As we get closer to the release date of November 22nd, Nintendo is teasing us harder with brand new trailers for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. This brand new trailer showcases some of the music you can expect to hear in the game and the nice thing is that it’s both music from Hyrule and Lorule, the new dark world from the game. Each has their own feel with Hyrule sounding particularly cheery, while Lorule sounds a bit more foreboding and ominous.

Some of the puzzles in this game look like they’ll be absolutely diabolical, so I’m really looking forward to playing. The trailer also mentions that weapons are upgradable, so it’ll be interesting to see what path Nintendo takes the series this time.

Are you looking forward to the game? Let us know in the comments.

The return of the magic meter!

    • Pikachief

Except different. It’s used for everything in this game including arrows.

  • So excited for this game, I can’t wait! I absolutely adore the music in the second trailer.

    • Pikachief

The second song in the gameplay trailer is the Hyrule Castle theme of A Link to the Past played backwards 🙂

  • Joshua Brodie

This bring back the feeling of playing zelda as a child. Gives me goose bumps. Super excited.

    0:48 …Majora’s Mask???

    • Makakilo_Man

      I think you’re right.

    • The Clockwork Being

If you look closely you can see a U like symbol close to it. MAJORA’S MASK IS GOING TO BE ON WII U!

      • Keyser

where??? why can’t I see it?!?!?!

Wait I totally just remembered something! When asked about a possible Majora’s Mask remake, Aonuma said the answer would be in this game, right? Did we just find our answer?!

        • The Clockwork Being

I’m just messing with you. But if you continue the video, you see that Ravio just jumps up to block you. Now the view that was being shown during the trailer was an overall view, one that is used to show a new area(introduction view at 0:43) before actually being able to walk around in it. So this moment where we can see Majora’s Mask is only the first clue in my opinion. So the first time you arrive at Ravio’s shop you see the Majora’s Mask but he blocks. From the normal view you won’t be able to see it since it is on the wall. But you will be able to do it with Link’s new ability.

What I am getting at is that Aonuma is kinda trolling or teasing us. He shows you the Majora’s Mask intentionally in this trailer and when you first arrive in Ravio shop. This will urge you to go around and try to find a greater number of clues.

Although this does make me curious. Majora’s Mask is part of a different timeline. Could it be that after the events of Ocarina of Time something happened for it not to end up in Skull Kid’s hand.

          • Keyser

Right! I’m no expert on the timelines, but do we know what becomes of Majora’s Mask on the different timelines? Does Skull Kid only steal it on one of them? And why?

          • The Clockwork Being

Here you go: Yeah he only does in one of them.

          • Jacob D. Taylor

It is of note that the events of Majora’s Mask never taken place in the same timeline as aLttP. Ganon won the fight against the Hero of Time but was ultimately sealed away. In aLttP he (Ganon) is fighting to get out of the Golden Land turned Dark World and back into the Light World, or Hyrule post Ocarina of Time at some unknown amount of time after his previous Link encounter. It is completely possible that Ravio is in some way related to or affiliated with the Happy Mask Salesman (NOTE: I do not know if the Mask salesman from OoT is the same from MM, only assumed). Majora’s Mask would then still be floating around somewhere with whoever it’s been handed down too. The resemblance is certainly striking and I personally feel that Ravio wears that mask for a reason. I also feel it has some part to play. I’m even willing enough to say that Aonuma’s reference to ‘those who play the game’, may have been this.

        • Pikachief

You can also go into the wall behind the mask and make it look like Link’s wearing it 😛

    • dubYA

People are just now noticing this?

It’s been known for months that Majora’s Mask is in Ravio’s Shop.

      • Keyser

        lol guess I’m behind :p

        • The Clockwork Being

          Nah so was I.

    • Many of you have been asking about a remake of Majora’s Mask for Nintendo 3DS. It’s nice to see such a strong response to this title and we haven’t forgotten about Link’s adventures in that world. If you play A Link Between Worlds, you may better understand what I mean by that.

    • jjbredesen

What about 1:06 there is something on the wall to the left. Does anyone know what it is?

  • Sdudyoy

So Ravio owns the Majora’s mask? I’m putting my Ravio is the happy mask salesman descendent theory back on the table.

    • Pikachief

Or that Ravio is a decedent of the dark tribe that was supposed to be watching over the mask to begin with.

  • Thomas Vienna

Wow, it’s like early western music, like from the Renaissance. A bit modernized at times, but very cool.

  • Thomas Vienna

0:15 First trailer, I got chills. I can’t wait for that!

  • Zeldatrek

Looks like the Great Fairy is sooo hungry she could eat an octoro….ooops I guess its the other way around huh.

    • Pikachief

Apparently this game includes a fat great fairy like the original A Link to the Past also lol

    00.45- 00.49
That switch on the floor likes like one of the eyes on Majoras mask.

  • I’m excired for this 🙂 made a deal with a friend of mine, he’ll buy by grey 3dsxl and I’ll get the golden/black xl with this title super excited (love the zelda 3ds) looking forward so much to this game, but I hope I’m not looking to forward to this title and in the end it’s dissapointing… …no, not possible it’s Zelda it can never let anyone down unless they are super duper haters 😀

    • Pikachief

Or unless its Spirit Tracks lol

      • I gotta agree with you on that. I love zelda and played almost every zelda game except phantom hourglass and spirit tracks. The only two I never played and probably will never either.

  • Justagamer

    This game will be mine

  • Ducked

OFF TOPIC: Here’s a new article to write about in the 3DS Section

  • jjbredesen

1:06 look to the left there is a painting or something on the wall?

  • jjbredesen

Since Hilda is Zelda’s Lorule counterpart does that mean she also is a Godess? (Hylia)
