie

Aaaawww. Mommy wouldn’t get you a Wii U, so now you rant on a site dedicated to something you want so much trying to pretend like you’re not missing out on much. How sad.

        • Tim van Broekhoven

I think he ment that there are also GOOD games that have many releases in a short period of time. Like Mario…

        • Nothing5555

Like God of War, Sonic the Hedge Hog, Street Fighter, Tekken, all the sport games, Metal Gear, Halo, Gears of War, Kirby, Uncharted, etc…

      • michael546k

no they’ll probably add new weapons, a new story, new sailing mechanics, etc.

  • Arsonist Monkey

I wanted a pirate game before this was even revealed. Damn it! I am getting this game!

    • mabhlink

  • mchelski

Well, I was quite disappointed with AC3, I thought it was quite dull and even the graphics were poor. I believe the franchise has reach the point where it’s better stop and be remember as great or became a new resident evil/final fantasy. People should learn when to stop.

    • RoadyMike

This applies to Nintendo as well you know :/

      • mchelski

I don’t think so, take zelda for example, link to the past is quite different from ocarina of time and twilight princess was quite unique too, I don’t feel any diference from one AC from another, maybe because the gap of time between them is quite short

  • Mr. Nick

Argh! Time to play me a pirate game me matey!

  • WHY SO SOON?????

    • DragonSilths

AC has been a yearly thing for what? 3 years now…shouldnt be surprised.

  • Looks pretty and the pirate theme is a cool idea….

But not sure where the series goes at this point. Desmond is supposedly dead, so unless now they are just making games to make games in different points of history, I’m not sure how this ties in. I thought AC3 was suppose to be the conclusion of the story line started, but it certainly resolved nothing and if nothing else only made the entire series feel pointless because everything Desmond did only further doomed everyone

I personally will hold judgement on this one until I know a little more about what the plot is

    • Arthur Jarret

Did you do the pivot missions? Someone is talking throughout doing them (‘this animus is all hacked to *&%^’) – the pivot missions of AC3 are an indication of where the ‘modern’ story may be heading.

Of course, hacking is a major skill of the erudito group, also seen in Brotherhood and the smartphone game… I believe the next games will focus more on this group.

I’m getting this on WiiU day one…AC3 is great and the sea battles were awesome, so this game is all about the sea =awesome too.

  • Zelly Jeffers

Excuse me while I change my panties.

  • Nintedward

    Testing , testing 123

    • RoadyMike

      Titty sprinkles

      • RoadyMike

        Everything works fine 🙂

  • Mzmerize761

Damn you Ubisoft, making me spend my money. Now, who do I write the check to…

  • mikeloveswiiu

Definitely getting this on launch day for wiiu

  • NintendoNoob

Should wait a while Ubi to release the game, take time in the game so it will be the best in the franchise. You wont get that by releasing it this year, wait another year or so, so peeps will be begging for a new AC and when you release this they will go mad. But what am I saying? I’m a noob
Ubi will just rush this game out for the holiday season

  • darkstar18
  • C.S. Bailey

Do a better job of quality control, and this might not be a game bought used. Second bite at the apple; don’t screw up the Wii U version.

  • Arthur Jarret

Everyone wondering about the modern stories continuation if Desmond is really dead, read this:

(Although you should know most of it by playing multiplayer):
