One of the awesome surprises of E3 this year is that Nintendo plans on releasing a 30th anniversary Mario amiibo featuring the original pixelated design of Mario from the first Super Mario Bros. game. It features the original colors used on the 8-bit NES, but a modern color variant will be available, too. Classic Colours Mario amiibo will be available on its own from 11/09. The Modern Colours variant arrives on 23/10 pic.twitter.com/bTE8ES4xSH — Nintendo of Europe (@NintendoEurope) July 22, 2015 We don’t have release dates yet for North America, but you’ll be able to get your hands on the standard color variant September 11 in Europe and the next day in Australia. If you really dig the way the modern color variant amiibo looks, unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until October 23 to get your hands on it in Europe, with next day release again in Australia. Come on, Nintendo of America.
