The Wii U eShop offers indie game developers lots of freedom to put their games up for sale, to decide the price they wish to sell at, and so on. Independent developers have responded well to the new path Nintendo is taking when it comes to digital downloads and indie games. Which is why the Wii U launched with 6 indie games on the Wii U eShop, and several more have since been released. And many more are coming in the next few months. The developers and publishers of six indie games have revealed their release dates on the eShop: Bit Trip Runner 2: December 2012 The Cave: Q1 2013 Mutant Mudds Deluxe Q1 2013 Rhythm Alien: Q1 2013 Toki Tori 2: December 20, 2012 Zen Pinball 2: December 2012 Have you purchased any indie games on the Wii U eShop? The graphics are very pretty, the puzzles seem to have multiple solutions. I often find myself constructing dody bridges of platforms with the Wizard, but hey it’s a solution that works! Roel Schuring I think that are the solutions Dominic Coradazzi BIT TRIP RUNNER 2!!!!!! CodyTanner I can’t wait for bit.trip.runner 2!!!!! I’m happy it comes out this month! I had a rage/blast with the first one. can’t wait to try it on Wii U 😀 Nintedward-3DS-WiiU I can positively say I want all them of them once i find out what Rythm Alien is. The wiiu E0shop is a nice place to be! John Rios I’ll take one of your The Caves please and thank you. sharlo galmo i got nano assault nice funny game!!! i want trine 2 , so i gonna buy that one next week!! Tracy v/der Biezen Guys I have a question. I don’t live in the US and the WiiU just got imported the thing is they’re selling the Deluxe version for about $600. There is no other way for me to get it cheaper before the end of this year. Should I buy it? Sylux $600,- I would wait for a few more weeks if I where you, we’ve been waiting for years what’s a few weeks extra imo. You can get 3-4 games extra for the $200,- you have to pay more now. GameChemist Mutant Mudds Deluxe??!! Swweeeeeeeeeeeeeettt!!!!!!!!!!!! Captinn2 I’LL TAKE EM ALL >:D Ryan Saunders I bought Nano Assault Neo on the Wii U eShop, and I was surprised to find that it was only 82 Mb! It’s an awesome game, and it’s beautiful in HD! Online Leaderboards I haven’t gotten to work yet, but that might just be because of my (comparably) slow internet connection. Honestly, Sony’s got something to be afraid of now, mostly because the experience is so much more seamless and fun to mess around with. Yeah, the initial system update was a rough patch, but I don’t even mind that now! I turn on my Wii U just to go on Miiverse, I can’t say that I start up my PS3 just to use the Playstation Home feature, mostly because it takes so long to load and there’s not too many interesting things on it. Nintendo embracing HD is wonderful, but once developers manage to get the hang of optimizing the games for the hardware, then you’ll start to see some real gems on the Wii U. The one-year head start Nintendo’s got will be well worth it, just like the 3DS proved vs the Vita. The Wii U is a real competitor, and Nintendo’s cultivating some real interesting projects for the future, we just haven’t seen them all yet! Haliinen Oh yes, Bit Trip Runner 2!!! Matti Virtanen I need moar better indie games, nano assault was good but ive already hitted the leaderboards enough, trine 2 ive already played on pc, rest seems to be not that interesting for me. The Cave might be a buy on that pool, others.. mmm naah. ewaugh bit trip runner 2 and toki tori 2 UnusualUsually Trine 2 rocks!!! I have also bought Nano Assault Neo which is fun (especially 2 player) but nowhere near as deep and entertaining as Trine 2. Mighty Switch Force has bored me for 4 levels now and I am scared that I will return and never find what some reviewers praise so heavily in this game. I will try and add a more in depth review when I have played more of it though. I’m excited to see what is next for the e-shop. Kyle Ray Parkhurst I’m totally getting The Cave. That game looks so awesome.
